|Attempting to Create YouTube Account for Company||Bob Bobbington||7/5/12 8:20 AM|
I am currently attempting to create a YouTube channel for the company employing me. When I tried to use my company's name, YouTube informed me that the name was already taken. I read about this and, not wanting to go through the hassle of filling out a trademark infringement form, I went to http://www.youtube.com/user/[company's username] to try and send them a PM explaining the situation. The link gave me a 404, and I can't find any videos uploaded by that username. I'm guessing the username is now inactive (meaning I can't message the user), so is there any way I can contact YouTube to get the name back? Sorry if there's some obvious help page I've missed, but navigating Google's help section is like braving an overgrown labyrinth.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you are told that the name is taken and adding it to the end of www.youtube.com/ results in a 404 Not Found error then that username is used up and not available. You will need to pick a different one.
