YouTube and/or AdSense Glitch? $150+ in Potential Revenue Lost Bowler4Ever 4/29/12 5:24 PM
Hello there,

I have been a YouTube user for close to 5 years now and I have been using AdSense for a little over two years. I have had no issues whatsoever and I have been very satisfied with the service and the extra money coming in to support myself and do the things I want to do in life.
However, around January 29, that all stopped suddenly, without warning. No email, no text/phone calls, nothing. The money just suddenly stopped. One day after, I look on my YouTube account under the Monetization tab, and it said my AdSense account was disabled. However, I was able to access my AdSense account, but it said that it was active and still linked to YouTube.
I complained (apparently onto the wrong forum) and it was re-instated. Again, no email, no reply from anyone in Google or YouTube. I was happy that it came back. I was not happy that the videos I submitted and had been approved previously was not being monetized anymore, and I had to resubmit them manually. It looked like things were going well after that and the money started coming in again.
4 days later, it stopped again after I made a measly $2.60. It has been like this since. I am annoyed and frustrated as to what happened. I wanted to give it a couple of months to see if things would correct itself. Obviously, it has not. I have no idea what has happened, but I want some closure to this so I can get the funds coming in again (and to finally become a YouTube Partner officially).

Sincerely,

Eric Jones

So are ads currently displaying on your videos?

Do your videos show as "monetized" in your Video Manager?

No ads, but the videos say they are monetized. Google AdSense not reporting anything (No Data Available).

If no ads are showing, then AdSense will report "no data available", since the data is from the ads.

When you hover over the green $ on your video manager page, does that show "monetized" or something else?

It says "Monetized" on them (at least the ones I submitted).

What's the URL of a video that shows Monetized, but isn't showing ads?

I'll ask YouTube support to take a look.

How will I know they've looked at this issue? Will I be emailed, messaged over YouTube, messaged through here, etc.?

Keep an eye on your channel. You may not get any notification.

Hey Peggy, I just wanted to update you real quick. Nothing has changed in the past ten days. I still have monetization enabled and I monetized another video, but nothing is coming in through AdSense (and yes, I am getting views on these videos).

Unfortunately I don't know how long it might take YouTube support to look at your issue, or whether they can fix it.

Is there a way I could get in contact with one or two people over at the support team personally so I can get a more personal and thorough investigation?

No, there is no way to directly talk to support.
