Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Michael Zuniga 2/13/12 7:33 PM
Hi folks,

Thanks for reporting the issue of the Video Manager status not updating to "under review" after submitting a video for monetization. Our engineers are working to resolve this and in the meantime, please do NOT re-submit your video for monetization until at least 24 hours have passed. You'll know the review is done once a) ads are showing or b) you receive a rejection email with details.

I'll update this thread again once I've tested and verified the fix.

Best,

Mike

2012-02-23
Note that we are also working on missing "$" buttons in the Video Manager for approved videos (ads still show, don't worry) and reported cases of appeal URLs not working in rejection emails, but here's the link for your convenience:

2012-03-02
All right, this is all fixed now except the missing "$" when your appeal is accepted although ads will still show.

Note that once monetization is rejected, you will not be able to enable your video for monetization again although check your email for how to appeal. And remember you may only submit one appeal per video. YouTube also reserves the right to make the final decision whether to monetize a video, and may disable monetization for users who repeatedly submit ineligible videos.

TL; DR? Always read up on commercial use rights thoroughly here before emailing us: http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1311196

Other monetization troubleshooting tips you should read up on: http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=117739

Thanks for your patience everyone!!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Urgo 2/13/12 7:57 PM
Hi Mike, thanks for the update.  To be clear is this solely a video manager display issue?  Are our videos currently under review and its just not saying as such?  Or after 24 hours from our last submission time if we haven't received an email or see ads are you saying we should resubmit it?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Michael Zuniga 2/13/12 8:20 PM
No problem! Yes, this is a Video Manager display issue. Your claims are going under review and you should wait 24 hours from submission until doing anything else. Note that if rejected for monetization, you can submit an appeal through the rejection email you receive from YouTube.

Remember to keep your email up to date here: http://www.youtube.com/account_notifications

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? premiermoto 2/13/12 8:50 PM

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 2/13/12 8:51 PM
There has always been a problem with the videos 'under review' for monetization.  5% of the time the videos get stuck in this state.  Lately all mine are getting stuck like this, only the old way that people fixed them was to unchecked monetization and re-check it.  This does not work right now it seems.

Oh by the way I'm customneonshirts user if you can please let me know if this gets fixed

If this gets fixed we will be able to monetize like normal? My videos were auto monetize and were never on review like now
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? somerockenguy 2/13/12 9:27 PM
i submitted a video on my second channel "tyl3rkrupa" for montization a week or two ago and it have yet to be accepted or rejected. is this part of the issue or something else?

i am having the same problem i monetized 2 videos one got monetized the other one hasn't still i just tried to monetize it again and when page refreshes goes back to not monetized and that is the video with the most hits lol.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MonStar1234 2/14/12 6:39 AM
Finally a response from you guys. Well if this helps the matter at all, I was able to monetize videos with no music tracks in them, but videos with music tracks that I had fully produced and composed and own all the rights to would not monetize...so hope you fix this asap.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? iDeviceJailbreak1 2/14/12 9:29 AM
Thanks for getting back at us! Is there any chance that this might be linked with users not getting their AdSense account approved through YouTube for a long period of time? There are users that have waited for several months with no reply.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dylloop 2/14/12 1:28 PM
Has this been fixed? this is how I make a living and If I cant put ads on my videos im not making any money.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheShinjikun01 2/14/12 2:01 PM
I cannot monetize videos since 3-4 days now. Always like 5 seconds under review than the button turns back to not monetized. This is really annoying and makes me crazy. I wonder how long it takes to fix that especially cause youtube also looses money through the missing ads to the tons of youtube partners.. I hope they will fix it asap -.-
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? IGreeenTea 2/14/12 3:50 PM
It's still not monetizing ><
Mike, I hope you update us on this fix soon ;3
Thanks in advance!

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? genericHenle 2/14/12 5:48 PM
Well today I uploaded a new gameplay video and it actually monetized! I was so relieved so I tried to do it to my others which are pretty much the same just with different characters, and sadly it didn't work. So... Maybe they're getting close to the problem?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TTCHome 2/14/12 5:49 PM
It happened to me too. What happened is that I had some videos that had Matched third party content and once I deleted those videos and I resubmitted my videos and they go right through now. You might want to check your setting and it will tell you right on the first tab if you have any.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TammyFlores1 2/14/12 5:54 PM
Would this have anything to do with receiving 3 emails for 3 different videos that YouTube says shouldn't be monetized, after they've been up for a year?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TTCHome 2/14/12 5:54 PM

Nothing has changed for me. Videos have been uploaded but can't be monetized still.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? premiermoto 2/14/12 6:05 PM
Good news. Just monetized a video I uploaded 10 minutes ago. All video prior today can not be monetized still. I'm ok with that. I just wanted them to fix it before I upload 100 more videos

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Jakeznaty2 2/14/12 7:37 PM
Hi mike, thanks for updating us with this info i have two things i got a quick questions on..
1)How long will these changes take to be fixed and
2)Im having another problem that any account ive made after around February 1st in the monetization options there is no option to Enable Overlay in-video ads but only to Enable Truview in-stream ads.And even though the video says monetized on video manager THERE IS NOT 1 KIND OF AD WHEN I GO TO THE VIDEO!
Reply back if you are all trying to fix that because im losing A LOT of revenue from this and i think YouTube is also since they gain when they are ads on videos too.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? GodlessManitoban 2/14/12 7:41 PM
I would monetize my videos but click bombing has made me reconsider.

You could mark your video as private to prevent it being watched without ads.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dakotalapse 2/15/12 7:53 AM
When will this be fixed, it has been 3 days since I submitted mine.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/15/12 8:33 AM
@dakotalapse: Did you wait the whole three days for the video being monetized? I aksed because in http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/youtube/thread?tid=1d136b888cbd760d&hl=en they suggest waiting 24 hours. If you already waited three days without reuploading your video (which seems to work very seldom) we know that the 24 hours hint does not work.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Urgo 2/15/12 8:42 AM
Just to update, its been over 24 hours for me since I last submitted my problematic video (probably closer to 48 hours now as I haven't submitted it since this thread was created, and almost 5 days since it was first submitted it) and it still says "not monetized".  Should I be resubmitting it?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dakotalapse 2/15/12 9:46 AM
@XXLRay I didn't reupload the video, I put it up 3 days ago.  Before I saw this thread, I did try to re submit it for monetization quite a few times.   I don't want to re upload it because there are already sites embedding it.  It has an original score by Bear McCreary, which I licensed from him, I'm wondering if that is why it won't go through.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? EricPreslik 2/15/12 10:13 AM
Hi there,
I'm having a problem with my cooking channel (TheVeggieNerd) that may, or may not be related to this problem.

What happens is this: when I submit a video for review within about 30 seconds my video is approved and moved from "Under Review" to "Monetized" but there is no ads appearing on the videos at all.

I've tried waiting several days, and then re-submitting a couple of them, but it seems the problem persists.

I hope my case can help in resolving some of the monetization problems that have been occurring.

Thank you so much for your time.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Zips 2/15/12 10:49 AM
I uploaded four videos last night, all of which I said to monetize from the drop down.  I look this morning and only one says "under review" while the rest don't have any icon next to them, under review or not.  I also received no notification that they were rejected from monetization.  Those other three videos simply did not have their monetization settings saved.

I go to the videos (all four of  them) and click on "monetize" at the top and it just loops back to the video manager.  This happens on old videos that I never once tried to monetize either.

I went to the video that was "under review" just to see if it was indeed a visual reporting error and it was not.  There were zero ads to be found and I'm stuck unable to monetize the other three videos I uploaded last night.  Is there ANY ETA on when this might be fixed?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheShinjikun01 2/15/12 10:59 AM
This makes me really crazy.. 4 days that stupid button turns to not monetized after a few seconds. I dunno why it takes so long to fix that problem and why there is no updated news about this. Every day i get up i hope it's working again but it's not. Sigh.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/15/12 2:15 PM
Is there a reason why this problem is not listed on the current issue site?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Cursed4Eva 2/15/12 2:22 PM
guys there is a fix, go into video editor, add a text banner for like 2seconds to open your video by clicking the t on top then create the custom video, monetise the custom video and that will get monetised... this is the only current workaround,.. worked for me... hope it helps someone :)
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MonStar1234 2/15/12 4:12 PM
@Cursed4Eva Wow I tried that and guess what? My monetization button disappeared completely!!!! For the 3 videos I was trying to monetize the button has disappeared. I did the banner thing and it was under review while processing then all of a sudden, the button disappears! Wow just wow youtube is a mess.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dakotalapse 2/15/12 4:15 PM
@Cursed4Eva I tried adding a banner and my monetization button dissapeared also.  If I remove the banner, the button is still gone.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? ShipperWar 2/15/12 4:26 PM
The videos I had issues with getting monetized, now all don't even have the button or the feature to get them monetized!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MonStar1234 2/15/12 4:28 PM
Okay so I did it again, the banner thing with the same video and IT WORKED! It monetized! But my buttons for the 3 original videos are still gone, poof, just like that vanished! So ill do the banner thing again for them videos and see what happens!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? iTopReviews 2/15/12 4:31 PM
The reason why the monetization buttons are disappearing is probably because they are working on it right now... I'm not sure but I'm just guessing...Hopefully it will be fixed really soon.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? premiermoto 2/15/12 4:34 PM
Everyone has lost the monetization button. I lost mine and I believe they are fixing this.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? twanglezzz 2/15/12 4:51 PM
My newest video has been monetized from the first upload (few days ago) with no problems, except it stopped showing ad's today even though the monetize button is still green and activated.

But i've been trying to monetize my other video with 900k views for a few days now too but a little after i fill out the form to get it reviewed the button turns white again... I checked the video manager page and now the monetize option for that video is completely gone. I'm sure the team is trying to fix everything right now but i wanted to let everyone know that i'm having these problems too.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Jakeznaty3 2/15/12 4:52 PM
It's possible that they are fixing it right now but what a youtube or google employee said was that to fill out the youtube partner support for revenue share claim and whenever there is no monetization button i would submit that form and 4-6 days later i would get a response from youtube either saying its monetized or not enough information and i dont know which situation were in maybe they want us to fill out the form or just wait for them to fix it.
My videos all of them that werent monitized lost the monetization button and i want to add that text banner but i dont see where to add it are you talking about an annotation or where do i go can someone reply so i can see if it works im losing atleast 15 dollars a day without having my videos monetized
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheSuperMotoHooligan 2/15/12 4:56 PM
I'm having big issues. Now NONE of my monetized videos are showing ads. Videos that were uploaded and monitized well before these recent problems have no ads showing but the monetize button is green. Please fix this google.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Jakeznaty3 2/15/12 5:18 PM
ok i tried that by adding the text banner and still shows no button on the side of the video for monetization
MIKE PLEASE REPLY WITH AN UPDATE!!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Crank Hardley Jr. 2/15/12 5:22 PM
I've just lost my profile picture & apparently about 80 or so subscribers in the last hour or so ! lol  .. I hope that will all be back to normal soon. .. Monetization buttons gone on the vids that I was trying to submit but ads are showing  & $ buttons still on the vids that were already monetized. .. Good to know it's being worked on though.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? premiermoto 2/15/12 5:57 PM
Just realized I can't even like comments anymore either. Youtube must be having server problems. Monetization, liking, subscribing problems, and analytics updating problems.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Midian777 2/15/12 6:03 PM
I dont get rejection letters and after I reported it as a bug at the bottom of our YouTube pages, a banner appeared stating congratulations, you account has been enabled for monetization or whatever it says... Now I don't even have a grey not monetized button to try and submit the video.

This page now that the issue has persisted for several weeks. at least for me it has. But I didn't have that banner pre reporting the issue, and now it seems like though I cant confirm cause I have no buttons... that I have no monetization options at all unless I am doing the initial upload. YTmike, could you give us a status update at least?

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? genericHenle 2/15/12 7:30 PM
So for about two days I have been able to monetize videos that I upload, but not previous ones. I thought "Oh okay, I only lost a few bucks... No big deal". Now after I went to see a movie, i decided to upload a new video and came home to see that the monetization tab is gone for all my recent nonmonetized videos. So... Thats great....

Same thing is happening here, any video that I tried to submit and was sent back to "not monetized" now has its grey button missing.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? SRFGaming 2/15/12 9:19 PM
2 videos were accepted and 2 rejected with no email sent telling me they were rejected and requesting more info.
Is it possible they were just ticked off that they were submitted several times and got annoyed?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dakotalapse 2/15/12 9:32 PM
In additon to the monetize button dissapearing. The video that I uploaded Monday still says no statistics available, with over 6000 views?   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1hDUIyRnl4
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? ghostbuster 2/15/12 10:41 PM
When is this issue being fixed? I notice that some of the videos I have uploaded, don't even have the Monetize button in the Video Manager section, but some do. That needs fixing as well.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? marinatexno 2/15/12 11:43 PM

2/09/2012 I got a letter from YouTube team: “Congratulations, you can now earn money from your YouTube videos!” I tried to do that. I sent for monetizing all my 210 videos. Result  - 74 videos I could not monetize ( 2/14/2012) . All my videos are eligible. I did not receive any letter from YouTube with explanation why I cannot monetize these 74 videos. YouTube monetized five my new videos which I created after 2/09/2012. Today 2/15/2011 at  20 PM - 55 my video manager monetization buttons have disappeared... My account is in good standing.  My channel -  http://www.youtube.com/user/marinatexno

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? JudeMaris 2/16/12 12:45 AM
Monetization button also missing from the video I uploaded on the 11th of February which is apparently the date this revenue sharing problem seemed to really kick off. *sigh* Not only is our revenue being compromised, so is Google's ability to advertise, so it's bad for everybody right now.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? DefiniteAquascapeTV 2/16/12 12:58 AM
Same thing with one of my video - for a couple of days I tried to resubmit it several time for monetization, the green button "Under review" turned back to grey, but today the button disappeared at all! And I can't even try to monetize the video, although I keep all things with copyrights OK. Hopefully it will be fixed soon, it's frustrating, and I don't know if I should upload my other videos, if the monetization will not be restored soon... :(
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheGlobalMania 2/16/12 1:54 AM
Im Having The Same Problem.
Uploaded 4 videos yesterday....Only 3 got monitized, On the 4th video the monitization button dissapeard, THEN...I check my weekly subscriber count on the Youtube analytics and it says ''On 2/9/2012, we deleted subscriptions from all inactive YouTube accounts. If any of your subscriptions were removed in this process, they are attributed to the Geography ''
And so they removed about 60 of my subscribers in one day. And its impossible for them to be inactive...i only started uploading videos a few months ago :-/

Strange...
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Mckadow 2/16/12 3:24 AM

And another day without these functions working... what i wonder most about is why these "bugs" are not listed on youtube and why we dont get an update. It is like with every day it is getting worse. As all of you too i dont even have a button to monetize now -.-
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TrueShawnBW 2/16/12 5:36 AM
I saw that the button had disappeared, but ran it through a little logic in my brain for a few seconds, and it makes sense that they removed it.

People were probably flooding the monetization process after it turned out to be glitched, and it was probably slowing down progress to a fix.  So if that's true, have no worries, and it should hopefully return soon.  Monetization is still active, it just doesn't show the button when it fails to work properly.  When you upload a video, you still have the option to monetize, so long as your account is still in good standing.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? fli5star 2/16/12 5:43 AM
@TrueShawnBW have you tired uploading a video and it worked
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? effekt 2/16/12 5:55 AM
I can confirm that after the video manager outage (that only lasted for a minute), monetization came back working just fine. Videos that I had "spammed" (trying to monetize multiple times) now do have no button for monetization anymore, which pretty clearly is an automated reject/disable. Bet they'll get those back too ASAP.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? iDeviceJailbreak1 2/16/12 6:11 AM
I attempted  about 6/7 videos today and those were successfully monetized. Now I submitted 2 videos for monetization and after a few minutes, the button disappears completely.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? intelwalk 2/16/12 7:53 AM

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? rachelectric 2/16/12 7:56 AM
I'm having the same problem! Last night, I tried uploading a video and when the monetize button kept turning gray, I thought it was something about my video being rejected. I tried re-uploading the video and everything, to no avail. Now the monetize button has completely disappeared on that video, and there's no option to monetize. This is so aggravating.. please fix it, YouTube!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheNintendoMan27 2/16/12 7:57 AM
rachelelectric - Yep, exactly the same situation! Its so annoying! Earnings on adsense have already dropped substantially!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheGlobalMania 2/16/12 7:59 AM
Hey Guys,

When you go on analytics and go on your subcribers list...does anyone else have a orange triangle saying ''''On 2/9/2012, we deleted subscriptions from all inactive YouTube accounts. If any of your subscriptions were removed in this process, they are attributed to the Geography ''

Because 60 Subscirbers got removed from my channel in one day, So is that another bug? Because i only started uploading videos a few months ago...So i cant see how the accounts who subbed me can be inactive :-/
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheNintendoMan27 2/16/12 8:32 AM
I have that, but fortunately I only had 1 or 2 subs removed. We just need a update from Mike about this situation!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dakotalapse 2/16/12 8:36 AM
I hope the solution isn't to re upload the video. Mine has already been embedded on a bunch of web sites.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? QuattroStig 2/16/12 9:44 AM
Re-uploading does not solve the problem. Like others here my button has now disappeared completely.Previously it would only return to a grey button, not the case anymore.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheShinjikun01 2/16/12 10:16 AM
I dunno if it's because they are working on it or not but now i cannot even use my video manager... not available, please try again later. And i can only login with my google email, not with my youtube name. And i cannot se my "profile pic" on my channel .. o.O wow. Soon my whole account is broken lol whats happening?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? thugzthrust 2/16/12 10:31 AM
my button for motizisation has also dissapeared. This has only happened on video's where i had previously monitized, and the YT unmonitized straight away - the problem we were having a few days back. Bug after bug after bug.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? PinYoProductions 2/16/12 10:48 AM
Hi Y'alls!

