| How am I supposed to appeal if I don't meet the criteria? | PurpleOak | 08/09/17 22:51 | My question is quite simple really, I am a smaller channel and my videos don't get 1k views within 7 days. How am I honestly supposed to appeal any of my videos. I mean all of my videos don't break any ad friendly rules or anything. I was just wondering is there anything I can do? |

Be sure to explain your case carefully, showing why you didn't break any rules. You can only appeal each community guidelines strike once, so be sure to do it right! YouTube will then review your appeal and let you know if it has been successful or unsuccessful. Usually it takes between less than minute all the way upto 4 weeks (28 + days) for YouTube to review your appeal. |

I just finally got hit with the ad friendly thing like everyone else has. I have the yellow dollar sign and to request a review on those types of videos, each video that you want to appeal has to have over 1k views within in 7 days. No if you have over 10k subs that is another method to appeal |

As you can find on Update on monetization appeal and the appeals process, YouTube knows these reviews are important to you and your revenue, so the team strive to review as many videos as humanly possible, as quickly and accurately as possible. At the moment videos with 1000 views on past 7 days are being reviewed. If you want to know the status of the video before making it public, you can upload it as unlisted. Channels with more than 10000 subscribers that want to request reviews, will have the videos reviewed even if they're still unlisted or don't have more than 1000 views. You can recheck advertiser-friendly content guidelines against your video's title, description, thumbnails and tags, to make sure the videos will get the expected classification. Best regards. Aleks |
