|Why was Google's Memorial Day 2012 doodle disrespectful and so small?||llgreen9528||5/28/12 5:27 PM|
I was floored when I went onto Google's homepage today and saw the incrediably small the Memorial Day's doodle was, if you can call it that. Whoever created it should be fired or sent to the mail room for a month. This is completely disrespectful to every American. I've seen better doodles for things or people that haven't given so much for our freedom. Hope you can do better with the other American holidays like July 4tf or Veteran's Day.

Sometimes, you don't need big and flashy to show you care.

I'm not extremely patriotic, but was complete disappointed in Googles tribute to their own country's soldiers! If it weren't for our service men and women they wouldn't have the freedom they enjoy everyday... and I would love for all 4,000 + employees to spend a week in another country or POW camp so that they might gain a better respect for what they have and those who give their all for us to have it!!!!!!

I completely agree. I actually haven't been on the computer all day and then sat down to check email, opened Google, and thought for a moment that it was too late in the day and the doodle had been removed... I guess I'm wrong. There are crazy elaborate doodles for crap I've never even heard of... and it's one of the things I like about Google.
Google - do you have something against the Americans who have died while serving in the Armed Forces? What the hell. You are an American company and our veterans are the only reason you even have the right to access and publish the information on your search engine.
I am very disappointed.