We are also experiencing the same issue this morning when checking on the Video Manager page. The Monetize button was still there yesterday and we re-applied for Monetization. And whenever we refresh the page after clicking the Monetization button yesterday, the light green mark on the Monetize button (under review status) goes back to like it's never been clicked on before!

And when we go into the Video Manager again today, the Monetize button next to the video disappeared while our other videos are still monetized with the buttons showing! What the heck is going on? Is anyone else experiencing this same issue as us?

Youtube, please get this corrected for us as soon as possible so we won't be losing out on Precious new view counts to get monetized!

Thank you,
PinYoProductions

For anyone who hasn't noticed it: they've been updating the video manager a lot today. It's currently down for (at least) the third or fourth time. So I assume they're deploying fixes right now and you can probably expect an update from YTmike later today.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? roboticpink 2/16/12 11:17 AM
I'm just posting so I can get an email when YTMike comes back... HI! :D
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheNintendoMan27 2/16/12 11:52 AM
Just as an extra thing, when I tried to log onto my adense account today I got the error message:

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are unable to process your request at this time. Our engineers have been notified of this problem and will work to resolve it.

So there is possibly a link between adsense and youtube which has failed? Has anyone else had this error message?

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Spawner 2/16/12 12:22 PM
Yeah what if the monetization tab disappears COMPLETELY.

Will it reappear? Cause the content I own and want to monetize is all mine.

Well I hope we're going to get a fiz for the crazy subscribers loss thing & profile pic missing bug right now too. .. Looks like the profile pics are gone on all the old layouts. .. I was going to switch to the new one one today, but a little uncertain whether to make ANY changes since it appears YouTube is "Up on Blocks" right now. lol .. I think waiting is prudent at the moment.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheGlobalMania 2/16/12 2:23 PM
Yeah i hope theres a better explanation for the Sub loss too, I wonder why there isnt a youtube news page stateing bugs and when they will be fixed?

And it seems strange how theres been lots of bugs lately.

On a positive note.... I got this email for the video that the monitization button vanished from  ''Hi,

Thank you for confirming that you own the rights to use all video material
commercially. Your video has been approved for monetisation.''

So it seems theres going to be LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL!

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? EricPreslik 2/16/12 2:56 PM
Guys the sub loss is due to the removing of inactive youtube accounts.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Lukeyy19 2/16/12 3:05 PM
I'm having the same problem now too, Monetize button has now disappeared on the two videos i tried to monetized last week when the bug started for me...
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Crank Hardley Jr. 2/16/12 3:24 PM
@EricPreslik  I have 2 different Sub numbers showing now. .. The public one is now minus 84 subs. .. The one I see when logged in (With subscribers pics) shows the correct number I think. .. Yes, I lost 60-ish in the cleanup of inactive accounts on 2/9/12, but this is something different & related to the work being done I think. ...Hope so anyway!

@fli5star

Sorry about the delayed response.

Yes.  Out of 7 videos I've uploaded since the problem began for me 7 days ago (counting today - 1 video per day), 1 of the videos went through properly.  I believe it's a random chance that it works properly.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheShinjikun01 2/16/12 4:21 PM
We need more than a random chance. I dont understand why this problem does so long to get fixed. I mean it's about money here. More and more income lost with every day waiting for these bugs to get fixed.

Same prob here...have tried monetizing 5 vids over the last 3 days but the tab stays green for a minute then disappears. Also on sunday 2 vids would not monetize because youtube says it contained 3rd party content...which is incorrect. All of my vids were of me playing my own music on the keyboard....wish they would get this fixed!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? twanglezzz 2/16/12 9:21 PM
WTF I just got an email saying my revenue has been disabled for monetizing.
I had successfully been approved for my other video a few days ago, so then I tried to monetize my older one with 900k views and that's when everything started going wrong with YouTube.

Here's the email:
"Thanks for submitting your videos for monetization. We have disabled monetization on the following videos because we were not able to verify that you have the appropriate commercial use rights for all included content"
Then it listed my video.

I'm pretty sure this is an error on YouTube's part, because I filled out everything correctly and it's just like my other video which was monetized.
Well...... This is fun
We need updates!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Zips 2/16/12 9:26 PM
@twanglezzz I just received that as well for three of the four videos I uploaded.  These were no different from others I uploaded in the past without issue and while I do have appropriate documentation from the company that developed the game featured in the video previews, I'm simply not going to bother disputing it.  It's not worth my time or effort with Youtube in the current state that it's in.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? QuattroStig 2/16/12 9:26 PM
@ twanglezzz I had the same error. I have filled it out the same as every other video but,

[Thanks for submitting your videos for monetization. We have disabled monetization on the following videos because we were not able to verify that you have the appropriate commercial use rights for all included content:

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? 606media 2/16/12 9:32 PM
I received that email as well.
One of the videos had been deleted and not even submitted for revenue sharing, while the other still has ads on it and is showing as "monetized"

Def seems like a glitch on Youtubes end.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? xIgNoTiSNuMeNx 2/16/12 9:33 PM
I just received a list of EIGHT videos that have been disabled for motization and I have every filled out correctly and all the rights to the content, it also says to 'click on the links above to show rights' but it only links to the video and not to any form of submission.

What is going on YT?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? 606media 2/16/12 9:37 PM
Just checking it seems that all my newer videos are monetizing fine, while those uploaded during the time period from around the 1st of the month till the 8th seem to be stuck in glitch hell.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? EricPreslik 2/16/12 9:47 PM
Just got my first rejection letter from youtube... I've never had to do that before...
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? JudeMaris 2/16/12 9:57 PM
Well, this is the limit. I had created an original painted portrait in Photoshop, scored the video with music that I had composed (and published on iTunes), and the YT-Bots tell me after disabling monetization that "we were not able to verify that you have the appropriate commercial use rights for all included content". How can original content be made any more clear?!? Some of us have more than one vocation, and decide to combine talents in the same video. Are we being told that creating "too much" of the content in the video is now suspect and punishable? This problem isn't covered in the Terms of Use section.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? somerockenguy 2/16/12 10:15 PM
I too just got an email saying my video on my second channel was rejected. I'm going to hold off uploading now because this is horrible. this needs to be fixed soon or we need to at least be updated letting us know. youtube know of the problem. so many people are loosing so much money.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? SupersonicTelevizion 2/16/12 10:39 PM
I have this problem too, they jast sand me an email with some title that I have all the rights, i have the contract with the singer and published on iTunes also. The YT-Bots tell me after disabling monetization that "We have disabled monetization on the following videos because we were not able to verify that you have the appropriate commercial use rights for all included content...". This is a very dangerous problem for YT because they damage my company to take the monetization of the products that we have all the rights to publish them and to use in commercial way. We are losing very much many. This is the limit.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? synthartist69 2/16/12 10:47 PM
I got the email too that I need to show proof that I own the rights, which I always do that correctly. I was losing the monetize tab shortly after clicking monetize but tonight I am no longer losing it, but my videos are stuck in review.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? kosta17 2/16/12 11:35 PM
k so now they email me saying i need to show proof that i own the content WOW. the bots really fucked up hard on this one but atleast i can FUCKING MONETIZe my dam VIDs now but now i need to go through an even longer process ov monetizing my 2 vids fuck you very much youtube
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/16/12 11:46 PM
Same for me. Music in the video is CC BY 3.0 licenced and I attribute. The rest is my own work and other videos were monetized under the same conditions. Anyhow they say that they cannot find out whether I own all rights. What am I considered to do now?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/17/12 12:15 AM
I found out that you can not re-submit a video for monetization if you are not a full partner (just being able to monetize is not sufficient). Thus I deleted and re-uploaded my video. I set all monetization options (with a more detailed description of my rights) during upload. So far the "under review" symbol does not disappear (which I take as good sign). I will report whether monetization will be accomplished.

I got the letters too.  I wrote my music what am I supposed to do wait 10 months for the copyright office for every single song I want to do in every video?  Come on.  Does anyone else know a good site I might be able to market my music videos to?  I would love to respond by wholesale deleting hours of content and opening an account on a competitors website - one who won't harass me.  I'm guessing most people on this list make really good stuff that makes people wonder if it's really ours to use.  Either that or moles in youtube are trying act as song sharks for the record execs to see who doesn't have proper documentation.  I was so pissed I can't sleep.  I work my ass of for 10 cents an hour and this is how I get treated?  Just look at the videos not with a robot - it's me in the video, it's my voice, sounds like the style of song I do.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 2/17/12 12:35 AM
Youtube is forgetting who made youtube great - the people making video content.  No one comes to be impressed by hardrive size - they come for the entertainment.  I see a giant opportunity for competitors right now.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Zips 2/17/12 12:49 AM
A video I uploaded earlier tonight was approved for monetization probably 20-30 minutes after it was uploaded.  A video I uploaded two days ago is still awaiting approval and is under review still.  And the other three I uploaded two days ago were outright rejected with the email sent out that we've all been getting.

It's kind of all over the place still.  I don't feel like re-uploading that video from two days ago on my horrible upload bandwidth and when I already re-upped it once before due to this limbo status.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dylloop 2/17/12 12:59 AM
Sorry for any language but this is complete bullshit I got an email saying that I can't monetize my video because they cannot verify the rights and it shows a video tutorial on how to wright the claim agreement properly well the funny thing is I was playing minecraft with commentary and in the video she writes a claim for minecraft. I have exactly what she wrote in her claim and it still got rejected If I dont get my money Im not going to be able to pay rent this is my job here and Im making a living off of it and now they are taking that away from me.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? aTroubledArtist 2/17/12 1:09 AM
@ dylloop ,
I have exactly the same problem as you. I also do MC commentary, and got the same email for my vids, even tho Mojang clearly states that we have rights to do what we want with the game footage. This is the disclaimer I am currently using for my Minecraft videos :

I HAVE PERMISSION TO USE THIS COMPUTER GAME FOOTAGE AS STATED IN MOJANG'S TERMS OF USE AS STATED AT http://www.minecraft.net/terms . I QUOTE, "You're free to do whatever you want with screenshots and videos of the game". I also provide additional instructional and educational content on top of the video through voice-over commentary, which does not contain any copyrighted lyrics or material.
IF YOU DO NOT 'MONETISE' THIS VIDEO, THEN I WILL BE PRESSING LEGAL ACTION TO SUE YOUTUBE/GOOGLE FOR EXPENSES LOST AND DISTRESS CAUSED AS A DIRECT RESULT OF THIS IMCOMPETENCE.

I suggest that anybody losing money and experiencing stress as a result of this, write directly to Youtube to notify them that you will press charges if this continues. Their address is

YouTube, LLC
901 Cherry Ave.
San Bruno, CA 94066
USA

We can't go on like this. Youtube fix your shit or pay the price. It's simply unnaceptable that you say you are 'working on the problem' and then leave us in the dark for further days on end, while we tear our hair out worrying about where the next meal is going to come from.

regards.

a VERY troubled artist..
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dylloop 2/17/12 1:19 AM
@ aTroubledArtist this sums it up nicely the current one that I am using and have always used is this :
this is a video of me playing Minecraft with voice over commentary in the Terms of Use it says "You're free to do whatever you want with screenshots and videos of the game"  you can read it here: http://www.minecraft.net/terms"
this has always worked and now some of my videos are monetizing while others OF THE SAME MATERIAL just a different episode and with the same disclaimer are not monetizing this has caused me a loss of about $200 in the last 3 days alone but this has been going on for a little over a week now. When and if this ever gets fixed I want my money.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Crank Hardley Jr. 2/17/12 1:23 AM
I got the same e-mail. ... I wonder if it's to do with the monetize buttons not working in Video Manager & they want us to resubmit it using the link in the e-mail. .. Just a thought cuz it seems that everyone' getting that same e-mail, like it's an automated fix type of thing. .. Think I supplied more than enough proof with it. .. Could be the submission standards have gotten much tougher now too along with the other changes though. .. Hmmm, .. Guess I'll wait a bit longer & hope for an update here .

@ dylloop sorry to hear that. I will support you, sounds like you're doing OK - I'm just starting out but feel I can go far ;) Where's your channel so I can sub? :) And try not to worry, if anything youtube will be having to react to a stern legal letter from me at the very least, maybe then they will jump into action. Some ppl use Adsense for fun and some ppl already live from the income of Adsense and all youtube is doing is to say "they are working on it"? There is no update now for days, the bugs are not even listed, instead it becomes more and more strange. Just like you i got also emails that they didnt accept my videos even though i own all rights. How are the robots who sent us the emails going to be able to verify our rights?  Here's a tip - hire some humans to actually have better customer service than AT&T.  I know that's high bar, but I think you can do it if your try considering you have more money than most small countries.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TrueShawnBW 2/17/12 7:16 AM
Honestly...
I don't know why I'm surprised.  Another problem on top of what had already happened.  Maybe you should TEST the stuff you're changing BEFORE actually changing it!  Suddenly my information for a monetization request is no longer valid, despite using it on several other videos with the same content?

FIX IT

This is a huge issue that should have NEVER happened.

I've been patient long enough, and I am now annoyed by the situation.  Get it done!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? DefiniteAquascapeTV 2/17/12 8:39 AM
Hi again guys,

To all of you who wrote previously about having some compensation from Google, or thinking about suing Google into court - did you guys read the Terms of Service which we all agreed to, just because we are using Google's Services? Let me quote two paragraphs:

4.2 Google is constantly innovating in order to provide the best possible experience for its users. You acknowledge and agree that the form and nature of the Services which Google provides may change from time to time without prior notice to you.

4.3 As part of this continuing innovation, you acknowledge and agree that Google may stop (permanently or temporarily) providing the Services (or any features within the Services) to you or to users generally at Google’s sole discretion, without prior notice to you. You may stop using the Services at any time. You do not need to specifically inform Google when you stop using the Services.

Well, I'm not a native English speaker, so correct me if I'm wrong - but to me it looks like they can even shut down the whole AdSense thing, anytime, and we can't do anything about it, simply because we agreed to use the Services on such Terms :) If we don't like it - we can stop using it, but Google is not obliged to provide us with any form of compensation...

If there are other paragraphs, contradicting the above, let me know - I didn't dig too deep :) Maybe YT full-partners have different Terms... But anyway, making Google somebody's one and only income source wouldn't probably be the smartest thing to do, unless you like living on high adrenaline level ;)

Cheers, guys, and let's hope the whole "not-able-to-monetize" thing will be cleared soon! :)

I had to try and prove that my previous video is mine, I hope that goes through I'm very nervous about that cause I've never done it before. I always had auto approve.

I've also had all the problems described above. I'm able to monetize new videos, but not a random three videos that were picked out for copyright abuse and now have no monetize button.

However, I have a solution to the email problem. The links for 'how to claim rights to a video' and 'submit documentation' don't appear to work ... what you need to do is:

- copy the links and paste them into your browser
- delete the 'x-msg://' from the beginning, so that it just starts 'support.google.com'
- click refresh

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 2/17/12 12:58 PM
Asking for documentation shows a lack of understanding about how copyright works from youtube's side.  You don't need to file PA forms and similar for your work to be copyrighted.  It's copyrighted at the moment of creation and you need to be able to show you had it first and present the copyright notification during it's use.  Doing the paperwork also helps solidify this.  Maybe youtube doesn't understand this??  So for the class of folks saving to skydrives and mailing to themselves as proof your material is still under copyright.  File the forms is good practice however and looks good in court.

I suggest you yank all your content from youtube and upload to the competitors site within your niche.  Here are some lists to give you ideas of how to profit in your genre....

