Adwords and organic rank are not related.

Yes, that's right. They guard the index better than the government does with Fort Knox. It's impossible for a single Google employee to mess around with any site's ranking.
|Re: Angry Google Guy||Lysis||3/12/14 7:24 AM|
The adwords guy isn't a part of the web spam team and isn't an engineer working on the algorithm and I doubt an engineer would be able to implement a "get this guy" code statement past code review.

I concur with what the others have said.
If you're having a problem with indexing, give us an example or two of an article that isn't indexed that you think should be.

Yeah.... I'd bet you weren't talking to Google. Did they call you or did you call them?
Do they control your adwords? As in the ads and the spending?
Cause and effect? Did you take in the 500+ changes that Google make to the algorithum per year into account? You've seen one possible cause (and one of the most unlikely I may add, a sales rep in Adwords doesn't get anywhere near the Organic search algorithum...) instead of many many far more likely causes.... Thats bad science! :)

One thing I noticed.
Your article: http://goo.gl/w8SJud
Is copied here: http://goo.gl/DMhVLf
So... This article seems awesome - why would you then take your fabulous content and put it on a spam site (ezinearticles)? Think about it - when was the last time you, as a user, turned to ezine to find quality and authoritative content?
That may be part of the problem.
|Re: Angry Google Guy||Suzanneh||3/12/14 8:35 AM|
That article is indexed: https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Alennoxtutoring.com%2F2014%2F02%2F16%2Feasy-carboxylic-acid-derivative-chemistry%2F

Just to add to Ashley's comment, a quick check of your backlink profile, from what little I can see, indicates there may have been some blog commenting and directory submission going on? Neither of these will do much good to your website. Luckily there isn't tons of the stuff but it's a possible factor. Cause and effect and all that ;)
Can't fault the content though. Looks very interesting, though if it has been spread around article sites as Ashley implies then its value is being diluted.
One very minor thing on my part. I'm not a big fan of the navigation bar being on two lines. Especially as some of the items on the top drop down and obscure items on the bottom line. Could be considered a possible user experience issue, though not a large one by any means.
Is there a way for you to nofollow the footer link to wordpress.org in your CMS? It appears to be a follow link which, with enough pages, could cause you an outgoing links issue.

I´m going with Dr Lennox on this one. Google employee ate my website. I see the headlines now.
|Re: Angry Google Guy||OwnerEditor||3/12/14 9:47 AM|
Did you call the Adwords guy or did he call you?
|Re: Angry Google Guy||luzie||3/12/14 1:08 PM|
Did you call the Adwords guy or did he call you?
This is indeed the most important question here ... In case they called you, it most likely has just been the common scam cold call, where agencies fishing for clients pretend to be Google.

Okay, that looks like a legitimate number. Have you tried calling back to discuss the situation?

|Re: Angry Google Guy||OwnerEditor||3/12/14 8:18 PM|
Oh, I'd remove any duplicated content as soon as possible. And remember that the algorithm is adjusted hundreds of times a year, so it may be better at finding issues like that than it was in the past.
I'm sorry you had a bad experience on the phone. I agree with Lysis on the correlation/causation thing though. See also this graph, one of my favourites: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:PiratesVsTemp(en).svg
|Re: Angry Google Guy||OwnerEditor||3/13/14 3:10 AM|
Where did he go ... ?
|Re: Angry Google Guy||Steven Lockey||3/13/14 3:49 AM|
I think he has just worked out that isn't a Google phone number.
I can see it been distributed on the web by some dodgy sites as a 'free adwords support' , call us.......
I can't see any listing of this number on any Google website, nor on the list of official Adwords support numbers....
I don't think it was Google you called ;)
|Re: Angry Google Guy||OwnerEditor||3/13/14 3:59 AM|
|Re: Angry Google Guy||OwnerEditor||3/13/14 4:01 AM|
Mind you, it briefly shows 919-9922 before changing to the number he dialled. Odd.
|Re: Angry Google Guy||Steven Lockey||3/13/14 4:04 AM|
Weird, that page doesn't appear on a search for that number, you would expect Google to be able to search it's own sites :)
I even tried to search specifically on only Google sites but no joy.
|Re: Angry Google Guy||OwnerEditor||3/13/14 4:12 AM|
I only found it because someone on Reddit quoted it and linked to the page. The Reddit quote comes up on a search for the number. I saw all the other sites mentioning it and thought exactly the same as you, but finding an actual Google page brought me up short.
It couldn't be an old number that has been taken over by beastly fellows, could it?
|Re: Angry Google Guy||Steven Lockey||3/13/14 4:16 AM|
Possible, might be worth poking a TC to elevate this just to check. If it is dodgy I'm sure Google will want to remove the listing from their site.
|Re: Angry Google Guy||OwnerEditor||3/13/14 4:29 AM|
Agreed. Not sure how to do that but it sounds like a plan.
|Re: Angry Google Guy||travler.||3/13/14 6:45 AM|
To contact Google Adwords by phone, see https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1385067 which is currently set for the US Adwords phone number.
Change the country to bring up the number for that country.
I will post it here even though OP gone in case others need the information.
Showing information for the following country:

|Re: Angry Google Guy||Lysis||3/13/14 7:28 AM|
I didn't get to see the message, but I wonder if the OP got scammed and then called a real adwords number and got pissed because the adwords guy told him he got scammed. Something isn't adding up.
|Re: Angry Google Guy||travler.||3/13/14 7:28 AM|
Oh cheers for that - I had looked but didn't see the phone number referred to at the very bottom.
Will pass this on.
|Re: Angry Google Guy||OwnerEditor||3/13/14 7:41 AM|
@Lysis: yes, there's a logical gap here somewhere.
@travler: great, thanks!
|Re: Angry Google Guy||travler.||3/13/14 9:25 AM|
Hi OE ( and others)
The number on the Adwords page appears to be correct, and works for most of North America.
That number also references the one I posted as the number for 'existing clients' to call so both are correct numbers, as far as we can tell.
At this point, with the OP outta here, it's hard to say who called who, and how that original number came into play.
Anyhow a lot of effort from this forum to sort it out, so thanks to all who tried.
|Re: Angry Google Guy||JohnMu||3/13/14 9:40 AM|
I just wanted to confirm that we have a very strict separation of our search and ads teams, and that nobody on the ads side would be able to adjust your site's ranking. If you are seeing changes in how your site appears in search, those changes would not be related to any contact you might have had with the ads team.
For what it's worth, off the bat I don't see anything specific that is being picked up as bad for your website, but there are almost always things that could be improved. Is there something specific that you'd be interested in?

|Re: Angry Google Guy||JohnMu||3/15/14 2:06 AM|
We don't have phone-support for websearch issues, so I can't really help with that, sorry. I'd really recommend getting insights from peers here in the forum (or on other webmaster forums) -- these folks have seen all kinds of websites and can often give you ideas that you could use to improve your website overall.

I have a HUGE problem.
I accidentally deleted my gmail account charlene....@gmail.com when I tried to deleted a google+ account.
I desperately need to get it back. I am unable to do this on the google site. I used my previous password but it didn't work.
Do you or anyone know how to do this?
Can you please respond to contract...@gmail.com
Thank you anyone!!!

Thanks for the expedient reply! I have tried that, it doesn't work. Keeps giving me my secondary account and not the primary gmail account that got deleted 2 days ago. I wish there was another way to do.

Thanks. Have posted a few questions, seems like a lot of people have this same problem, but no one has the answer as to how to do successfully.
