File Upload in IFRAME bUU_ 4/2/13 8:25 AM
Chrome Version (type about:version into your omnibox): 26.0.1410.43 (Official Build 189671) m
Operating System (Windows 7/8/Vista/XP, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS): Windows 7
Extensions (type Chrome:extensions into your omnibox): Web Developer 0.4.3

We are suddenly receiving reports that the Choose File button in the file upload control (which in this case happens to be in an IFRAME) is no longer working. This is happening in a web application within which it has been working for several years, and there has been no update to the web server stack, or application server code since that time.

This is working fine in IE and Firefox. Only Chrome appears to have a problem.

The attached files reproduce the problem.

Launch test3.html. Click the button and that will popup test2.html, which in turn loads test1.html in an IFRAME.

Okay I've confirmed, now, that window.showModalDialog() is an essential part of the reproducible scenario.

Buu_Level 1,
We are experiencing the same issue with the file uploader for Outlook Web App (OWA) 2010. We currently have Silverlight disabled for another workaround issue within Exchange 2010 so we've been using the basic file uploader that OWA provides. The OWA file uploader is in a IFRAME also and when you click on the choose File, it does nothing either. Hopefully they will have this fixed soon.

Chrome Version: 26.0.1410.43 m

Have you submit this problem in their bug reporter in chrome, if not, I would suggest doing so.

The above bug report has been duplicated into:  https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=225365

The fix should be available with upcoming Chrome 27 release.

Issue is confirmed fixed with version 27 chrome. For those that do not know how to update it, just open the settings and go to HELP, it will auto update at that point.