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 2/17/12 1:07 PM
What is hilarious is that youtube upload itself could be used as a form of copyright protection if the work is indeed original because unlike mailing a package to yourself, you can't fake the youtube upload or backdate it etc.  Maybe they should think about using this to their advantage with the record industry.

ok guys i think its pretty near fixed when I upload a video sometimes the ads get put up right away and sometimes it will get stuck on being reviewed. now to fix that just click the being reviewed button then click disable ads and save. then click the button again re enter the info save again and they should be up in a matter of seconds. it worked for me on about 20 videos so good luck
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Progressive Rhythm 2/17/12 6:39 PM
I just got an e-mail about my latest video being disabled for monetization. Unlike many monitized uploaders/partners, I actually do compose completely original work (you know who you are).

I'm not sure why someone who has been abiding by the rules for years (even though it has been an obvious disadvantage) should be punished for actually making quality content.

Watching ray william johnson and others spam, infringe (get banned, then reinstated) and bot themselves to the top hasn't been reassuring.

Losing faith in youtube, quickly.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dakotalapse 2/17/12 6:53 PM
The montetize button is still gone from my video I uploaded 4 days ago that I got an email about. I filled out the form and even emailed the license agreement I have for the music.

I tried a new upload and it was monetized right away. I don't want to have to delete a video with 12k views in 4 days, and embedded on a bunch of websites, just to get the monetize button back. How long does that process take?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? nitro2k01 2/17/12 7:24 PM
I have a video that I submitted a month ago (!) which is still in limbo. Still no ads, still no rejection letter.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 2/17/12 7:50 PM
Oh wow some hacker found a workaround to this and posted it online as a yt video.  How ironic.  You can get monetized instantly as shown on www.youtube.com/user/CustomNoenShirts and click on the eighteenth video and thumb it up and put a comment in.  Sweet, my last video WORKED
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? JudeMaris 2/17/12 8:02 PM
@ProgressiveRhythm It seems to me that YT is constantly renovating these "bots" to develop the smallest margin of error with the maximum of accuracy...sort of like fumigating a house to exterminate bugs. The obvious problem is, a lot of videos that aren't "bugs" get killed as well, but they're just sacrifices for the greater cause...which apparently is to achieve near perfection in protecting copyrighted material in all its reincarnations while weeding out questionable, unidentified, or unverified material: which would be among the percentage of people who create 100% original content.

They have us both ways: if they match our content to something else (wrongly or otherwise), we no longer own the material. If they can't match our content, they tell us that they can't verify that we have all the necessary commercial rights to use that material, which again means that we don't own it.

Some time down the road I see the independent videomaker disappearing on YT and being replaced by the same news stations, recording companies, and production companies that banned them in the first place.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? ShipperWar 2/17/12 8:07 PM
This is so ridiculous! I got revenue sharing removed on 3 of my videos which has nothing that doesn't fall under fairuse. As someone already stated, how can someone like RWJ take others people's videos and showcase them in his videos without getting a strike, yet me, a smaller youtuber gets revenue sharing removed for BS reasons!?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Progressive Rhythm 2/17/12 8:21 PM
@JudeMaris I completely agree. It's like an incoming tide. I think we are about to get washed away. I'm fairly certain I would be denied contentID for unknown reasons. 'You don't have enough subscribers, so we don't care'.

Honestly, when the 'promoted' video thing started, I began to worry.

I guess I could jump around like an over-medicated child and try to be annoying as possible. Or, pay someone to slap my name on one of the worst songs ever created. If you do that, you can become a partner even if you're under 18....

I know, let's go watch Superbowl commercials on youtube!

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Alex.A 2/17/12 8:26 PM
Just a random question guys, on my other account my monetisation tab is disabled anyway of getting that fixed?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Progressive Rhythm 2/17/12 8:34 PM
Oh, I forgot. I know exactly why I would be denied contentID: I don't use ISRC codes and allow people to download and use my music for free.

RIAA can't have that. Oh no. Somehow it would be my fault that Justin Briber only made x amount of millions.

@ShipperWar : Not only does he infringe constantly, he's had is account closed before. Somehow one of the worst offenders is one of the very few that managed to get their account reinstated... I bet he's not having any monetization issues for "inexplicable reasons".

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheShinjikun01 2/18/12 4:07 AM
The buttons dont disappear anymore but now my videos are stuck again under review. I wonder why YTMike or anyone else give us an update on this. If people wont post their mails they got from youtube we wouldnt even know that they are working on it and somehow i still doubt that they will fix it soon.

Im still getting letters about lack of verification of my own material then they remove the tabs. One final vid stuck in review. Its been 6 days since i have been able to monetize a vid. Nitemare youtube!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? systemfade 2/18/12 7:28 AM
I'm dealing with the same problems as everyone else. A status update from YT would be great. I uploaded my original music via multiple videos and 2 out of 12 were approved ... got a rejection letter for the other 10 so I pulled the other 10 videos. All the content in the videos is owned by me - both music and artwork - so I don't really understand what the deal is. Re-uploaded one of them and now the status button/tab finally sticks but it has been under review for quite a few hours now. I really hope that they fix this soon, or at the very least give us an update on what's going on.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheGlobalMania 2/18/12 7:45 AM
Hey Guys,

I sent them another email asking when it will be fixed so i know when i can start uploading again,

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheSuperMotoHooligan 2/18/12 8:15 AM
I've uploaded 2 videos this past week. They are just straight up video of me riding my mountain bike. No music or other issues that could slow down the monetization process. They are both STILL under review. Fix this youtube/google.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheShinjikun01 2/18/12 9:56 AM
"The waiting is the hardest part" - oh yeah, at least if i would know that youtube is doing anything i could wait but they dont even need to update us. It seems like it is still a small percentage who has problems with those things otherwise they would do something. I dont believe that a company like google/youtube needs more than a week to fix a bug like that if they want to.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dylloop 2/18/12 12:22 PM
guys your videos that are stuck on review just click the button check DO NOT MONETIZE and then save. now click the button again and fill in your info and it should be monetized in about 30 seconds. This has worked on all of my videos.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheShinjikun01 2/18/12 12:27 PM
it was working for u but not for me. The whole thing isnt working as it should and youtube doesnt care. I mean why dont we get an update here?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Zips 2/18/12 12:42 PM
dylloop: Yeah, that doesn't work.  The video that was under review for me had the monetization button up and disappear completely after I tried your suggestion.  So now it's no longer under review and I'm now screwed on it being monetized period.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? EricPreslik 2/18/12 3:02 PM
This sorta seem to be working, My main channel has ads on the newest video, now if I could only get some help for my cooking channel (TheVeggieNerd) I'm getting no ads at all even though all my videos say "Monetized"
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheShinjikun01 2/18/12 3:45 PM

Hi all,
so i got the email for my video being disabled from monetize for the video that could not be monetized for this problem so i want to claim rights and this is my first time doing this so i dont want to get it wrong,
What do i have to right in the additional information box?
im a nail guru and i have no music in all of my video this is just the bug that was going on in youtube monetize so how can i fill that part?
And im not a fully partner.
Thanks
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? banshee8989 2/18/12 4:37 PM

I have done some experimentation and have found that any video that has any kind of music gets flagged and has to be reviewed for monetization. My guess is this also holds true for video game footage.

Unless your bigtime it could be weeks for your video to be reviewed.

I blame the people who have blatantly been bending the rules and getting away with it.  We have all seen them.

Fortunately for me my videos are fine without any kind of background music.... but I feel for you honest people who need it.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TrueShawnBW 2/18/12 5:03 PM
The extreme lack of help or employee answers is getting pathetic.

I still have 6 videos with missing monetization buttons, there was never any explanation given about the emails sent out to people, and I still have 1 video stuck on under review.

The video I uploaded today went through the monetization process just fine, just like it did before this problem ever occured.  I want the other ones fixed, and I want information as to what the current status of the problem is.

Seriously, these are suppose to be help forums, but I see no help being given.  There's no updates to the original post of this thread, and so far, it seems more like a figurehead to try and prevent people from complaining and forcing the problem to get resolved quicker.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Jakeznaty2 2/18/12 9:24 PM
Im having the same problem as everyone else but i also have an additional bigger problem that has occured for every account i created after around February 1st and im very very very annoyed. This is what the options are for me when my video is monetized

http://i41.tinypic.com/xax68.jpg%5B/IMG%5D

IF ANYONE KNOWS WHY IS LIKE THIS PLEASE REPLY AND TELL ME WHY I NEED HELP AND IM NOT MAKING ANY MONEY ON MY VIDEOS EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS MONETIZED IN MY VIDEO MANAGER
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/19/12 12:14 AM
@Jakeznaty2: If your videos are monetized and you are not making money this might be because no one is clicking on the ads.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/19/12 1:25 AM
Now I received and email for two of my videos that monetization was disabled. They claim I have not given copyright information but I have. The link to argue the decission does not work. What am I supposed to do now? Is this a real issue or just occurring because of the current problems?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/19/12 2:59 AM
When I try http://www.youtube.com/about_disputes?video_id=... where I replace the three dots by my videos' ID the dispute dialogue opens. But when I try to get to the dispute form an error message sais that no video with such an ID was blocked due to copyright claims (which is indeed wrong).

Youtube...Zzzzzzzzz !!!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Jakeznaty2 2/19/12 8:50 AM
XXLRay did you know see the picture? it only gives you 1 option for monetization and not 2 theres no option for Enable overlay in-video ads and when i see any other person who has that problem THERE IS NOT ADS ON THE VIDEO and if THERE IS NOT ADS YOU CAN MAKE ANY MONEY and just because nobody is clicking on the ads doesn't mean i dont make money it also comes from video views which i have 10k on few of my views and didn't make anything it happens with ANY account who just started to monetize video around feb. 1st and some people say in forums its a bug and goes away after 2weeks but its been 3weeks for me and doesnt go away and im losing a lot of revenue.
Another weird thing i see is that on anther account i have i received a strike a long time ago did not dispute it and i just uploaded a video to see if i can monetize it and i was able to monetize the video even though i have a strike which is weird since any account with a strike cant monetize anymore videos
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/19/12 8:58 AM
@ Jakeznaty2: Now that you explain the problem in the picture I get the point. I just can say that I have both ads options for my videos that is still under review. My rejected videos do not offer the option to dispute :(

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/19/12 10:46 AM
Dylloop's method did not work for me. I had a video under review for some days, changed the option to not monetize, saved the settings, switched back to monetization and it is still under review.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheGlobalMania 2/19/12 11:35 AM
I still haven't had a reply as of yet, Explaining when my monitization button will be back on one of my videos. But i cant imagine it will be long now until they fix it
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Progressive Rhythm 2/19/12 2:03 PM
That's nice. It's reassuring to know that you can't imagine that it will be long.

Considering how long analytics has been broken (although I do see some incorrect new data and last weeks estimation seems roughly correct), I can't imagine how you drew such a conclusion.

At least they removed the cutesy "We're going to try replacing the batteries" message. That really pissed me off, though not as much as their complete disregard of my copyright claim e-mail.

The weirdest part is how we are all experiencing things differently, as though double-standards are being employed: jakeznaty2 can't even fill out the information, the fields don't even exist and some of you have broken links in your copyright claim messages.

I really want to rant for several pages. However, most of what I have to say sounds like it came from a conspiracy theorist, so I will cease and desist (for now).

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Progressive Rhythm 2/19/12 6:41 PM
Yay, analytics is ~correct for the 'last 7 days' timeframe! Also, the message is a little more explanatory.

Good stuff. Please give us details and information in future in favor of silliness.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Crank Hardley Jr. 2/19/12 9:42 PM
LOL .. Was trying to figure out where Feb. 13th had gone in Analytics ,..Then saw the new message. ... Well, maybe we're moving forward on some things anyway. .. Would still be nice to know why 84 subscribers disappeared around the 13th or so. .. Very strange. ... And still would like a straight answer on the monetization fix or new rules if that's the case. . You know, I am more than willing to play by the rules in YouTube. .. I'd just kind of like to know what they are ! ... Just very hard to get a straight answer on LOTS of stuff it seems.  ... Anyway, that's my 2 cents this evening :)

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dylloop 2/19/12 10:27 PM
My monetization has been working for days I assumed they fixed it :( Im sorry guys im not a partner or anything. What I do is when I upload I select claim options and right when its done processing I go to the monetization buttod check do not monetizes, save and then resubmit it has worked every time for me
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? synthartist69 2/19/12 10:33 PM
Some of mine are monetizing now but some are hanging up in review.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Sharmafk 2/20/12 12:52 AM
My monetisation selection is completely random (on my syntheticsiren channel). Some go through fine and others are hung on under review. I'm just gonna keep uploading as normal and set the videos to private that go under review. Fingers crossed this will be sorted out soon. I've noticed a lot of things have been rectified such as missing profile pictures and youtube messages being able to actually send to the correct username so at least we know these things are being dealt with :)
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/20/12 1:00 AM
I just started to add some quality content to my channel. It is a bit disappointing being slowed down by this lack of information. I simply do not know whether I am doing smoething wrong or whether this is a bug.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/20/12 1:25 AM
I just got an email that the video I tried to monetize by the "dylloop method" was rejected. The link to dispute does - of course - not work :(

I simply recorded my screen to show some tricks on a Linux program (GNU licensed). It was a clean installation (nothing in the background), music is CC BY 3.0 licensed and I attribute in the ending credits. I did write this in the copyright information form when applying for monetization. I just don't understand it.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Sharmafk 2/20/12 1:50 AM
I had the same email with links that don't work (are just blue text). I think we're gonna have to do some bullet biting here and accept that some of our videos just might not get monetised. I'd say keep doing what you do and hopefully this will be sorted out soon.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/20/12 3:46 AM
Maybe suing someone from which you like to have money even in the future might not be the best idea. I am not on youtube's side and also annoyed by the situation but maybe if some news portals would report about the circumstances ...

Still broke.  Got a letter asking for proof even when I sent a link that takes you directly to my copyright page in us copyright office website in the monitization request.  So youtube doesn't like unsigned / independent artists anymore?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheShinjikun01 2/20/12 5:34 AM
Seems like they dont.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Mckadow 2/20/12 6:07 AM
Problems changed for the 4th time on my page now its gone from saying its monetised to not having the button appear at all. Makes no sense been a partner for some time now and until all this happened never had a problem. 24 hours....yeah right.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Crank Hardley Jr. 2/20/12 7:11 AM
@Sharmafk

Yes, I was thinking something similar. ... Maybe uploading & leaving set to "Private" is the way to go for now. .. Then see if it will get monetized or even if your particular monetization buttons are working right on that particular vid etc. .. Then U always have the option to just delete & re-up later if this is all in fact a bug. .. I suspect there are multiple things gong on right now. .. That's just an observation though.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Heaven Sent Gaming 2/20/12 9:56 AM
We do let's plays, and we've following this whole issue for about a week now. Been mostly silent about all of these glitches, but this does have us a tad bit concerned.

Did a bot become glitchy? Did they hire someone incompetent to review videos?

Or, is something regulatory going on?

If it is tighter regulations, then this is going to stifle the possible next generation of content creators. It will scare from growing at a safe rate.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? syntheticsiren 2/20/12 11:58 AM
Hmm.. my past 3 videos are all hanging under review. I'm guessing that because of this monetisation blip, the youtube workers are really struggling to catch up with all the old submitting videos and possibly videos that got spam submitted. If anyone finds out any news on the wait time for this please let us know! Hoping it will be sorted out this week so I can start getting my stuff back out there :)
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TrueShawnBW 2/20/12 12:20 PM
Wish this was resolved already.  I'm getting tired of it only being a simple chance that stuff goes through properly, sticks at under review, or has a false email sent claiming that it couldn't be proved, despite the video right before it had the SAME CONTENT and got approved, and the fact that I give a link to the terms of use and quote where it says I am allowed.

Hurry up, Google/YouTube!  It's annoying...
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/20/12 1:26 PM
@TrueShawnBW: I feel sorry for you but I am happy that it seems as if I am not the only one having these problems. I really could not say whether I was doing something wrong by myself until I read the other responses. Yet I am not absolutely sure as the officials still remain silent.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Mckadow 2/20/12 1:43 PM
This so called *glitch* is being done by youtube/google on purpose after complaining this is what i recieved.

Hello,

After reviewing our records, we've determined that your AdSense account
poses a risk of generating invalid activity. Because we have a
responsibility to protect our AdWords advertisers from inflated costs due
to invalid activity, we've found it necessary to disable your AdSense
account. Your outstanding balance and Google's share of the revenue will
both be fully refunded to the affected advertisers.

Please understand that we need to take such steps to maintain the
effectiveness of Google's advertising system, particularly the
advertiser-publisher relationship. We understand the inconvenience that
this may cause you, and we thank you in advance for your understanding and
cooperation.

If you have any questions or concerns about the actions we've taken, how
you can appeal this decision or invalid activity in general, you can find
more information by visiting
http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=57153.

