Sometimes youtube shows me html5-version of videos. I noticed that because CPU usage increasing twice, it is so buggy and slow, playback with jumps, manual choise of time breakes all download line. I did not sign up to this html5-experiment. My user experience shows me, that html5-video on Youtube is awful.

Dell XPS M1530

I've been doing a little research online and apparently HTML5 doesn't agree with Firefox at all. And as a user of that browser, I feel your pain. *sigh*

No matter which web browser I use the results are appalling. Videos constantly fail to load, I get errors constantly and it seems to be slower than it was 4 years ago with certain videos.

Sounds like you need to fix your computer; such as run through a standard reformat, reinstall, reevaluation of your computer contents and most likely that will fix more problems than just this youtube one here...

...because there's no way Youtube's service that they've been providing us has done anything but continue to improve drastically over the years!

PS Forgot you have Firefox installed even in this day and age! It's definitely a problem with you and your computer... (the constant errors and lag you thought may be Youtube that is)

Oh yeah))) You say the problem is in my computer?:) But Flash Player works very good on Youtube! So smooth, no lags, just works. Problems only on with html5-player. It is just bad.

I've been experiencing a lot of problems as well, such as distorted video, audio falling out of sync, et cetera, and noticed it went away when I opted-out of using YouTube's HTML5 player. If you haven't already, you can do so by visiting http://www.youtube.com/html5

No. Just no.

Is it just me or do the majority of "fixes" assume a reinstall or HDD wipe.

This is not fixable by a OS reinstall, and frankly you should only ever wipe and reinstall the OS if you have severe problems on the majority of computing tasks.

Youtube and all the other HTML-5 supporters need to start forcing HTML-5 compatibility drivers/updates to every computer if possible imo.

I've tested html5 with XULrunner 7.0, win7, conkeror. It works, video don't lag, but I just can't use timeline on every 2/3 videos(it's not laggin or whatever, just don't work).
And I have bugs like on pic, some visibility problems.

YouTube HTML5 Video Player is fiasco. Very slow, many bugs with Opera and IE
I send many debug info error to google and not yet a single fix.
