|Stuck in an infinite redirect / page load loop at sign-in||jtdubs||6/26/12 1:16 PM|
YouTube has an extremely severe error occurring right now: When I log in to Google using any one of three accounts (personal, wife's personal, and workplace account) the landing page for YouTube still has a "Sign in" button instead of confirming that I'm already signed in with Google. If I click the "Sign in" button, I am thrown into an infinite loop of page loads and redirects.
Closing the tab, quitting the browser (Safari, Firefox, and Chrome) and logging out then logging in all failed to correct the problem. While signed in, I can successfully access Gmail and other Google apps, but YouTube fails as mentioned.

First step: Clear the browser cache and cookies (be sure to deselect any options to "save" some data, that may very well be the data you need to clear - note you will have to sign into accounts that are usually automatically signed in).
Second step: Be sure YouTube was not inadvertantly added to a list of sites that are not permitted to set cookies. For IE it would be in Internet Options, Privacy tab, in the Settings section, the Sites button.

I am also experiencing the same problem as jtdubs. I'm currently using Chrome and YouTube is not on the list of sites not permitted to set cookies. I've also tried unlinking and relinking my YouTube/Google Accounts. Any other tips?