Yours sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

In other words, since we do not upload due to this *glitch* we get our money earned
yet unpaid) stolen after we users work hard to promote our videos. Also no future
advertising abilities. I have no advice i suggest not getting on the google team's
nerves by asking questions.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Michael Zuniga 2/20/12 1:46 PM
Hey guys,

Just to clarify and give an update, your videos are under review and this bug is merely a display issue that makes it appear your request was not saved. Please also remember that review turn around time can vary and you may have missed the email asking for more information or the rejection notice. For more troubleshooting tips and other issues I have seen raised here, please read this article and the pages linked from it:

Thanks for understanding and rest assured you're videos are going under review.

-Miike
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/20/12 1:54 PM
@YTmike: Thanks that you finally answered. I think in the mass of responses you missed that a lot of users indeed (falsely) received the rejection notice. Unfortunately the dispute link in this email DOES NOT WORK! From this I conclude that this is more than just a display bug.

Please note that many of us received such a rejection email although they have permission to commercially use the 3rd party content (or it is even their own) and have stated that during the video upload. THIS IS MORE THAN A DISPLAY ISSUE. Please take your time to check this.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheShinjikun01 2/20/12 2:14 PM
Nice ytmike finally gives an update.. unfortunately it seems like youtube is not even reading this thread. This is for sure not an display issue. As Ray said already, the link doesnt work. Lots of ppl complain that their videos with all rights to their content got rejected even they proofed everything, even all videos before got accepted without a problem. Than the missing monetize button is another problem and that the videos are stucked under review. Of course the time to get reviewed my vary but if we see the mass having those problems this is for sure not only a display issue. i dunno if i should feel happy now because yt gave a short update or not.. i guess no because it makes me feel that youtube is not even close to fix those issues. And since i was starting to grow now with my channel, i had really fun with it and i was excited to work more on it, i really feel sad about how the support of youtube looks like. To be honest.. the whole situation sucks alot.

Hey YTmike, Any idea on when this Display Issue will be fixed?

Thanks

We'll fix the broken URLs in the email template, but remember that as stated in the article I shared, you can submit more documentation for videos here:

Very important note: Always be specific and use this for advice:

Our operations and engineering teams are working to resolve these issues and delays as soon as possible, so thanks for your patience.

Best,

Mike

Hey YTmike,

Does this mean the Green Monetize Button will appear again soon on the video that its missing? Because i cant enable TrueView Without being able to access the monitization details. Also do you know roughly when it will be back?

Thanks
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Progressive Rhythm 2/20/12 4:35 PM
@Mckadow      "...after we users work hard to promote our videos." That's probably what got you in trouble. Although it's quite common, the line between "promotion" and spam is very thin. The YouTube promotion service exists for a reason, even though I don't technically agree with the idea of money promoting content rather than quality.

Anyways, it's nice to have some updates!

The funny thing: my latest video (the one that generated the rejection notice) is still set as Creative Commons. If they did indeed think I was violating copyrights, CC would be distributing the copyrighted content also. I'm starting to agree that this does seem to be a bot bug.

I bet they have been getting tons of e-mail claims, and at least half of them are false or highly questionable. Not surprising it's taking so long, nor that review time can vary.

I would rather miss a little revenue if it means YouTube is a little less full of rubbish.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? EricPreslik 2/20/12 6:45 PM
Hmm, I don't see any information that will help with the problem I am having with my cooking channel (TheVeggieNerd) videos saying "monetized" but no ads are displaying. Are they working on this issue that seems to be effecting a few of us users?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TrueShawnBW 2/20/12 7:18 PM
It took a few days, but 6 videos which I was emailed about being disabled for monetization finally went through and got approved.  Only 3 of them show that they're monetized, but when I check them, they all contain the proper ads.

I have 3 more videos which do not have ads displaying properly, though.  One of the videos is stuck as under review, and has been since the 17th, and I haven't received an email about it.  The video I uploaded yesterday got me an email, which I then went through the process of proving I'm allowed to upload it, much like I did with the other 6 videos I was having problems with which are now working properly, so I'm guessing within a couple days, it'll be approved and have ads.  And the final one was uploaded today, so it's probably too soon to suspect it may be stuck at under review, even though that's what it shows at it, as It probably hasn't been long enough to worry about not receiving an email.

I've double checked all 3 of those videos, and none of them have ads.  I am hopeful about the most recent one, and the one from a couple days ago, but I'm curious why I haven't received an email about the one which has been stuck under review since the 17th.

I am glad this is almost done being resolved, and for the most part, is working properly again.

I do think there may have been some sort of redundancy added to recent changes, though.  In the past, whenever I uploaded videos with the same content I have been, I never had to actually prove I was allowed to upload the videos as extensively as I have been lately.  Usually it was more along the lines of explaining what the terms of use for the game displayed in the video are, then getting approved without a problem.  Now I actually have to give more information after being emailed, even though I've added a URL to the original information to the terms of use for the game to try and bypass the need for an email.

The fact that the URL is being given and ignored is what is bothering the most now that the glitch is nearly resolved.  It makes me think I may have to add a whole section of the terms of use in the monetization information for approval to bypass the wait of email and processing.  I can easily do that since I'm saving myself time by using a macro key on my keyboard to enter the information in faster than humanly possible, then read over it to make sure it's correct, but that would be a little unusual and redundant since it's information within the URL already given.

Either way, I'm hopeful this will be resolved 100% shortly, and I am glad for that, despite how annoyed I became from the mere existence of the problem.

@YTMike: Thank you Mike for confirming the link http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/request.py?hl=en&contact_type=revenue_share whcih I found just before you reappeared. Unfortunately it took me more than a week to find out that such a link exists. Maybe you should make this directly available in the video manager for rejected videos.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? NoAdsOnMyVideosYet 2/21/12 12:25 AM
@YTMike i am having the same issues as @ErickPreslik.

My videos have been shown "Monetized" since mid of Janurary and there have NOT been any ads or any rejection letters. It seems like i am only the one i've seen with this problem. (Besides Erick)

I have a couple FULL YouTube Partner accounts that monetize just fine, but my 6 Monetization accounts have stopped displaying ads. Some who have which never had that problem before and some are new accounts that recently upgraded to a Monetization account.

Basically my question is to YTMike.... What do i do if my videos say there are Monetized but no ads are shown? I've re-submitted a couple and no luck. I've left a couple alone and still no luck. I have over 100 videos uploaded within the last 34 days that are monetized but do NOT display any ads. I received no rejection letters in my e-mail, which i have no reason to since my video managers say they are monetized for over 30 days. I've stopped my uploading for now until this is figured out.

Please help,

thanks!

@NoAdsOn... person

Check your account settings and make sure the ads are actually enabled.  Videos could be monetized and just not display ads so long as the setting is set to disallow them.

So... Chapter 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of my audio book get approved for monetisation but you decline Chapter 6. And then you decline a bunch of royalty free songs that I am singing on. I am feeling disheartened.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 2/21/12 5:03 AM
This is not resolved at all.  I replied to the emails I got and asked what is in question, what kind of info they want from me and additionally sent a link to my 10 albums copyrighted.  They haven't responded or enabled the monetize button.  No ads appear on those videos.  It's not just a display problem as stated by YTMike.  Next in my production queue is comedy about this situation and nice sarcastic song to go with it that I obviously stole from Britney Spears even though it says my name 20 times.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 2/21/12 5:06 AM
Oh, I just read they stole the one dude's money and closed hi ad sense.  Is this because I might actually make my first $100 soon?  If stolen does it go as direct bonus to some CEO?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheShinjikun01 2/21/12 5:10 AM
Non of my videos get monetized -.- this situation sucks so much. I used free to use music, never had problems before. Just uploaded a video without any sound, it got monetized within a few seconds. Fuck it.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 2/21/12 5:33 AM
So much for youtube being a place for indie music.  The big record labels won.  Now they are only a place for cover songs and lining the record companies pockets.  I got excited for a minute, but I guess it's time to pack up and go somewhere else.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/21/12 5:55 AM
@MMCB Best Music: As it is now not even big record labels can put up their music as I understand it. I think something is broken with their copyright checker.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Crank Hardley Jr. 2/21/12 7:45 AM
Well,

First, BIG thanks to @YTmike for taking the time to update us & clarify some things. ... For those still confused I believe this is what's going on to the best of my knowledge & after reading everyone's posts here & testing some things out on my main & other channels etc. ....

1. There WAS a bug with the monetization button ($ symbol) disappearing, or changing back to "Grey" instead of Green when a video was submitted for monetization in Video Mgr. .. It would then appear as if it had not been submitted for review at all. .. I.E. .. The button would not stay Green or even say "Under Review" as is normal now. ... This issue I believe has now been FIXED. .. At least for most.

2. The monetization process is now changed apparently. ... It will no longer ""Auto Approve" any video without a "Content I.D." match. ... Videos now really do go under review & will show the status "Under Review" until either rejected or approved. So if you don't have the proof that YouTube requires now, you will get a rejection notice & opportunity to provide that proof on the linked form in the rejection e-mail. The links in the rejection form were functional for me but haven't been working for some. @YTmike has provided that link here for those that are having this problem.

3. The monetization button DOES disappear completely when your video is rejected now. It may still not show any content I.D. matches etc. .. But when that button is gone completely, It means that it HAS BEEN reviewed & rejected & disabled from monetization. .. So if you see that I suggest you re-check your e-mails to see if you missed the rejection notice.

So these are the new rules it would appear. Anyone who has  100% original content, or has all the rights to the content used and is mistakenly rejected will get an e-mail notice & be able to provide more detailed proof. ... In a nutshell, things are a little different now & we must all either adapt & play by the new rules or take our marbles & go home. ...I suggest not even trying to monetize anything that you truly don't have ALL the rights for. ... Which is the way it has always supposed to have been. .. YouTube is now just enforcing those rules more strictly. ...High quality music & Video game footage seems to be getting singled out & flagged for rejection more than other "Voice only" types of vids.

So probably a good time to really study up on the rules for submission which @YTmike has provided links for here. ... At least that's what I will be doing. .. I have probably made some mistakes on the monetization thing as most of us have since I've just been learning as I go, ...as we all do I think. .. I think YouTube/Google understands this & knows the difference between that and a repetitive infringer.

Anyway, I hope this helps someone. .. There may be still some strange issues for a few channels not covered here. If so, I suggest you submit a Bug Report on whatever page the problem is occurring on. (Bottom of page "Report A Bug") And OR start a new thread here in the forum about the problem...

Good luck to all.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 2/21/12 7:56 AM
So basically because I make original creations I have to jump through a bunch of hoops and am guilty until proven innocent as a form of punishment.  No one can still tell me what the f$## kind of documents they want nor have they responded to the additional queries/documents I submitted.  You really want me to do a PA form for every song every video or what!?  That's also a $20 hit on each video.  That really ruins the creative flow and in some cases time to market as well.  The copyright office can take over 6 months.  I tried to submit extra proof and still have got no response for days.  Basically YT does not have enough humans to properly deal with the new policy and now is effectively dead to independent artists just as I stated previously.  Again the record companies won and YT sold out.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 2/21/12 7:59 AM
Oh and my monetize buttons are still completely vanished not even appearing.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/21/12 8:10 AM
I used the dispute form 24 about hours ago and have no answer yet. As I understand it MMCB Best Music has waited even longer. Why is there no (sufficient) information about the process.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/21/12 8:33 AM
I tried the following description for my newest video:

###################################################################
I used Ubuntu Linux which is GNU licensed as operating system
I used openshot which is GNU licensed for video cut
I used gimp which is GNU licensed to manipulate fotos taken by myself
I used the following songs which are CC BY 3.0 licensed and attribute them in the ending credits:

artist 1 - song 1
...
artist n - song n

The video sequences and fotos are taken by myself as I am the creator of all used texts in the clip.

Thus I conclude all rights to commercially use this video. Please tell me which objections exactly you have if any exist.
###################################################################

Let's see whether that works. If anyone here has a suggestion how I can improve this desciption please let me know.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dakotalapse 2/21/12 8:45 AM
@Crank Hardley Jr. My montetization button dissapeared, I then got an email saying I could dispute it. So I filled it out and attached a signed license agreement. That was 4 days ago and I haven't heard anything yet. The video is 100% done by me and I had the music scored for it, and paid the license fee for it. So that music wasn't heard on youtube, or anywhere until I uploaded it.

Will it take a month for it to be reviewed, a year?

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 2/21/12 10:14 AM
Oh yeah I use a digital 8 track recorder = HARDWARE and also a keyboard with sequencer = HARDWARE.  None of your business in the first place, but there is no license required to use the hardware. I'm sure many people are using stuff like garage band that came with their computers and they don't have any documents they can attach etc.  One more reason this new policy is unrealistic to implement.  Must have been a manager that thought of this idea.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheShinjikun01 2/21/12 10:42 AM
YT is big, they dont need to care anymore for small people. Arrogant, just like zuckerberg.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Crank Hardley Jr. 2/21/12 11:08 AM
@ dakotalapse I wish I could help my friend, but I have no idea how long (or short) the wait may be when you re-submit / dispute the rejection of the vid. ... It's probably just how many they have to go through that particular day, week etc. .. I haven't as yet re-submitted anything. I  feel sure it will get looked at though. .. Wish I could be more help. :)

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? syntheticsiren 2/21/12 1:26 PM
I uploaded a video earlier today of a song. Royalty free with my singing and lyrics. I made a blank video and just put the text lyrics in and it got accepted for revenue share within about 20 minutes. So I decided to risk it and make the vlog of me lip-syncing to the same song. It's now hanging under review. There is no logic as to what goes through and what doesn't. Yet we are told to provide as much information as possible about all the licenses etc. I provided identical information for both text video and vlog video. One goes through, one appears stuck. There's is no logic to this process???
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/21/12 1:38 PM
Wow - all of my previously rejected videos have the under review sign back and one of them has eben be accepted.

WHAT IS THIS? Nothing in my videos has copyrights its free for the public and now youtube is saying I don't have all the rights for the monetize... WHAT? I put every single detail for the monetization. WHATS THE PROBLEM? and the music its free for everyone to share.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? EricPreslik 2/21/12 5:38 PM
Well here's a spot of good news, I got a rejection letter for 3 of my videos, two of witched used creative commons music, and one I created music of my own. I submitted one of my creative commons videos, and the one with music I created for additional proof that I could use them (I left the other creative commons out for now) and both videos JUST got approved :) I'm happy about that. now if only my issue with my cooking channel (TheVeggieNerd) not displaying ads would be fixed...

My newest video has been rejected: "we were not able to verify that you have the appropriate commercial use rights". It seems as if the license description I showed you before is still not sufficiently detailed. Or is this still due to the bug?

Not sure if this has happened to anyone else but, when i click monetise video, the button goes to under review and then completely disappears over time, has anyone had this problem? And is there a fix or do i have to use that support link thats pasted in this thread?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheShinjikun01 2/22/12 4:52 AM
Man youtube really makes me high blood. I got an email again that they cannot verify that i own all rights to all content. But i already gave them a detailed information about my video, there is nothing more i could do about it.

My video is about World of Warcraft gameplay, i linked the video policy and so far no problem with that. I guess the problem is the music but i gave enough information about the music:

http://beatsroyaltyfree.com/copyright-information/

The music used is from the website: http://BeatsRoyaltyFree.com
The site allows anyone to use their music for free, as long as a link to their homepage (http://BeatsRoyaltyFree.com) is provided in the description (which I have done).
Info:
Artist: BeatsRoyaltyFree.com
Song Title: (song title here)
Song Download Link: (url of the song/beat/sound effect you used)
Copyright Information: http://beatsroyaltyfree.com/copyright-information/

So wtf does youtube want from me? Everything is written there in the copyright information, there is nothing to verify because it is absolutly clear that i am allowed to use the music even for commercial. How does this review crap work? Wow i really fed up to youtube.... you give them all the information needed, you own all rights and they still cannot verify? hahaha yeah..
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? jordan molina 2/22/12 5:05 AM

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? syntheticsiren 2/22/12 6:26 AM
It is silly. How can one video with the SAME music get ACCEPTED, but my 2nd video with the SAME music but myself lip-syncing in the video get REJECTED? Who is reviewing these??? And like TheShunujikun01 says, what more can we do with providing adequate information for the use of royalty free music? I submitted exactly the same information for both said videos and only 1 got through...
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 2/22/12 10:15 AM
I've been waiting quite a few days now.  I provided a link showing that I hold 10 copyrighted albums.  I asked what exactly they want from me.  Still no answer, still no monetize button appears at all in video manager.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Progressive Rhythm 2/22/12 1:29 PM
Yeah, so have I (~6 days).  "Turnaround time varies".  Give it a week or so and perhaps stop uploading until it's fixed.

I also haven't heard anything back from my contentID application submission. Not surprising.

They have other issues going on too. For some reason my latest video stops buffering AND streaming at ~1:30 even if it's not in 1080p. It takes twice as long to handle the last half, then the playback is laggy and out of synch. The original data is perfect, their 'processing' server or cluster screwed up encoding somehow, even though the 'processing' is incredibly slow (what's the problem, are the servers single core Intels?). No, it's not VBR, it's constant.

