Hello i have successfully monetized my channel it has been accepted and all I even have the "Congratulations! Your account is now enabled for monetization." but I get the message "Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. To complete the association, please grant YouTube permission in AdSense by following this link." what is this all about?, Can someone please help me I just reopened my adsense account because I closed it personally And for some reason no ads are appearing next to my videos even tho they are monetized? heres my channel www.youtube.com/gameplayvideos247

Check in your linked AdSense account whether 3rd Party access is enabled for www.youtube.com
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/23/12 11:36 PM
In third party access it says www.youtube.com Enabled, my publisher ID matches my youtube one, but my account says hosted, does that mean anything different?, This is really starting to get me irritated since it shouldn't be this hard just to get ads to show up on my videos again.
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 6/24/12 9:42 AM
When you have a "hosted" AdSense account, that means you have to go through an additional application step if you want to show ads on your own website in addition to YouTube. More info:

How long ago was your AdSense account approved and access to www.youtube.com Enabled?

Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/24/12 10:32 AM
Hello thank you for the reply PeggyK, The email I received was on the 17/06/2012, The title of it is "Your AdSense account has been approved for YouTube monetization‏", It is deffeintly about my Youtube account, but when I followed the link you gave me I put in my youtube channel's URL and it says "URL cannot contain host partner 'youtube.com'." Any ideas?, Thanks for the help you are my only hope on here.
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 6/24/12 12:54 PM
Correct, you cannot apply for AdSense with a YouTube URL (if that's what you are trying to do, you should not, since you have an existing Adsense account).

You also cannot apply to update your "hosted" AdSense account to a regular AdSense account unless you have a website of your own to put the ads on.

The "hosted" AdSense account is meant for situations like yours, where you just want to put the ads on YouTube or another Partner site. So you don't need to change that.

So that should not be the problem.

Are you seeing any impressions or earnings from ads on your videos in your AdSense account? or are there no ads on your videos yet?
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/24/12 1:11 PM
Oh ok thank you for clearing that up.

No my AdSense is completely dry, $0.00, No ads at all on my monetized videos, the little $ sign is white as well meaning that it's all good for ads, I am really losing out here and I have no idea why, PeggyK what do you think I should do, could you maybe pass this on to support at AdSense/Youtube or something?

Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 6/24/12 3:40 PM
What happens if you click one of the $ and submit a video for monetization?
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/24/12 5:37 PM
It goes through just like normal, I have to submit it so Youtube checks to see if there's no copyrighted material,I tick "Ad Formats Overlay in-video and  ads TrueView in-stream ads" Once that's all clear I get the approved dollar sign (white sign not grayed out).
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 6/25/12 8:55 AM
I'm pretty sure the $ icon normally turns green when ads start displaying. So if you have submitted your videos for monetization, but no ads have displayed yet ,it probably means the videos are still under review.
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/25/12 9:26 AM
No that's the thing they are approved look at the attached file, I am all ready to go  but no ads are appearing it's seriously getting to the point where it's getting ridicules that ads wont show up next to at least 200 of my videos
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 6/25/12 10:09 AM
My guess is that they are still under review, even though the dollar sign has turned green. Were you asked to provide documentation for the videos?  That's pretty common for game play.

Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/25/12 11:09 AM
Well for some I cannot monetize because I do not have the right documentation but for most of them I got the all clear from Youtube due to my commentary ect, heres some that aren't approved and heres some that are, you can see the difference in the attachment due to no Dollar sign meaning not aloud to monetize that content.
I have just uploaded a test video with no gameplay, but a 15 second video of a drawing I did in microsoft paint with some text in it but just to see if ads are put on the video at the moment it says under review

Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/25/12 11:12 AM
Update: Just got the all clear for ads on the video, No ads are on it at all heres the picture proof to show that the test video is all good but still no ads are showing on it, What the heck is going on PeggyK :(
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 6/25/12 11:42 AM
You uploaded that video 45 minutes ago. It's almost certainly still under review.
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/25/12 12:19 PM
Ok so you believe in giving it some time, maybe a day before we take more action?
Thanks for all the help please dont lose intrest in my problem!
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 6/25/12 1:25 PM
Yes, I do suggest giving it more time. And note that a 15 second video without any actual content might be deemed "not advertiser friendly" by YouTube, so it may never show ads.
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/25/12 11:09 PM
I swear it's a problem with my Adsense account or something, it's just not right.
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 6/26/12 5:12 PM
If your AdSense account is fully approved, and your YouTube account's monetization tab isn't showing any indication of a problem, then it's not AdSense.
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/26/12 11:26 PM
What if I was to change my AdSense account all together, Like create a whole new one then switch my current AdSense association from my old one to my new one?
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. David Lundin 6/27/12 12:36 AM
I would *not* start messing with your AdSense accounts! Multiple accounts is a breach of policy and may get you banned permanently from AdSense.
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/27/12 2:44 AM
But I would be shutting down my account to start a new one, but If I do that does that disable my whole Youtube monitization so I cant do it again?
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 6/27/12 9:27 AM
I agree with David. Messing with your AdSense account is likely to make things more messed up.
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/27/12 11:10 PM
So there is no one I can speak to, at all about this problem like I cannot call up someone or send an email to someone higher up to take a look at this?

I have the same problem, videos are monetized and everything seems in order...yet no earnings on Adsense.
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/28/12 5:44 AM
Exactly It is a true pain and it seems no one has an answer :(
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 6/28/12 9:27 AM
Are you still seeing this message:

"Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. To complete the association, please grant YouTube permission in AdSense by following this link."

Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 6/28/12 12:10 PM
Have you tried "switching" your linked AdSense account to your current AdSense account.
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/28/12 12:29 PM
What do you mean exactly?
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/28/12 12:38 PM
Just got this email from the AdSense team, I click on the link but it takes me to my homepage on AdSense, and of course I still have $0.00 It does not take me to allow youtube on my AdSense?
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 6/28/12 1:00 PM
It should "enable" 3rd party access for www.youtube.com in your AdSense account automatically.

Now give it 48 hours and see if your YouTube channel updates.
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/28/12 1:03 PM
Ok see you in 2 days with an update :)
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 6/30/12 9:58 AM
Ok 2 days later, No ads still Peggyk, What's the next step?
Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 7/1/12 10:14 AM
I'm not sure what you mean when you say "still no ads".

Is your monetization settings tab showing that your AdSense account is now fully linked?

Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. Gameplayvideos247 7/1/12 11:28 AM
My monetization tab has always shown that I have been linked, The problem is that No ads ever appear next to my videos, even after I did what you said about re linking ect, This is getting very frustrating, nothing seems to be working :(...

I thank you for your help PeggyK hopefully we can get this sorted.

Re: Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. PeggyK 7/1/12 11:52 AM
Actually in your very first post you stated:

I get the message "Please note: The associated AdSense account is not setup for YouTube and ads will be disabled. To complete the association, please grant YouTube permission in AdSense by following this link."

If that is no longer an issue, then you probably just have to be patient and wait for your videos to be reviewed for monetization, which can take longer than a month.
