|Youtube videos on Xbox 360 being zoomed in||royal.wrghpro||12/17/11 12:03 PM|
When trying to play back a Youtube video on Xbox, the video is zoomed in, so the edges of the video are cropped off. (The same effect if someone had changed the display mode on a TV to zoomed)
And there is no option to change anything like this in the video app. Its really annoying sometimes when the bottom of the video is cropped off so you can't read text, etc.
Any fix to this?

I confirm this problem, mainly in hd videos. And couldn't find a fix to this :(

same problem as well. I'm trying to watch Starcraft replays but all the edges are cropped away.

Still not fixed in the recent updates. Other video apps have a Display button to change the aspect ratio during video playback (toggling through Auto, Letterbox, Zoom, Stretch, and Native). The YouTube app is stuck on Zoom (or it's set to Auto and not working correctly). All they need to do is add that Display button to the playback menu and/or change the default aspect ratio back to Native. It's an easy fix if we can just bring it to someone's attention. Google employees don't seem to read these forums very often though.

Here we are in 2013 and this is still happening.
Worse, if you are watching a video, and hit the "b" on the xbox controller to stop it blacks out your screen (no visuals) there is no way around it other than restarting your xbox.
Thanks for being proactive with your consumer base google.

I found the fix. You press Xbox button on controller then go to settings and system settings. Next go to display and the one talking about you screen size( don't remember exact one) and it should be on widescreen so change it to normal and there you go. It should be fixed(worked for me).