At least analytics is continuing to looking better.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? NoAdsOnMyVideosYet 2/22/12 3:19 PM
@TrueShawnBW Thanks for your response but i've checked the account settings and ads are enabled.

This obviously has to be a bug on YouTube's part.

All my videos automatically go from under review to monetized within seconds but yet no ads or rejected letters. They are just vlogs of myself.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? ChakaKhanian 2/22/12 3:56 PM
I tried to monetize a video yesterday. The problem is, I was able to submit it, I saw the under review icon, then today, there's no icon at all and I don't have the option of monetization! My video doesn't violate youtube's policy.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? JAFG_flores 2/22/12 5:57 PM
It seems youtube and google don't care anymore about the little people because big ones like =3, smosh, ign, YFM, ect, are not getting rejected, they have ads. And our videos that are free for the public and 100% ours are getting rejected. No matter how much detail and proof we gave them.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/22/12 10:37 PM
Two of my videos were still rejected although I wrote a more detailed information to my dispute. Anyway I at least got an answer that it was the audio content they complained about. Thus I added a link to the general CC BY license ( http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ ) which I think I did not add for these before. Both were accepted. Now I am curious how I will get my last video accepted which I did not dispute yet but for which the license link was in the original 3rd party field during submission.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? viveack 2/22/12 11:42 PM
My video which i recorded was up for so long, the teacher vs student fight video and it was monetized for about a few months now and today i deactivated it and activated for monetization due to the lack of ads.... However now it got rejected!! and i can't even monetize it again or dispute it since the icon is gone.... What do i do? Youtube!??!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? PhyrraNyx 2/23/12 1:40 AM
Hi. So I submitted a video of myself doing a video tutorial. I used no music. It was the same style I've been doing for years. It was approved for monetization. Then a few hours later I received an email that stated:
We have disabled monetization on the following videos because we were not able to verify that you have the appropriate commercial use rights for all included content.

I made the video with Windows Movie Maker, which is free software. I used no music in the video. The images in the video are mine and they're of me.

I don't understand what the issue is. This is the first time this has happened to me.

Maybe you did not notice that there is a way to dispute at http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/request.py?hl=en_US&contact_type=revenue_share&video_id=

(example: http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/request.py?hl=en_US&contact_type=revenue_share&video_id=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3E3_pFJA44)

I got my videos accepted after dispute within three working days.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? jordan molina 2/23/12 2:01 AM
Three working days, it's too late, none of us have received e-mails of refusal before 3 days, over all e-mails were related death, so that we had to find another way to challenge and prove our rights. (Evidence which were already given in the description)
It would be really great if a team member Youtube can enlighten us,
if this problem is still valid, or if it comes to politics Youtube has changed.

Sincerely,
Jordan.

For all who are intereseted this is how I try to dispute the rejection of my latest video (which is nearly the same information as I yet comitted during upload):

#######################################################
Dear Youtube support,

you rejected my video "Videoname" due to 3rd party copyrigth claims.

You find details about GNU livense at http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html

May I suggest a cup of coffee before rejecting an audio book that I WROTE.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/23/12 2:50 AM
@syntheticsiren: As mentioned before I think this is "just" the automatic 3rd party detection not properly working. This will not be able to dinnk a coffee :)
Try to dispute by the link given above. I had success with it for three videos. One is still pending.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? syntheticsiren 2/23/12 2:58 AM
Hey XXLRay, I have disputed several of my videos and am now just waiting. I just feel really low about the whole thing because there doesn't seem to be an acknowledgement of the actual problem - just links to claim. I am trying not to get angry but it is difficult when one thing gets accepted and then the exact same thing gets declined :o/
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Crank Hardley Jr. 2/23/12 7:51 AM
I think resubmitting via the link in rejection notice is the only course of action right now for those still having problems. ... Things have changed on YouTube for sure but it seems like there's quite a bit of buggy things aside from the original bug this thread was started about still happening to several folks. ... All I know is keep trying if you are in the right copyright wise. .. I'm sure stuff is being worked on.

Now i have different issue, although my account is eligible for monetization,i can not choose any movies as there is no "$" symbol :(,It just happened two days ago, before most of my videos were monetized, and now everything is just gone :(
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/23/12 11:10 AM
They just answered my dispute and requested the link to every single song I used in the video. The clip is back under review now after being rejected previously.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? EricPreslik 2/23/12 12:01 PM
I was able to enable two of my videos through e mail. I think this is just the temporary way they're dealing with it while they work on monetization bugs. anyway.

If your content contains royalty free music follow this guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9h3DnQmkA4o&list=UUUZHFZ9jIKrLroW8LcyJEQQ&index=43&feature=plcp

If you created your own music using a audio editing software: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsZKj4K_mVM&list=UUUZHFZ9jIKrLroW8LcyJEQQ&index=41&feature=plcp

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dylloop 2/23/12 12:34 PM
you guys are still having problems? my adsense has been forking for days I thought they fixed it... :(
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? NoAdsOnMyVideosYet 2/23/12 12:41 PM
Adsense isn't the issue. Ads not displaying on our videos is the problem.

Every time i upload a video, it is accepted almost instantly for ads. (it goes from under review to monetized)

But, when i watch my videos, no ads are displayed. I've checked from different computers from friends/family.

I receive no rejection letters (like usual, all original content) and yes, my ads are enabled through my account settings.

Why isn't this working? This started mid January for all my monetization accounts. My fully partnered accounts work fine.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? EricPreslik 2/23/12 12:44 PM
@NoAdsOnMyVideos... yeah I'm having the same issue with my cooking channel. also on my main channel I had a video accepted through the e-mail method but its still missing its button in the video manager. Please if you gain any progress let us know. I'll do the same.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dylloop 2/23/12 1:15 PM
Idk my videos are getting ads on them and I'm earning money again sorry
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? alexbabs12345 2/23/12 10:21 PM
Several of my videos (even those that were previously approved) are stuck in "under review" and have been for several weeks, some more than one month I believe. I'm thinking it has something to do with Video Manager's display as I can't imagine why my videos that were approved would be put back under review... Help? :L
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Zips 2/23/12 10:24 PM
I'm back where I was a week ago.  In the past few days I was able to successfully upload videos and get them monetized quite quickly, within seconds to minutes after uploading.

Now I uploaded a short Minecraft video, with appropriate usage terms including a link to the Minecraft ToU and it's been stuck under review for hours now.

This is NOT a display bug because I loaded the video up in IE and saw no ads.  I had someone else check it and there were no ads for them either.

Just when I believed it was starting to be fixed, it goes right back to the old behavior.  It's very discouraging.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? NoAdsOnMyVideosYet 2/23/12 10:35 PM
I still get approved for ads....but no ads are displayed. =/
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Crank Hardley Jr. 2/24/12 7:19 AM
Gosh,.. Still a cornucopia of problems. .. I'll be trying a new upload soon & will post if anything happens relevant to this thread.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? EricPreslik 2/24/12 8:19 AM
going to upload a new video within an hour, it uses some royalty free music, I'll report if anything goes wrong like CHJ above me. Other then that my cooking channel TheVeggieNerd is still not displaying any ads even though all my videos say "monetized"
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dakotalapse 2/24/12 8:19 AM
I've been waiting for 11 days for my video to be montized. I filled out the dispute form twice and attached the license agreement I have for the music. There were 6 people who ripped my video and uploaded it on their account. I thought it may help my video get approved if I filed a complain on those videos. They were instantly removed saying I claimed a copyright against them.

Why can that happen instantly, yet my video can't get approved for monetization in 11 days!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? syntheticsiren 2/24/12 8:56 AM
I have uploaded about 5 videos in the past few days.
They all contain royalty free music.
I've found that the ones with a blank background and lyrics pasted as I sing get monetized almost instantly.
The ones with any sort of video content ie me singing to webcam, pictures, video game footage etc don't get approved or hang under review (even ones with the same song as used in the blank background videos that do get accepted).

Anyway, got fingers and toes crossed for us all that this gets sorted out soon.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Wipper179 2/24/12 9:23 AM
I'm still having major issues with video monetization these past few days.

I make minecraft content with royalty free music from Kevin Macleod, and i have 60 videos successfully monetized, but the past few days, i submit my videos for revenue sharing with all the correct documentation, and they stay as under review for days, never get accepted, and then after about 3 days, the monetization button will disappear, and i have no emails telling me that it's been rejected, i have no way of disputing this at all.  I upload daily videos and this is really impacting on my revenue.

I hope this gets fixed soon, i just can't monetize anything these past few days, and its getting really irritating!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? taintedlore 2/24/12 9:32 AM
I use Kevin MacLeod's stuff too, he is awesome :D Check out jamendo.com too if you get a chance, some of the stuff over there is insanely good!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? EricPreslik 2/24/12 9:47 AM
Video went under review, witch is no problem as long as its actually under review. for those who are worried about there videos after they've submitted addition information. be patient. and don't submit multiple unless more information is asked of you. it took 5 days for my claim to be reviewed and approved.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? syntheticsiren 2/24/12 11:00 AM
Hmm, I keep getting little adds in the right side of the page above other video suggestions. It kinda looks like just a video but has the word Ad under it. But it keeps vanishing the little bugger. Anyone know what it is?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/24/12 11:04 AM
Just to inform you: My latest video has been accepted after I disputet the reject and gave the download link for each of the used royalty free songs.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? yourjudgeandjury 2/24/12 11:09 AM
So it's Google problem. What is Google going to do now that most of my videos have been disabled from revenue sharing as a result of this huge issue? Are they going to reinstate them for revenue sharing? Is Google going to reimburse me for the daily amount of money I am lossing now?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? synthartist69 2/24/12 11:27 AM
Well, here we go again. My uploaded videos are getting stuck in review again. I had good results this week other than a couple that I had to remove and re-submit to get them to pass review. Now I tried two videos today and they are both stuck.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? ghostbuster 2/24/12 12:39 PM
It's been TWO WEEKS and the Monetize button is still missing from my videos. Even the old videos that I uploaded are still being reviewed.. FIX THIS ISSUE. It shouldn't take two weeks for things to be fixed.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheTimeLapseGuys 2/24/12 1:10 PM
YouTube,

I have written confirmation (attached in my claim) from the Music composer of the Royalty Free music stating that I have permission to use his music in my videos.

So, now, I have provided Artist name, Track Name, Direct Link to track, Direct link to CC License and added permission in the form of written confirmation from the composer (with his contact details). The music composer has subscribed to my channel and follows me on Twitter.

What more do you want?

It's quite sad to see people who work real hard to do everything right, face these kind of issues.

@YTmike , I sincerely ask you to kindly expedite the problem fixing process and please give us regular updates on when this will get fixed.

Kind regards

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? JohnDanzJr 2/24/12 4:43 PM
Thanks a lot again, Google. Way to show us little guys how much you don't give a shit. Enjoy the ads on RWJ and other top whores' videos - we'll just be missing out I guess for not being whores.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Taofledermaus 2/24/12 5:21 PM
I've seen this issue pop up BEFORE the new video manager re-vamping- months ago.   It isn't a new isse that I know of,  just a random bug.

I would spend 10 minutes filling out the form as the video uploaded,  and then the video would show it wasn't monetized.    It didn't happen all the time,   just one out of 10 times or so.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Crank Hardley Jr. 2/24/12 5:47 PM
@taofledermaus  So, This "Random Bug" has been going on for Months ? .. That's not really very comforting. .. Interesting though.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Alex Intchovski 2/24/12 7:27 PM
No ads appearing on my youtube, nothing has been changed, three days of no earnings. I tried to disable and reactive them from my youtube and still nothing. Please help, need to pay for college books.

My account is in good standing. My adsense is still connected and I keep getting referred to pointless emails and forums where no one is responding to my question or trying to help me in any way. If anyone here knows what I can do please let me know. When I go to a video page and try to monetize a video I just posted, to test if uploading a video resolves it, the monetize button just takes me to the video manager.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/25/12 2:50 AM
@ ssf4evo: Have you yet used this form to dispute?: http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/request.py?hl=en_US&contact_type=revenue_share&video_id=YOURVIDEOID

(example: http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/request.py?hl=en_US&contact_type=revenue_share&video_id=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3E3_pFJA44)

It worked for me when I gave direct links to the music I used as well as to the license text.

@Alex Intchovski: As far as I know Youtube/Google does not automatically place advertisement on you video although it is monetized.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? jordan molina 2/25/12 6:00 AM
The buttons do not disappear when a video has approved following consideration, but the buttons disappear after a wrongful désabrobation system on videos potentially approvable. (With evidence / links to authors and their right to operate)
I am one of those people who are problem, I have already contacted support 4 days ago, I await further information if this is problem solving.

Wishing you a good day,

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Alex Intchovski 2/25/12 12:42 PM
Hello everyone,

I am not a major partner but have been one for quite some months now and have constantly made a decent amount of money. As of the last two days there have been $0.00 earnings for both days on my adsense, and I do not see ads on my channel or videos. Occasionally I'll hit a video with ads on the sides. But I'm getting freaked out, no revenue is accumulating. I've never had any actual issues aside from a past infraction of a video being filmed in public and having light music that was hardly noticeable in the background. Other videos recently, my last two, had like 8-9 seconds of music in the opening but because I knew that I used edit to trim that off. I doubt that is the issue to be honest, but I'm kind of stressed out over it. Please let me know who I contact to make the issue become resolved. A direct phone number would be best.
here is a screenshot of my current account and it says it's in good standing and whatnot and i recently managed to hook up my bank account to adsense, but again that's irrelevant. My monetization tab or whatever, is still green and I am still a partner but it seems I can't submit anything for revenue sharing or have ads appear on old videos, some old ads appear on the sides, but when i try to make them video ads it doesn't work anymore. I don't know what's wrong, please help with something other than directing me to the google adsense forum. Experienced users or employees please help.

Please help I need the money to pay for college books and AP classes this year. I don't want to quit youtube but it's made me reconsider abandoning all my friends, contacts, fans, etc. I don't want to adhere to something so ridiculous as that. It's a part of my life now and I really want a youtube/google employee to help me deal with this as soon as possible.

YES I HAVE BEEN AND STILL AM A FULL PARTNER! It just started about five days ago that my ads stopped being placed. AND NO, I have NOT received any emails from google or youtube as to any reason why.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? erkinsley11 2/25/12 9:10 PM
Well guyz I have read through all the replies and suggestions. Made several inquiries myself to no avail. Here is what works best. Remove the video and re upload.  (after waiting the suggested 24 hours) This takes a few minutes. When you upload again make sure you fill out all the monetization stuff in full and be careful to be thorough!!  Save Changes. This worked like a champ for me.

I was able to monetize one of my videos few days back,by providing a written document on a letterhead with my companies seal, stating that this content belongs to me,it got approved in one day, after that my second video got monetized in seconds after processing, and then my third video is again stuck in review,i think youtube is asking for links of the licensing terms of the editing softwares used to produce these video and audio like steinberg nuendo for music and sony vegas for video editing, i have given them the link of terms and condition in the description window of youtube monetization, will update further if this video gets thruu  !!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Alex Intchovski 2/26/12 12:25 PM
@XXLRay I've used forms like that one, if not probably that one as well, I've been emailing and posting on forums and not getting any legitimate help sadly. I've already lost out on 6+ days of revenue because of a bug or whatever it is.

Try to send the video blocking under review with another browser, it is possible that there are errors when sending to some Youtube Browser.

OH NO HE JUST I'I'.  One of America's top song writers got pissed over this and wrote a hilarious sarcastic song about the situation.  It says his name lots of times but he's singing about how it's obviously stolen from Britney Spears.  OMG too funny.  The name is "Youtube Monetize Button Missing Disabled Broke Problem Sucks Stuck Under Review Monetization" weird song title, great song.  Search that or just use the link below.  Apparently it takes customer support long enough that he can conceive a song, record all the parts and even make a video to it.

Just noticed a small ad placement next to a promo video with me singing an original song on my main channel which has 33k+ subs. The video links to the full song on my syntheticsiren channel which got rejected for monetization. How can you place an ad next to my original song promo video on my main channel which is not partner or enabled for monetization, but reject the full song on my monetized sub-channel? o.o

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 2/27/12 12:22 PM
After making waves now I got a reply and was referred to this page

http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1311196

Problems....

What the heck is a direct link to the song and license terms?

Also under the 'if I used an audio and/or visual editing software to create my own material?'
Not all music involves software - there are countless hardware configurations to do the job most notably Roland 808, don't make such sweeping assumptions.

Lastly I have already explained that I am the owner and own all the rights, provided link to my copyright and explained that these songs use hardware recording mechanism.  There was actually music before software - did you know that?  Overall it still seems like robotic span response.

It's like they can't handle the case of someone who actually wrote and recorded their own song.  This is the same company who pushed to attract independent artists.  It's like someone goes out of their way invite you for dinner and then when you show up they punch you in the face and slam the door shut on you.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/27/12 1:03 PM
My previously accepted and then rejcted video was finally accepted after I gave the download link to the royalty free song.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? BennyTroung 2/27/12 1:38 PM
@XXLRay and @ Jordan, thank you for the replies.

