Did you receive any sort of content ID on the video? In that case, the content owner gets to decide if syndication will be permitted.

I am having the same problem, I did not receive any content ID on the video. What would the content ID say and how would that change the syndication choice?

Are there any advertisements running on your video?
When you play the video, just below the player below the view count does it indicate that the video contains content from someone else?
What do you see when you go here: http://www.youtube.com/my_videos_copyright

I've been having the same trouble, however I found that it was the music track I selected (Cranberies - Dreams) as I do not have a license to use it.  As such it will play on my PC but not on iPod/Phone or Apple TV

To fix, either find another track that IS licensed to YouTube or, in the video manager > select the video in question > edit ( \/ dropdown box) > enhancements > audio > select a track from their list and save as.

I now have 2 versions up, the original and one with alternate music for mobile devices.

Here are my vids here, please view and comment if you found this helpful ;)

content ID is messed up for me. There are no ads nor is the artist displayed on my video yet it matched third party content saying the song was okay to use.

Theres to many of you with the same complaint. Most likely it another YT bug
Re: No, this video should not be available on mobile phones and TV. I CAN'T CHANGE THIS, WHY?? mcna1mcna1 7/22/12 2:00 PM
Yeah ur probably right! Iv just found another one the A side to one of my records is fine but the B side can't be played through a mobile device?? Thats not a copy right infringement as its the same artist and record label so there's got to be a problem with YT.

Er no, they are very likely both copyright infringement, but, it sounds like only one of them has been identified so far.

Ok thats fair enough but how do you explain 20 or so songs that iv mixed together my self with no track information and i cant view it on a mobile device. However all 20 songs featured in my mix i have already previously uploaded individual and i can view them all on a mobile device???

Since that is entirely at the discretion of the copyright owner, they are the only ones who could answer that, others can only guess. Maybe the fact that 20 songs were used makes it more likely to be caught as compared to one at a time, but, of course that is just a guess.

Most likely for the same reasons explained above.

I have recently made a music video, I have indicated that the music is not mine in copyright.  I realise that the syndication is controlled by the copyrighter (my movie is blocked in Germany also).  Is there any way for me to change this, or contact the copyrighters and ask for it to be changed?  It is a music video so I don't want to change the music, it defeats the purpose.

Of course you could do that, you would need to figure out how to contact them and Google search would be a good place to start. But, since they already have decided not to allow it, don't you think that would be a complete waste of time?

I have that in on a mix set that I posted...youtube sux
I am now lookin' into some other video hosting site or just doing my own site.

It's a third party copyright violation that they claim but in most cases it does not affect your youtube account.

I bet if where you created the video(movie maker, powerpoint, etc) you change the names of the songs you might be able to get around it. I haven't tried it yet but I believe that might work.

I seriously doubt that. There may be some evidence that they look at song titles, but, the primary detection means still is the actual content. So the only solid way is to use content for which you have license, even that is likely to get false IDs, but, at least has the potential to being resolved.

This thread has had 33 posts. At least 10 or so of them have given the answer, read the 2nd post, that should be enough.
