|Why does YouTube homepage look different on Chrome than on Firefox/Safari?||jonesn5||6/9/12 9:52 PM|
I'd like to make Chrome my default browser, but I cannot stand the YouTube layout. My homepage is populated with all kinds of videos from channels I'm not subscribed to, and the layout is just weird looking. I just want it to show the videos I'm subscribed to in chronological order, like it does on Firefox and Safari, but I cant find a way to do it in Chrome. Please help. Attached are screenshots from Chrome and Safari.

Same here, but it's the other way around for me. My Youtube layout on Safari looks like your youtube layout on Chrome, and the layout on my Firefox looks like your layout on Safari.
Please fix this Youtube!
And while you're at it, how about updating my subscription page with ALL new uploads from each channel I'm subscribed to? Instead of updating me with what YOU choose to? There have been plenty of times where I see a video embedded on another site, click it and see that I am subscribed to that channel, but there was no update on my channel page?! why?! Go back to the format from 2008!!!

I'm using the latest version of Firefox, and I've got all those random video mixed in with my regular subscriptions as well. It is incredibly frustrating, it's really easy to miss new videos from the channels I'm subscribed to.
The most bizarre thing is that the layout changes for different browsers. Is there some hidden setting that can be changed so we can have definite subscriptions in one column and recommended videos in another? Or is this some new layout that YouTube is slowly rolling out at random?
Either way, I really, REALLY want new videos from channels I'm subscribed to to stay in the one list. Having to navigate this weird layout is putting me off using YouTube a lot.

Ahh, you know what? You can forget all of my complaints! There is a very quick and easy fix for this.
Just delete your cookies, and YouTube will go back to normal! :D

wonderfishclyde got it right. Just delete your cookies and it will go back to normal! As for showing all new uploads, I think if you click "show uploads only" at the top, and under the "view" drop-down click "everything" that will do it for you. Unfortunately I think you have to do this every time you return to the YouTube.

Another best solution is to uninstall Chrome and use Firefox, the best web browser.