So youtube sent me this today:

"Thanks for writing in about the status of your video! To ensure you have all the appropriate documentation to make an appeal, visit: http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1311196."

Why would they send me this?  I've already sent them all the appropriate documentation.  Does this mean my dispute has been denied and I have to submit again?  Maybe I should just delete the video and upload it again?

I'm really confused.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/27/12 1:46 PM
I can just talk for my case where I used royalty free CC BY 3.0 licensed music. I had to give a link to the license text and additionally the download link to the songs I used to get my video accepted. I don't know how to deal with music you have written by yourself.

Some people had success with resubmitting their videos but maby you just get into the same problem again. I suggest to dispute agein and to be as detailed as you can in your license description.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? viveack 2/27/12 3:17 PM
i got that email sent to, does that mean they just started reviewing it? or is it still rejected? I'm confused... my video doesn't even have music ... -_- it's that epic teacher fight video. i don't see how this can be rejected "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNxvM2wSDzA" i posted this via my mobile phone during like grade 11....

ok so they sent me an email finally after about a week saying this

Hi,

Thanks for writing in about the status of your video! To ensure you have all the appropriate documentation to make an appeal, visit: http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1311196.

Please note that if your video is not approved for monetization, it may be removed from YouTube.

Sincerely,

First off thats an invalid link and secondly WTF does this mean are they gonna review it or not? It is just a gaming vid I made http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5i7URH0oByw and IDK 3 of mine are still not monetized and 3 are under review so im confused
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? NoAdsOnMyVideosYet 2/27/12 5:46 PM
I still do not have any ads on my videos... It's been over 40 days.

Are they still "fixing" this or has it been forgotten?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Alex Intchovski 2/27/12 5:59 PM
Exactly my thoughts, I got the same bs copy/pasted email google/YouTube sent out, and I'm a full partner. And it's ALL my ads on ALL my videos have been disabled and I don't even deal with anything infringing any rights, just as other partners dealing with the same topic.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? EricPreslik 2/27/12 8:01 PM
So I got the same e-mail a few of you above got, I don't exactly know what to think of it.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Gtchy1230 2/27/12 9:48 PM
I too got the same email: "Thanks for writing in about the status of your video! To ensure you have all the appropriate documentation to make an appeal, visit: http://support.google.
com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1311196. "

What does this even mean? I already submitted documentation. And that email doesn't even explain the status of my appeal. Was it rejected? Is it pending? It doesn't provide a link for what to do next. It doesn't even tell me the next step of the process!

This whole problem is getting ridiculous. YTmike makes a thread and then abandons us with no further info. The fact that they just leave us hanging like this is utterly asinine and extremely unprofessional. It makes me sad to see the biggest Youtubers get immediate ads when I can't even get an ad on my video after a week.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Gtchy1230 2/27/12 9:57 PM
However, I now realize that it's mainly us, who have submitted appeals/disputes, that aren't receiving ads. In fact, the last 7 or so posters, including me, have all received that same generic, useless email. After reading other users' posts (on page 5, etc), I found that ads are working almost perfectly for them...

I regret ever making an appeal in the first place. I ended up deleting the video that the appeal was for anyway, but apparently the Youtube system is unable to detect that I deleted it. And now we're all stuck here with our videos lingering in monetization limbo. Who knows how long this will go on for...

Any help, @YTmike?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 2/27/12 10:39 PM
I think if the email does not say your video is accepted for ads it is not actively under review. For my videos I had to bring more details to proove that I have all commercial rights. At least I was able to just answer on that email and not forced to use the dispute form again.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? jordan molina 2/28/12 4:23 AM

I received this email from the media: Thanks for writing in about the status of your video! You have to Ensure all Appropriate documentation to make the appeal year, visit:http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1311196.

In short .. I capture much more, I explain and provide documentation proving that I owned the rights to the content (content which I myself am the creator) The drawings I do not fall from heaven, and I am a composer, I own my music, I show more of the invoice software license of composition,

I'm in the incomprehension
A clearer expectations and more fresh news.
Sincerely, Jordan.

I still have a video stuck under review.  It's been like that for 10 days now, and it's a little annoying.  I haven't received an email about it, and there are no ads being displayed on it.

The rest of the videos I've uploaded since have worked fine, though (1 video per day since then).
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? snazzysam 2/28/12 10:14 AM
My videos all say they are monetized and no ads are showing up . Everything in my account is approved. It's been almost two weeks with no revenue. I had to reclick all my buttons for revenue and still nothing. Help! Help! Help!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? syntheticsiren 2/28/12 11:10 AM
@TrueShawnBW Same here. I have a video I refuse to make public (it's been under review for about a week). The 6 other videos with the missing $ button still have no ads after about a week+ and have filed claims for each of them. No response. No idea of what's going on with the situation. No updates. Don't think they're working on this. If they were they would update about it surely.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Gtchy1230 2/28/12 11:24 AM
UPDATE: I tried uploading a test video, just to see if ads would appear on new videos. So, I set the video to private and submitted it for monetization. I checked "No" on all fields, because it had absolutely no copyrighted content. It was just me talking to the camera.

In short, it was accepted for monetization about 15 minutes after upload! So progress is being made. I still have 3 videos without revenue sharing so I might just delete them and reupload them. I just hate to see the comments and thumbs up get deleted with it... so it's a tough decision. Nevertheless, a new video received ads, which is a good thing.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? taintedlore 2/28/12 12:14 PM
If you do delete and reupload the videos stuck under review let us know if they go through because I have already reuploaded one of mine a few days ago without success.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Alex Intchovski 2/28/12 4:13 PM
I tried to upload a test video and no ads after being monetized. None of my old monetized videos have their ads either. What is going on and when will it be solved? Am I not getting ads on those old videos again or what? I'm in debt and need money for college books coming up in the next few months. Please help. Going on 3 weeks and this Monetize issue still isn't properly fixed. This is getting ridiculous. I noticed that it works for YouTube partners, but the people who can only gain some change off Google AdSense, doesn't seem to have things working. Sad...

Videos being reviewed for more than a week still haven't been Monetized, it stays 'Under Review' for the longest....

@XXLRay that doesn't seem to work for me. wish it did, but it doesn't.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? syntheticsiren 2/29/12 10:44 AM
Am re-uploading a video that was stuck under review for a week. Will let you know if it goes through.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Zips 2/29/12 11:12 AM
One video I uploaded SIX days ago (a simple Minecraft video showing off the new snapshot release features) is sitting under review still.  And this was already after re-uploading it after having waited a day+ the first time.

One video I uploaded last night (ten hours ago now), a preview of Really Big Sky, is still sitting under review.

I don't make much off of this monetization as it is.  I don't get the millions of views that partners get.  But what I do manage to get, I appreciate and am thankful for.  But without the videos actually getting approved I'm completely screwed from all fronts.

I'm seriously considering just not making any more videos.  It's not worth the time and effort I put into making them if this is how poorly the situation is going to be handled.

Hi, why aren't all the channels have the option to monetize. I have 3 channels and only 1 was upgraded.

Thankx!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? syntheticsiren 2/29/12 11:55 PM
The video I re-uploaded got stuck under review again so...yeah.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? DefiniteAquascapeTV 3/1/12 2:14 AM
Me newest video is stuck "Under review" for 5 days now... I can't post the link to it on some forums, as I usually do, because I don't want to loose the "first wave of views", which is usually the biggest. Sh*%^t !! :(

I don't mind YouTube is doing some maintenance / upgrading etc. That's OK. What makes me angry is that there is no information from them about it - they send messages like "Analytics is going really slow, but don't worry, we are about to change the batteries" (or sth like that), yet nothing about far bigger issue of not monetizing the videos... If they send a message "For a month or so monetization might not working as it used to work, so consider this in your plans", or "From now on the monetization review will take more time, at least few days, so please be patient", or anything else like this, I wouldn't be so angry. But now I'm sitting and waiting for who knows what? I don't know if the video "Under rewiev" is stuck because of a glitch (un-monetize and re-monetize? and wait another 5 days??), or because it is really queued for review, I have no idea when it will be reviewed if it's in the queue, I don't know if it is reasonable to upload any new videos (and loose another "waves of first views"?), I don't know anything, except the fact that there are more people like me in such a situation (which is a little help ;) ).

I started this small aquarium television of mine some time ago, I don't have much income out of it, and yet I put every effort to make high quality videos with educational value, hoping for some development in the future.

@ Zips:

I agree with you 100%! I was really happy and thankful for the small income I was getting - this was not much, but gave the hope for development, as I could feel that I have some impact on the future of what I do (not much income now -> optimizing my website, making some promotions, uploading more videos, uploading better videos -> having more views and more income, and so on). Now it seems that the efforts are pointless... (obviously, they are probably not, but we are left in the dark to ourselves...). And we can't even do anything to YT, except signing off from their Services...

Grrr...!!!

:)
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? syntheticsiren 3/1/12 5:21 AM
Man, what is going on with this situation? Seriously? Can someone in the know about this just update us as to whether it's being worked on, or is it working as intended? Cheers.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? DefiniteAquascapeTV 3/1/12 6:08 AM
@syntheticsiren I think YT is working on it - for instance, some data on my profile Settings tab have changed overnight, like now there is my "YouTube User ID" number visible (it was not visible yesterday), so something is still going on (and I could also complain about the Channel Views counter, stuck on 8295 for couple of days now - but I wont, since this is a really small issue :) ). YouTube-people, give us some information!! It is so frustrating when all you can do is sit and wait, without knowing if it is worth waiting at all... :/

The good thing about this whole situtation is that I started to breed my aquarium fish again - hopefully this source of income will be more reliable than YT, and it will be my resposibility (impact?) only to keep my business in "good standing"... :)
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TheTimeLapseGuys 3/1/12 6:17 AM
Fixed.

So, I got the same email :

"Hi,

Thanks for writing in about the status of your video! To ensure you have all the appropriate documentation to make an appeal, visit: http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1311196.

Please note that if your video is not approved for monetization, it may be removed from YouTube.

Sincerely,

The YouTube Team"

If you notice in the subject, there is a claim number #96......... So it's specially meant for your case.

After reading the email, like everyone, I too was confused as to if this meant I needed to appeal or something.

For some reason, I decided to reply to that email with my entire claim (Links, attachments, everything).

I then got the exact same email, but this time 'Felipe, The YouTube Team' replied.

I replied to the email with my entire claim again.

I then got a rejection letter from Felipe, stating that I hadn't given enough evidence to show that I have all the rights to commercially use  etc.. which I did.

I replied to that email too, stating that I had provided everything possible including written permission from the Music composer himself etc. What more do you want?

Felipe then sent me confirmation that my claim was approved and ads started showing up on my latest video. The $ sign is still missing but ads are up.

So, I suggest you all reply to those emails with your entire claim.

Hope this helps

I have had some success drinking hard liquor while listening to the hilarious new song by mmcb written specifically about this situation.  It has yielded the same lack of results provided by YT support, yet when I laugh at least the stress is diminished.  The name is "Youtube monetize button missing disabled broke problem sucks stuck under review monetization" or just click the link

great to relieve stress concerning this situation

Any update at all? It's been over a month...

All of my videos are actually being reviewed and approved asap. (like usual)

But..the ads are NOT being shown. Doesn't make any sense, why would they auto approve the ads but not display them?

well i decided to risk it and try and submit my videos for my second channel (Tyl3rKrupa) and all three i submitted to test (out of the 5 i have uploaded) were accepted with in seconds. for me at-least it seems to be working as it should. i never had any problems on my partnered account (somerockenguy) but there was a good 2 week span that i would get stuck in review then get rejected on my un-partnered second account (Tyl3rKrupa) my advice for everyone it just wait as this problem seems to be being (very) slowly fixed.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Zips 3/2/12 12:27 AM
One video yesterday that was uploaded around 2:37AM (EST) was approved for monetization almost instantly after submitting the monetization request after I uploaded the video.

I did the same steps tonight with a new video, uploaded around 2:19AM (EST) and submitted the monetization form after it was uploaded, same as I did with yesterday's video, but this one is now stuck "under review."

There isn't any consistency here.  And yes, the video I uploaded on February 23rd is still "Under Review" and the one from February 29 is also still "Under Review".

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? dakotalapse 3/2/12 7:06 AM
@YTmike I submitted an appeal with paperwork over 2 weeks ago, how long does it take? It's my original video, yet others who re upload my video have ads showing up right away.  I can submit a copyright claim and their video goes away instantly, so Youtube must think I own the copyright on it.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? DefiniteAquascapeTV 3/2/12 7:54 AM
OK, so the issue with "Under review" going back to "Not monetized" seems to be solved! :) Great! And what about the information on how long should one wait for the approval, before re-submitting again? A day? A week? A month, maybe? I mean, if I wait for a week, then "de-monetize" and try to "re-monetize" again - will I loose my place in the queue? Another words - how can I know that long "Under review" time is indeed time needed for reviewing (in which case it would be reasobable to wait patiently, to not loose the place in the queue), and not just a glitch? (in which case one should de-monetize and re-monetize again ASAP :) ).
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Gtchy1230 3/2/12 8:21 AM
That update didn't even address the "under review" issue. Is this just how long the review process takes now? Should we resubmit monetization or will we lose or place in the queue? YTmike didn't even address the most common question in this entire thread :(
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Progressive Rhythm 3/2/12 11:05 AM
Just got the confirmation reply. Everything is back to normal button and ad wise.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Zips 3/2/12 11:36 AM
@YTmike : Unless I'm woefully blind, there was nothing new in your update that addresses the problem 90% of us in here are having and that is the fact that there is no rhyme or reason as to why some of our videos get stuck under review indefinitely while others are accepted for monetization almost immediately.

Again, as mentioned before, I now have at least two that have been "under review" for a while.  One for about half a day now and another since the 29th.  I had one that was over a week under review before I just said "screw this", disabled monetization on it, re-did it using the EXACT same wording as my original claim, and had it accepted within minutes.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? NoAdsOnMyVideosYet 3/2/12 3:12 PM
@YTmike I don't think the issue where ads are not being shown even though they have been approved has been addressed at all. Because they are approved with no rejection letters, how does one go about fixing this problem? Everything was working fine up until mid January so i don't think i am doing anything wrong. Just uploading as usual except now ads are not showing up. I'd really appreciate a response as soon as possible. =/

( and yes, ads are enabled "turned on" through my account settings) All of my monteization channels have this problem. My fully partnered channels are working perfectly.

Youtube has no clue what they are doing and ytmike you are wrong yet again, the video you linked us to says that anyone who playing a video game for long periods will not be allowed for monetization even though thats what machinima is all about?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Zips 3/4/12 8:20 PM
@Alex.A  There are so many Youtube partners that do nothing but play games and all of them have ads in or before their videos without problem.  They're typically of the playthrough variety, showcasing a game or gameplay either a custom campaign (Ex: Custom Minecraft campaigns are all the rage) or gameplay previews.

I do similar things but with videogame reviews/game previews for my website where I'm the Community Manager.  My videos, and many other people like me, at least try to provide some sort of an educational value to the videos.  Showcasing an overview of a game and gameplay while informing viewers of what the game is all about or saying whether or not it's worth picking up.

So there really is no clear cut line on this.  Partners can get away with monetizing videos that have less of an educational value on video game oriented videos while others are stuck in limbo that actually provide some sort of educational or informative purpose.  Maybe I should just make a ton of Minecraft videos and perhaps they'll all be monetized instantly (even though I had one stuck "under review" for more than a week before it finally went through after I resubmitted the request with the same exact wording I used initially).  I still have videos stuck under review for over a week's time now.  No rejection, no approval, just stuck waiting.

I don't think many people in here would have such an issue with it if the approvals/rejections were uniform across all users and not just ones that are full partners.  I personally wouldn't have a problem either if the videos were either approved or rejected instantly instead of being stuck in limbo for days or weeks at a time.  It absolutely kills off the first initial rush of viewers that could potentially see the ads for the few cents it would generate.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Alex.A 3/4/12 8:30 PM
@Zips my videos are exactly what you said, i speak over my videos and tbh my videos cant even be counted as gameplay i just showcase the team of the week on fifa 12 and any music is use is royalty free, its stupid.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 3/5/12 7:19 PM
I just uploaded a video with no music of any kind and it was basically approved instantly.  This is reinforcement of the idea that this is about the record companies - the same people like BMI who come into my friends business and threaten him for listening to the radio as he works in the name of musicians.  I have met two like this who were legalized extortion victims and will never have live music at their business again.  They can even shake change out of google's pockets with all the drug dealing thugs and prostitutes they hire.  Now you owe them a favor youtube.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 3/5/12 7:26 PM
Oh and my video of music I wrote that could not possibly be anyone else because it says my name 10 times in the lyrics is still under review - 8 days now.  Video with no music, approved instantly.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? DefiniteAquascapeTV 3/5/12 10:54 PM
@thegodfazzer How do you know about this "7th March - going into a new format"? Is it really a date when YT is planning to finish all those damn updates...?

