Fake live concert streams Joey v/d W. 05/02/17 07:54
Since the last year there are tons of Youtube channels claiming they will livestream a concert or event, but the only thing they do is put a link in the description to a vague website.. very annoying.

Hi Joey,
Welcome to The Official YouTube Help Forum.

You may report the live streams under inappropriate content or clickbait.

Given it's been going on for a year and there are thousands posted, why won't Google/YouTube do something to crack down on what is ruining YouTube rather than relying on users to report them?
Re: Fake live concert streams Dj Reeser 14/06/17 03:45
There is to many of them to report each one individually! Just wanted to see if someone posted a video from last night Hanz Zimmer show in Dublin. There is about 72 filtered results (today's uploads only) with fake live stream!
Re: Fake live concert streams Dj Reeser 14/06/17 04:00
Just simply adding a filter to EXCLUDE LIVE STREAM from search results might help here...

Exactly man, I think the same, let's cease this fake streaming bullshit or at least let's have our way out. Each time I want to check some footage from the gig that I was at I'm drowning in a scam
Re: Fake live concert streams Michal Bielejewski 23/06/17 19:22
sorry for my words, I just can't believe that this procedure is still going on, I've reported many scam profiles long time ago and this problem is not yet solved, which drives me mad
Re: Fake live concert streams DeeLite310 23/06/17 19:36
other than requiring a subscription, this will be a continued problem. spammers sign up for 1000's of fake accounts, have them long enough to post 100's of videos

flaggers can only handle so many videos being reported.

Re: Fake live concert streams Matteo Contrini 26/08/17 15:18
I can't believe that Google is not able to filter and suspend accounts that keep posting videos with no contents and spam links in the description. It shouldn't be that hard, come on...
Re: Fake live concert streams DeeLite310 27/08/17 20:55
because its not automatically detected.
Re: Fake live concert streams Matteo Contrini 28/08/17 01:23
Not that if you report manually they do something. I've reported some channels three days ago and they're still there with all the videos.
Re: Fake live concert streams DeeLite310 28/08/17 10:16
report doesn't automatically remove. they are reviewed and if the team members agree with your report, they give nte channel owner opportunities to correct their mistake. however, since ITS mostly a copyright issue, your report may not generate any removal, since the copyright holders have to do a copyright takedown request

This is an issue for our management company as well.
Re: Fake live concert streams FOOTBALL IN MINDS 30/11/17 13:24
i always search for 'audio' with "last hour" filter. and there are tons of this scams. so annoying. once i reported few of them and tomorrow these bot channels were still standing. please do something
Re: Fake live concert streams Sune Willink 11/12/17 04:55
I also have a hard time understanding why it is not possible to simply filter these user from EVER posting on youtube again. And not just the user, but also the fake sites they are directing our real audiences to. All the videos look alike. "some bandname" + "in concert, live-stream, 4k" or whatever. And then the video is completely unrelated to the artist. So when one of these videos has been flagged as clickbait/mass marketing/scam, every video with a link to the same page in it's description should also be filtered right?
We are up against some clever bots here and I believe they trawl sites like songkick.com with some sort of algorithm and then floods google with the results.

I am in a small band and it is super annoying to us. We are drowning in this shit,.

So please google. Try and see if you can do something about this. We would be ever so grateful :-)

"CLICK BAIT FAKE LIVE CONCERT LIVE STREAM SPAM YOUTUBE VIDEOS"

Yep, Youtube still hasnt done  A THING.

Seriously Youtube, this is a problem that continues to grow everyday, & something needs to be done, as this problem is literally turning into a super virus/hack attack on youtube.

Now it's bad enough to encounter a few of these fake spam videos, but even worse, this person or group creates hundreds of channels EACH DAY, & will upload HUNDREDS of these spam videos to EACH CHANNEL.

Sow now, when looking for legit videos, especially looking up videos with search setting set to search by recent uploads, you have to scroll through hundreds of these fake videos, so down the line, I know there must be alot of content creators who arent getting views, because when anyone uploads a new video, & you go to search recent uploads, there recently uploaded video instantly gets knocked to the 10th or 20th page, as there all taken by these spam videos.  Just put in the youtube search box "Live concert stream" under recent uploads, & youll see a new set of videos EVERY MINUTE OF EVERYDAY, ALL DAY.

& reporting each video and channel for spam is useless, as I'm tired of spending hours a day scrolling through these endless videos and reporting them, because for every hundred or so videos that I flag, they just create a thousand more videos KNOWING that only one person can flag so many videos, but also know they are posting bogus videos, & so they just create multiple channels as back ups to make up for the ones that do get taken down. & it doesnt help that you can only flag up to 5 videos at once at a time, rather then being able to just select and report ALL there videos.

And ALL the videos are from the same site, https://www.livelist.stream/, so there must be a way to get this site reported/banned.

And as far as what Youtube can do, here is an idea. How about not allowing brand new channels to be able to place clickable links in there video descriptions/videos? Then any future videos they upload will be useless.

Here is just a SMALL list of new channels created with videos being uploaded within JUST THE PAST HOUR, at 1pm eastern time on 1-22-2018, each with hundreds of videos-

And there are some channels in this list that I flagged over a week ago, yet they still remain.

There is obviously a large team of people making these videos to be able to create this many channels with this many videos in a such short amount of time, so like I said, flagging all the videos/channels is useless, & Youtube needs to stop depending on its USERS to take care of problems like this, when this is a problem WAY out of anything we can do.

So PLEASE Youtube, get your act together & take care of this problem, as it's only going to get worse, & just continue to drive away viewers & content creators, or just making Youtube less of an enjoyable experience, as pretty soon no matter what you search, these videos will continue to pop up more & more. Thank you.

as repeatedly stated, YOU must tell thye copyright owners. no one here or at youtube can do anything without a report from the copyright owners