As for UR issue - my newest video, now slowly becoming the oldest, is still UR... I disabled the monetization yesterday and enabled it again, but no success. I wrote an email to the Polish division of the YT Help Center, and to my surprise I *did* get an answer. But it didn't explain anything. I asked how long, on the average, one should wait for the Review to be completed, and the answer was "We can't give you the lenght of time needed, because it is changing constantly". I will torment them further, of course :)

People, I think this Bug is connected some with  "System migration complete. Delayed data is processing and will be appearing shortly. Thank you for your continued patience." March, 7th, all accounts, pass automatic (format) to new design.

I have uploaded video from the phone. A transport collapse in Hamburg. Anything interesting - but it mine! There there is no music or other stuff.

http://youtu.be/Wz1YfDeZl_0

Guess what? "UR", 10 hours. Then will regected 100% . And the button $ will be gone!
The problem has begun on March, 1st, 2012.

at first I  thought that it because  I have  Copyrihgt strike with  Russian TV Channel  (20 Sec part of Parody)

However I see that this problem on many other users!!!

Guys, prompt Pls , if in the YouTube account is
Copyright Strikes. but AdSense goog and cleen, no "fu"""ng"  Self Cliks or something.
Google paid seen AD Advertising in this case?

Let's hope that this all of this has to do with the "System migration complete" message at the top of the analytics page. And since all channels are automatically going to be migrated to the new format tomorrow (March 7), then maybe this will be the end of the problem. I'll give this whole issue another week to be fixed. If it's still not fixed after that, then... I'm going to throw a tantrum. Hi guys,

I'm happy to say that my video was successfully reviewed. It took a week, during which nothing happened - the video was UR, and I didn't do anything except waiting. Yesterday I finally decided to de-monetize it, and try to re-monetize again, and today in the morning I saw that the video is enabled for monetization... Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? DefiniteAquascapeTV 3/7/12 10:42 AM
@Gtchy1230 I know what you mean, and I know how you feel - because I felt exactly the same. You are putting a lot of time and effort to create your videos, and you think in an "action-reaction" way (I mean, you feel that your actions have a real impact on your situation, and that there is a direct connection between what you do and what you get). This "stuck UR" issue changed this belief, and all of a sudden a lot of us felt as if the ground (the basis...?) was taken from under our feet. What to hold on to, when you don't have a solid basis? This is the time when frustration knocks on our doors :)

It's somewhat funny for me to observe my own reactions, because when I started this whole "revenue sharing on YouTube" thing, I was rather like "Oh, I don't care much, it's just a few bucks a month, nothing big, and I can very well live without it". But after a month or two of earning those few bucks my attitude changed dramatically, and it showed up that I can get really frustrated by not being able to earn those few bucks because of the "UR issue", and that I would do anything (well, within a common sense ;) ) to have them back :) :)

So I know exactly how it is :)

I think the most important thing in such situations is just to hold on, to pass through it, to not give up, and to stick to the plan (whatever that might be). It's like sailing the boat - there are good days, with good wind from the back, when the boat is rushing forward as if flying - everything is easy then. But there are also bad days, with the wind blowing straight into your face, and all you can do is to try to not loose the whole distance you have already passed, or loose as little as possible. It's not a big deal to sail when the winds are good - anyone can do it. The quality of the captain can be seen only during the bad days - only captains who don't give up no matter what, are able to reach their goal.

No matter how bad you feel, no matter how frustrated you are - just don't give up!! It's not the matter of feelings, it's a matter of a decision, and of holding to it.

I don't know if my next videos will be reviewed sooner or not (in fact, instead of editing another video, I'm sitting here and writing this mumbling ;) ) - but I know that just * few * hours * ago * I * have * received * an * email * from * YouTube, * inviting * me * to * become * a * full * partner ! *

I doubt it's a form of bribery (as I was not the one who threatened to lay himself in front of YT headquaters and start screaming ;) ), and I'm really surprised by this invitation, because I'm getting only about 1000 views per day, I have about 120000 views altogether, and about 650 subs... Not much, but hey - I wont say "no" to this invitation - unless, of course, it is not caused by another glitch in the system ;)
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Crank Hardley Jr. 3/7/12 1:34 PM

the most annoying thing is that we cant speak to goolge/youtube directly we get these useless top contributors who give us poor or robot scripted answers, why cant we speak directly to them like you can on ebay, they have there own msn style customer service. your a billion dollar company just pay someone minimum wage so we cant speak to u directly.

Please... some help.

Its been over a month and my cooking channel TheVeggieNerd still won't display ANY ads at all.

All video say "monetized" I've gotten no rejection e-mails nothing at all from youtube.

TheVeggieNerd is very Important to me, and is growing every day... I just need some help please...

Here's the link to my newest video on that channel:
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Midian777 3/7/12 5:37 PM
Sadly YouTube has Zero intention of curing the issue "faster" and the reason is simple. We "being most of the community" are still here complaining about it. That lets the Google/Youtube know that we havent left them to seek greener pastures (EG another video hosting website). We all have two choices.

Choice A: is to see if yelling at the Youtube, which almost everyone on the thread has indicated doesn't make a difference, will work.

Choice B: Drop YouTube and go to another media for your uploads. I agree that no partner is experiencing this issue and the explanation to that is very simple also. If your a partner there is some documentation involved where you agree to the terms of service for the long haul where as when we submit a video for review and monetization... well we are essentially going through the motions every video that full partners only have to do one last time.

Those groups like machinima, Toby turner, and others have signed a contract of sorts that states they review their groups or their personal material and it does not violate anyone's terms of service including the video game copyright owners. Their videos are assumed to be okay so it never hits the process that the rest of us have to go through. It truly sucks but I bet if several (being all of them) small channels walked away to build up some other video uploading website like Metacafe for example... You tube would have a much greater inclination to cure the issue. But I doubt you will even get ten percent of the youtubers to "go dark" because many of us have hope that posts like this one aren't true. Honestly I still hope that YouTube gets their stuff together, but logically unless a drastic protest is made in some way, i fear they will take another 2 months to get the issue resolved.

We just hit their migration today so there are many more bugs that will occur over the next couple of days that will keep youtube from even looking at a monetization problem I fear.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 3/7/12 5:53 PM
I filled out the forms from the rejection letter from youtube again - you know the one that says we can't verify that you have the rights.  I swear I did this before, but this time one of my videos was approved and I got a human response.  Maybe because I provided more detail about the technology and methods I used?  Not sure but I feel more positive now even though waiting on 3 others - hope they will go through.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Alex.A 3/7/12 6:12 PM
what kind of proof did u provide best music?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? DefiniteAquascapeTV 3/7/12 11:55 PM
Update on the missing $ button - it was missing by one of my videos, but now it's back again! :) And I can change the type of ads being displayed, and the ads are actually showing :) So hopefully everything is going back to normal... (fingers crossed :) ).

By the way, for those who still have videos "UR" - I think you guys can try to demonetize and remonetize the videos every 24 hours. I don't know if it will work, but it's probably better than not doing anything and waiting for days or weeks... I doubt the videos are reviewed by real persons, so several days of waiting it's more like a glitch than the result of being in the queue... But that's only my impression...

Cheers,

Piotr K.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? NoAdsOnMyVideosYet 3/8/12 1:12 AM
Okay, i'm going to be typing a lot so please be ready...

Ever since mid January (around the 16th i believe) ads have stopped displaying on my videos. I've uploaded over 70 videos since then and still <b>NO/b> ads. Yes, they are all approved instantly (like usual) but now the ads just don't show up. Yes, i have checked my account settings to make sure ads are enabled and yes i have checked my e-mail for any rejection letters but i have <b>NOT</b> received any. I have 4 monetization youtube channels that are experiencing this problem as well as many other YouTubers who check daily on these YouTube forums, to be only let down that there hasn't been any useful updates from YTmike or anyone else on the YouTube staff.

I have 7 <b>FULL</b> Partnered YouTube channels that displays ads perfectly. No problems whatsoever. However, it just seems that the "monetization" accounts are being forgotten about or not being dealt with. But wait, i'm also a full partner? Why not just send them an e-mail?!?!?!??! Hmm, maybe because when i have tried contacting YouTube Partner Support, i have only received automated messages with links to send myself in circles around their poor design and cheap method from hiring more staff to deal with specific issues. So what i do i do? Send more e-mails. What does YouTube do? send automated messages, this time to my spam folder took keep me waiting before sending them another e-mail.

Look, Youtube obviously doesn't respond to these threads, e-mails or any other form of contact. Hmm let's just all show up to their YouTube head quarters at 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA San Bruno CA? But wait.. i've been there before (months ago for a partner meeting) and they have the doors locked. How do you get in? They have a phone to connects you with the receptionist who will <b>NOT</b> let you in. Shall i disguise myself as an employee and wait for someone to walk out as i slip in? I mean, i do know my way around their building and where exactly i could get some answers within minutes. But no, getting arrested isn't my goal at the moment, however we still can group together the old fashion way with picket signs and everything and parade around their building until this issue is fixed. I'm not local to San Bruno but a $60 plane ticket is well worth my time flying out there to make this happen. So if anyone is actually interested in putting this together, please send me an e-mail to NoAdsOnMyVideosYet[at]gmail.com and depending on how many people are available we maybe be able to pull this off.

But wait... what if none of this works? What if YouTube is really working on this issue and we just have to be patient? Well, those are some good questions, thanks for asking. Next week will be 2 months since these ad issues have started happening, and with the what..2 updates from ytMike? I would hardly call those links he's been posting updates, just automated messages to keep us in circles. If you want to give us updates, why not daily? weekly? Check in on the thread you started... But don't get me wrong. I understand this isn't YTmikes fault, he's just the messenger. Thanks to the YouTube engineers who are too busy on trying to make the YouTube channel layouts worse and fixing the top videos on the new homepage with paid advertised videos, they have no time to worry about the little guys and their little monetization accounts. I mean,we're just trying to earn some extra cash in this time of the economy. I mean, don't get me wrong.. YouTube Adsense money should never be resorted to pays bills/food or anything like that but i enjoyed making a couple hundred dollars a month because i am able to stuff i love and enjoy. And who knows? Maybe one day i could make a career out of it. But all of that isn't possible for myself or anyone at the moment.

Now, because i wrote a whole lot of gibberish, i don't expect a YouTube employee to read this but i do hope that the people who are experiencing these monetization issues to please step up and send me an email. Organizing a group outside their Head Quarters is, as of now, the closest form of contact the majority of else will ever get. I'd even be able to help a few out if you need a plane ticket (if you are in any part of California or surrounding areas who can find deals under $100 one way to San Francisco) Call me crazy but i don't care. I'm honestly really annoyed by these issues i have let go of in hopes of YouTube responding with some actually feedback or just fixing the problems altogether.

So overall, my ads on my videos have stopped working. No help, no e-mail response, no nothing. If you want to step up with myself and be apart of an organized, non violent, peaceful protest out side YouTube HQ in San Bruno, just send me an e-mail at noadsonmyvideosyet[at]gmail.com and let's see what we can do.

And please read everything above before leaving any questions or concerns i may have already addressed.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 3/8/12 5:49 AM
Alex A - I provided a link to search query on us copyright office that shows I have CDs under copyright.  I already did that in the past, but I guess this time they listened?  I explained previously if you wrote the song yourself and save to sky drives or similar, that is also a form of copyright and lacks the flaw that snail-mailing it to yourself has (because you can't fake the date).  I believe this would in fact stand up in court because of this (although I'm not giving legal advice nor am I a lawyer).  So don't freak out just because youtube questions your work, just make sure you're always covered by something and file the forms with US copyright if you have never done so or have some volume of undocumented work.  You should do these things regardless of youtube to protect your works.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? teknoaxe 3/8/12 6:53 AM
MMCB_Best_Music  Hey man,

Can you take a look at this video I just uploaded?

It's stuck under monetization and even though I've provided the EULA to my DAW (Cakewalk Sonar Producer), do you think they also want the EULA to East/West Gold, which I use for my orchestra VST?

The amount of documentation needed for music submissions just seems ridiculous, but is that what they want?  I have an 8-bit track that passed muster in seconds, but these orchestra tracks seem to baffle Youtube employees that have apparently not entered into the 21st century yet.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MMCB Best Music 3/8/12 8:00 AM
Yeah it's still very unclear what they want, when they want it, why they need it etc.  So you didn't a letter that said like 'we can't verify you have the rights'?  I have one still stuck under review like this too - the one I wrote about this situation (ironic right?).  One thing is that they might be confused since it says royalty free, maybe they think you didn't write it?  You gotta license it to yourself haha

I have videos that have been under review for a month, others got monetized in a few days what should I do?
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? BennyTroung 3/9/12 8:13 PM
Alright y'all.  So I replied directly to the email I received from YouTube instead of filling out another revenue share claim.

I got a response about two days later, saying that my video had been accepted.

My original revenue share claim was pretty long, as I wanted to make sure I covered all bases.  Maybe it was rejected because it was too long?

The second time, I made sure that I was short and to the point.  That might be the key to this.  Here's what I wrote:

"This video and all content found within it is owned by me.

This video contains music which I composed myself.  It was composed
using Image Line's FL Studio program.

License terms for FL Studio can be found here:
http://www.image-line.com/documents/legalnotice.html?TOU=12

Please let me know if you need further documentation.

Thank you."

Good luck to everyone who is still having problems.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Midian777 3/10/12 9:08 AM
well don't file a bug report highlighting your videos that have not monetized... I did that yesterday and YouTube ass hole went and just auto rejected them, so be wary of that... when you file a bug report they just screw you and they dont even have a link on the rejection email anymore for you to claim the rights to the video.

Well, even though I got through the dispute claim process on my last video, I uploaded one today and have been presented with a new hurdle in the form of a false ContentID match.

Filing dispute claims is my main time expenditure on YouTube now...

Good luck independent creators.

I am a full youtube partner under the usernames DibbersPage and also DibbersBritishWorld so i know the rules regarding the use of copyright music etc. I had a video rejected for revenue last week and still haven't heard anything back regarding my appeal on a video on my monetized biker DibberInTheWind channel http://www.youtube.com/user/DibberInTheWind the video url in question is http://youtu.be/xcq0TXzR0Dg I use an intro which was written exclusive for me which i've used before and given the information as to my commercial rights to use it and everything was ok, i think this issue is regarding the background music which is from a website that i used all the time before with no problems, the music is creative commons 3 and can be used for commercial purpose as long as you credit the owner which i've also done, the website is owned by my friend Jason Shaw ans can be found at www.audionautix.com I now also have another video which i uploaded today still under review, please look into this matter as every day the videos are not monetized i'm loosing a chunk of my income.
Many thanks

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Progressive Rhythm 3/20/12 8:48 AM
Well, got through the contentID dispute within 36 hours, then I attempted to monetize again and got the same "unable to verify commercial usage rights".

Still waiting for a response on this dispute.

The main reason I'm posting:

I've done a good deal of research into the motivations behind the contentID system and over-zealous algorithms. As it turns out, this really wasn't YouTube's plan. They didn't introduce these systems to squeeze out the independent producers. Essentially, YouTube was strong-armed by the music industry.   WMG, etc.

All this information is available on google (look at "youtubelicenseoffer.com" as an example of some fun legal goings on).

They were forced to introduce algorithms in an emergency situation without time to refine them or face huge lawsuits (or worse). Look to "The Mega Conspiracy" fallacy as an example of major label, recording institute and music group lobbyists having excessive power due to their large financial backing.

I'm not trying to stir up trouble or anything, I just want to make it clear that YouTube isn't really to blame in this situation, so be nice in your claim e-mails!

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? SSDVD 3/20/12 9:20 AM
The issues Mike stated have been fixed are not fixed at all. I had at least a 100 videos monetized on youtube. One day I woke up and did my daily adsense check to find out I wasn't making any money. So I logged in to youtube to see what the issue was and BAM!!! my videos were no longer monetized. I legally own all rights to my footage so thats not the issue. I'm REALLY frustrated right now considering I have put a lot of research and work into monetizing. Can someone inform me on the problem at hand or offer any additional info. youtube.com/oweboy1389

After I did not get an answer for some days I tried to dispute again. It is more than a week now that I did not get any answer on my disputes.

I am having the same problem as well, and before I saw this forum, I resubmitted my videos for monetization, and now some that were previously monetized cannot be monetized because YouTube says I don't have sufficient documentation to monetize them, but I'm only requesting to monetize solely original content currently. Same here. My plan to only upload new videos after the last one gets monetized isn't working so well. I also submitted the exact same documentation.

Some sort of preferential treatment based on potential earnings might be influencing the dispute process. I don't want to spam them, but one dispute claim certainly doesn't cut it.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Progressive Rhythm 3/29/12 8:03 AM
Royalty free =/= commercial usage licensing. The same applies to certain forms of CC licensing. I'm unfamiliar with his specific licensing terms. However, youtube makes a clear distinction between 'commercial' and 'non-commercial' licensing for legal reasons. So, double check the documentation you are submitting. You may even need to request further documentation from the creator.

Although, in the time it takes to find a track you like and provide proper documentation, you could probably make something with a similar level of production quality.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Progressive Rhythm 3/29/12 9:03 AM
It wasn't a glitch, the system was less specific/certain organizations weren't as legally threatening at the time.

If I can't get my own compositions monetized without human review, I wouldn't expect the algorithm to allow you to monetize a video with others music.
Bots don't read handwritten letters.

Eventually the claims make it to a human reviewer, you will have a specific ticket number and the message is formatted differently.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? jesseeckel 3/29/12 5:11 PM
Hey Mike! I'm having an issue similar to this. I tried to monetize about 7 of my videos and I had them all rejected. However all the content in the videos including the music was made by myself on Apple's Logic. I didn't know how at the time to properly appeal for my videos to be re-enabled and simply responded to each claim by saying "all the content on each video was produced by me."

After some research I figured out I was supposed to post the licensing terms for the software I produced the music with.  So I went back to each video a responded a second time listing the licensing terms for each video and stating I made the content.

I have yet to hear a reply back and a huge chuck of my videos are now disabled. I don't know what else to do.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 4/1/12 3:38 AM
The problem exists for self-made music as well as for commercial use licensed music. It is not an issue of people who did not differ properly between royalty free and commercial use license.

I checked the advertising options when i edit and they are all checked off. I have not received any emails or notifications in reference to the videos and I have rights to use all the content. Just wanted to let everyone know that some revisions have been made to the monetization support page (http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2490081). Specifically, the "What does YouTube look for in my documentation?" (linked in the last paragraph) section might be helpful.

I'm slightly confused because it seems less specific about certain aspects such as inclusion of EULAs for software. Maybe an outdated method now? My last method that was 'approved' didn't work for me this time, probably because the claim format doesn't follow their revised guidelines.

XXLRay: Very true. I was thinking they might have wanted additional information for the claim process. My comment is out of context now anyways.

I've had the same issues. I've had one monetized on one channel and then the same video NOT monetized on the other. I had to wait 24 hrs and then re-uploaded it again. Seemed to work. My problem right now is I used to get MEGA views and Revenue, now I hardly get any views and almost no revenue whatsoever. People on the forum are blaming the new algorithm....
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 4/10/12 2:04 AM
I think I have the same problem. I noticed that I did not earn anything the last days. Furthermore my monetizable views droped to zero for several days now. This never happend before since I started to monetize my videos!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 4/11/12 7:13 AM
One of my videos had been rejected. I copy and pasted exactly the same information I gave during the upload process to the dispute form. It has just been accepted now. Thus I assume that the information I gave are correct and YOUR REVIEW PROCESS DURING UPLOAD DOES NOT WORK!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Progressive Rhythm 4/11/12 9:49 AM
I've seen a bit of a decrease too, the viewers do seem to be a little more targeted though. Hopefully the algorithm will be adjusted or rolled back.

The review process during upload is completely broken.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? TrueShawnBW 4/11/12 2:47 PM
I'm getting extremely annoyed with the inability to accept submitted information and actually monetizing videos.  I submitted information proving I have permission to place ads on a video on March 22nd, yet it still isn't monetized.  Eight random videos since then are facing the same problem; they say I need to submit documentation, so I submit the documentation, then nothing changes.

This is not a visual issue, as there are no ads on the videos.  I have not received any email either explaining a rejection, acceptance, or even a delay of monetization.  This is not due to the fact that I'm currently verifying my AdSense account, either, as since March 22nd, I have actually uploaded 41 videos, and will be uploading 2 more videos later today.  Every other video I've uploaded in that time has been monetized without a problem, and every video has had the same sort of content from the same sources I'm allowed to use in conjunction with ads.

And on a side note... What is up with this crap new layout of the forums?  Why did you bother changing it to make it so no one can find what they're looking for unless they've previously had it bookmarked?  And why did you remove the pages and stick with a nuisance of endless scrolling?  That's a really poor and pathetic design...

I just submitted a video two days ago, it was under review for 48 hours but this morning the icon is gone for good, I haven't received any email but the ads still not showing. Any ideas?
Thanks

Once again i have a video sitting in REVIEW for hours on end on my biker channel http://www.youtube.com/user/dibberinthewind and the video URL is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9T9BFnUKgU Not only am i loosing money hand over fist on my Branded Partner channels with the new algorithm but now it seems i'm to also loose yet again on my biker channel. I always use music from the same artist and website on all my channels which is Creative Commons 3.0 and can be used for commercial purposes with no problems what so ever and on my other channels the revenue application goes straight through. I don't know if there is a bug of some sort within the script for my biker channel, what ever it is CAN SOMEONE PLEASE SORT IT OUT, this is my living.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? James Saputo 4/15/12 4:46 PM
Hi James, seems that it takes about 1 month for them to get back to you.  As soon as you add music, they flag the video.  Yes, 30 days and you'll hear back from them, they are that back logged.  I have no clue what is going on, but it's bad.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 4/16/12 1:09 AM
I know this problem. I was only able to get accepted during upload with CC BY 3.0 music once. All of my last videos were rejected after hours. They were accepted during the dispute process in which I gave exactly the same information (copy&paste) as during the upload. This takes about three days for me. It seems to take longer over weekends and vacation days.

From this I conclude that you video can quickly be accepted for monetization during upload if the song is in their database. If it is not in the database it might take hours until the whole database has been inspected for the song you used. Afterwards some dude who does not work on the weekends has to check your information manually.

This is how I give my license information (I hope this helps):

I have the same issue, I have a video that is 100% mine, the only thing is it has royalty free music in the backround, which requires I ad "Music by artist" in the credits which I have and noted that when applying for monetizate(sp?).. was under review for 24+ hours and now the icon has gone and I have no E-mails stating whats wrong with it.. anyone know whats going on??

Did you check your SPAM-box? Anyway you can use the following link to dispute (give at least a link to the song you use and the license description):

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? KATTALESTV 4/16/12 8:05 AM
Recently my monetization of original content videos where I am interviewing celebs have been denied. I have permission to do so and I have been covering one show DWTS for over 4 seasons without a problem. For some reason my revenue stream has been denied in my most recent videos. Even one video interview with NeNe Leakes on the street where she is talking to me has been denied. WTheck is going on? I have expressed permission by the parties in the videos to use the content. Meanwhile other sites have embedded my videos such as ANGRY BIRDS and posted it on their siteshttp://www.angrybirdsfights.com/kattalestv/?PHPSESSID=4dd5fb33bedafe83e66515a18a3eec00 . One video with Gavin DeGraw that I did has over 1111+ hits on the Angry Bird site yet my numbers for the video that I created don't reflect it. I posted over 50 vids lately that have been denied monetization. I go back and retry or youtube waits over a month and says the video is under review. I think that is shady. Can I actually communicate with a person to rectify this issue?
Thoroughly frustrated with the lack of customer service with youtube right now. I have over 1600+ videos that other people are capitalizing from by embedding my content on their sites.
Thanks

Yes I concur, it loooks like Google slash youtube is running a racket. People who provide ORIGINAL CONTENT are getting no answer or denied monetization on their videos. Meanwhile other sites are embedding OUR ORIGINAL CONTENT and making money on their sites as well as receiving hits from our work that we don't get the analytics for. THAT IS NOT FAIR! Example http://www.angrybirdsfights.com/kattalestv/?PHPSESSID=4dd5fb33bedafe83e66515a18a3eec00
If you GOOGLE KAT TALES TV and search videos you will see where my videos are and how many hits on other's sites my content is making yet I don't receive the TRUE numbers and anayltics for my WORK.

My experience is that youtube is not interested in things going on at the "help" forum. At least they are hardly responding to questions. It seems quite arbitrary if an answer hits the problem.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? favatat 4/21/12 11:22 AM
Hello, I was having monitization issues myself. I was sent a email about a video I used with iMove (That is supposed to be royalty free) so I decided it wasn't worth the trouble and I removed it. I then used my cousin's music (That he gave me permission for) for 2 of my videos. I was sent a rejection email and I decided it wasn't worth the trouble of getting all the permission paperwork and I deleted the videos.  I uploaded both the videos again without any music on them. One of the videos was approved right away and the other video is under review. I'm hoping I didn't screw anything up here. I love You Tube and I have been starting to rely on the income I receive from Adsense.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? bluelightningtv 4/23/12 9:45 AM
I do Photoshop tutorials on YouTube. For some inexplicable reason, my latest video is unable to be monetized, even though there is NO reason it should be denied. There is no "Monetize" section in the "Info & Settings" area. It is a tutorial about how to make a sheet of crumpled paper from scratch. All of the content was created be me! No music, no photos, no using someone else's materials! The authorship is me! I reported it to YouTube, but all I got back was an email informing me that they were not able to verify that I have the appropriate commercial use rights for all included content.  It also provided a link to claim rights to a video. When I go to the link, there is no explanation HOW and WHERE I can prove that my video is good to go. What gives? HELP!!!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? LOLpervs 4/23/12 7:22 PM
I had this video be rejected for monetization, even though it was previously approved. I have all rights and permissions to use the footage in my video report from the original producer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5zOeL9EzQ4

I submitted an appeal weeks ago and have not heard back. Please reenable monetization!

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? GigMan 5/1/12 2:38 AM
@YTmike So I go through the process and receive an email and get a Congratulations your account is now enabled etc message in Video Manager. Seems simple enough. I select a video and click the Actions button then click on Monetize and the following message appears. 'Some of the videos you selected are not eligible for monetization. Please deselect videos that do not have the $ icon and try again.'

NONE of my videos have the $ icon.

What's up with that?

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? BionicDance 5/1/12 7:52 AM
I cannot save monetization details. At all.

It's not like my videos are just sitting there, waiting for approval--I've been on auto-approve for over a year--it's that I get an error when trying to save monetization details; I CANNOT SUBMIT MY VIDEO FOR MONETIZATION.

What's going on here?

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? stratafm 5/1/12 8:08 AM

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Jam16 5/1/12 5:42 PM
Has this issue been resolved yet, as I have tried to monetize my videos again because I received an email saying " We have disabled monetization on the following videos because we were not able to verify that you have the appropriate commercial use rights for all included content". When I have tried to find the claims page to fill out the form for the videos, I have had to revert to the old style youtube to find it, only now to find the monetization tab does not appear on any of the navigation tabs, so I can't even submit my claim. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? MULLY5150 5/1/12 7:53 PM
Agreed 100% on this. People tend to flip their wig over this copyright stuff. What they don't take the time to consider is that IF there is a lawsuit about using copyrighted music in a video it's going to be a lawsuit against YouTube, not us. YouTube is putting their own asses on the line for us. The least we could do is respect that and do our best to not use copyrighted materials without the proper permission. Now, is the system perfect? No, but regardless of how long you think it's been, all of this is still in in infancy. I'm sure they would like to have it perfect but there is still so much to learn about all of this.

In short, if you have a third party claim on something, or can't get it monetized, then submit your dispute in a civil manner. If it doesn't go through then so be it. Your entire livelihood isn't resting on whether you get the video of grandma blowing out candles on a birthday cake with Metallica playing in the background monetized or not.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? LOLpervs 5/1/12 9:11 PM
I disagree with you. As a professional creator, my livelihood does depend on every single ad dollar I am entitled to. I need to fight for my rights, as YouTube is not adequately attending to my professional needs even though I have provided them sufficient proof and I am losing money daily as a result. You are incorrect in stating that copyright holders sue YouTube over the copyright infringer. The copyright infringer is liable for the infringement. However, I am confident that the music industry has argued in court that YouTube, as a distribution platform, has a responsibility in prohibiting financial profit from illegal usage and warrants being sued if it fails in this regard.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 5/1/12 10:39 PM
Yes, the system is not perfect but fixing the problems takes endless time and people are left alone with their problems. This is even worse then the problems itself.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 5/8/12 1:04 AM
I used CC BY music from someone elses video that was already monetized. My video has been monetized within SECONDS! From that I conclude what I already assumed that the review process is rather fast when they have the music in their database. Of course this is rather bad new for people creating their own music or applying new royalty free music. I think these will still have to go through the dispute process :(
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? prontv 5/8/12 10:52 AM
YouTube has disabled revenue sharing capabilities on your channel as you have not provided adequate documentation proving that you have the necessary rights to commercially use all video and audio material in the videos you submitted for revenue sharing.

Also, please note that your current AdSense accountc xxx...@yahoo.com[1201013993647955] can no longer be associated with any other YouTube accounts.

Please note that we reserve the right to make the final determination on whether to enable revenue sharing capabilities.

Hey mike, I'm guessing you work for youtube / Google? Sorry i'm new to forums. Well i've been having issues with monetization on my videos when i put some type of music even thou i have authorization for it, and its the best way possible IMO, it's through youtube inbox, and i haven't deleted the messages, i'm keeping it in there so you guys can review it. So everytime i put a video with music the monetization gets declined because of the music, but i have the authors permission via youtube inbox, how can i go around this? Please help me mike!!
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? AintBigAintClever 5/9/12 3:56 PM
This shows that we can't even TEST to see if it's fixed yet. Test too many times and you lose monetisation on the entire channel, even though your videos are your own work. I've currently got three non-infringing videos that have been rejected and am awaiting a response to the appeal I submitted on the weekend. I daren't risk uploading and monetising any more vids until it's fixed or at least the appeals go through!

Hi there, I'm currently having an issue when selecting to monetize a video. When I tick it from video manager, then select monetize from actions, I get the following message:

"1 video could not be monetized. Please try again."

I've tried this last night and now this morning and still the same issue. It's not a case of waiting for it to be approved, not even the grey monetizing symbol appears. My account is set up, I currently have a few videos set up and working fine from within the past few weeks.

A link to my video incase it helps:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zx6mqySv2T4

Annoying me, since it happens to be my most popular video to date! Thanks kindly for any help or replies.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Urmamov 5/18/12 7:24 AM
Just to fill in with more information:
I did receive an email saying it couldnt be verified for monetizing due to lack of legal information. The issue is now that I've declared the game, publisher, and linked to terms of use, I do not know how I can resubmit my monetizing claim - as I keep getting the above error message when trying to monetizing it (even after I've updated the video description to include the needed detail).

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Ozzy2007 5/20/12 9:29 AM
I'm having a similar problem. I've got permission from Codemasters to monetise F1 2011 game videos, and I put the actual email from Codies into the claim form when uploading the video. It was still knocked back for revenue sharing. Also, an unboxing video that I uploaded has also been knocked back, even though its only me in the video and I own the copyright for it since I wrote, filmed and produced the video. It's so annoying.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? XXLRay 5/20/12 9:48 AM
There should be a link to dispute the rejection inside the email you received.

Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? mpickle 5/22/12 9:05 PM
It's been more than two weeks since I submitted documentation for my video that was denied monetization, and I have received no response at all from Youtube.  I have permission for everything in the video and similar videos would always monetize instantly before the new layout design.  How long should I expect to wait for an answer?  This is so frustrating...
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Ozzy2007 5/25/12 11:06 AM
I don't understand what they're playing at. They sent me another one saying that rev sharing had been disabled on the account even though I sent them the documentation. I've just uploaded a fairly video just now, and watermarked it too just in case theres any doubt on their part. It's still under review though, which is strange because they normally approve right away for me.
Re: Monetization submission not saving according to Video Manager? Progressive Rhythm 5/25/12 11:13 PM
In response to some of the above messages:
It is indeed highly annoying. However, I believe your solicitor/lawyer (if you do decide to seek legal counsel) will only be able to reaffirm the fact that you've already agreed to the terms and conditions. Essentially, you were voluntarily contacted by YouTube and/or Google with the opportunity to receive some of the ad revenue generated by your content.

The terms clearly state that no guarantees are given regarding the amount or length of time that you may receive compensation. Not only would it be impossible for them to provide such reassurances, they could cease to provide any compensation, at any time, without any legal repercussions.

By all means, seek legal representation if you wish. However, expect to end up with less money, no answers and maybe a disabled account of some sort. The best usage of legal council in these circumstances would probably be related to drawing up official commercial licensing documents. YouTube has become "major media" and is expected to abide by the complex and somewhat ridiculous commercial licensing standards that other large media companies "abide" by (often only when convenient or backed by enough money to take them to court for an extended period).

In the meantime, continue submitting documentation, especially software EULAs, if applicable.

I have a youtube Chanel called Ggholidays.  It shows as all my videos as being monetized but no adverts appear on the youtube videos.  Can you please tell me why?

Thanks

I've had monetization turned on and accepted on several of my videos but when I watch them no ads show?
