|I can't see any of my search results.||sam||1/9/14 8:26 AM|
all of a sudden when i google something it tells me there is however many results but there are no results on my screen. there is just a list of similar searches and the page number, which is normally below the results. I'm sure this has been answered before somewhere but i'd appreciate any help.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Seitenmeister||1/9/14 9:03 AM|
you are the second with this problem today.
my only idea is malware: https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/8091?hl=en
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Tonni Aarhus||1/9/14 9:09 AM|
I have the exact same problem. Can anybody help?
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Henrietta Bruun||1/9/14 9:37 AM|
I've scanned with Bullguard antivirus, adwcleaner and one other and nothing were found.
We have two PC's thrue a router with same problem, IE8 and IE11, Firefox and Chrome.
This is what happens:
It seems to be problem with the address bar.
And back to "Web" comes this adress up:
But fether than that I cannot get - the first page of the searches is the only one that works - nothing happens when I click on the "Next" button...
Somehow it fails to forward me to some other site - but fails.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Paul Prescott||1/9/14 9:50 AM|
I have same this problem too. Also sometimes I get a normal page of results but when I click to go the second page I get the blank list again
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Nala top||1/9/14 9:55 AM|
Same here. something's changed and needs sorting!!
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Henrietta Bruun||1/9/14 10:01 AM|
I have scanned with Microsofts malwae removal tool and malwarebyte - nothing so far.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||sam||1/9/14 10:07 AM|
when i go to images and back to web search my results appear. i went into my search settings and disabled google instant predictions and now it works but i would rather have it on. I also scanned with my anti-virus software and found nothing.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Henrietta Bruun||1/9/14 10:32 AM|
Worked on Firefox atleast.
What in hevens name had happened here?
Our laptop did not have this problem - only thru router wirered PC's.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Tonni Aarhus||1/9/14 10:51 AM|
Yes it worked here to. Thank you Sam.
Yes what had happened here??
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Rich5lt||1/9/14 10:55 AM|
So does this work round alter the way Google works?
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Edthefolkie||1/9/14 11:08 AM|
I too tried all sorts of stuff but 20 years of Google experience didn't help. However Sam's fix (disabling Google Instant) worked so thanks Sam!!! I suspect that a family member changed this setting on our PC last night but that doesn't alter the fact that Google have a problem here which should be fixed. I'm on Win7 64, IE11 by the way.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||JVIushroom||1/9/14 11:50 AM|
I to am having this issue and it is really starting to bug me. My issue is the same as the OP, my search shows the number of search results and suggestions related to my search but nothing more, I have to click images then back on to web before I can see my results.
The whole idea of a search engine is that it is an efficient way to search the web, this issue is really crippling that ideal, fix it Google!
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Henrietta Bruun||1/9/14 12:43 PM|
Well - in our household has nobody changed anything in Google.
Could it be some update?
But why hasen't our laptop got "infected"?
PC with problem: WIN7 64 IE9 and IE11 - router thru cable
Laptop NO problem: WIN7 Pro 32 IE10 (Google Instant active)- router wireless
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Tonni Aarhus||1/9/14 12:51 PM|
Here we got two laptops, wireless connected through router, both with the problem.
Nobody has changed anything in google.
they both have win7, 64, IE10.

|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Seitenmeister||1/9/14 1:29 PM|
in the german websearch forum someone reported that his problem was fixed after he changed - saved - and rechanged (+save) the Google Instant predictions, like sam said ( goo.gl/hao2v1 ).
can you verify this?
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||marketsharer||1/9/14 1:48 PM|
It seems the font colour is changhed to white (use Ctrl a to check), has been going on for over 24 hours in the Netherlands. Only "solution" seems to be to change your Instant Prediction settings.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Tonni Aarhus||1/9/14 1:51 PM|
My problem was solved, when i disabled the google instant predictions. I just tried to enable instant predictions again, but the problem came back. Now I have disabled the instant predictions again, and the problem is solved again.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||bluequoll||1/9/14 2:21 PM|
This bug has been escalated for Google's attention, and they are working on a fix.
Please supply the information requested by nealeigh.
As a temporary workaround, try opening Search Settings, select • Never show Instant results, and click Save at the bottom of the page.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||marketsharer||1/9/14 5:10 PM|
@bluequoll, perhaps you could also supply the solution in your "best answer", that would save people a lot of reading and scrolling as long as the bug is not fixed yet...
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Balthazar Starnazza||1/9/14 5:27 PM|
Same here, and the font color is changed to white for a short while.
Chrome, Firefox and IE, all of them do it!
In Chrome I can search from the address bar and everything is fine, if I then type a new search in the google search box, the problem appears.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||nealem||1/9/14 5:58 PM|
Thanks for your patience while we investigate the issue.
Answering the following questions will help us better target the problem:
1) Can you reproduce this in "private browsing" for IE/Firefox users or "incognito" for Chrome users?
2) How would your rate your current internet connection? ie. fast, medium, slow?
3) Could you please let us know your domain? For example, google.de, google.co.uk, etc. (updated January 10)
Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. A fix is on the way!
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Balthazar Starnazza||1/9/14 6:13 PM|
The issue persists in incognito, I have tried clearing cache and cookies just in case.
My internet connection is fast.
I must add that the "disable instant search" fix works on all browsers. Upon re-enabling instant search the issue doesn't reoccur, but only if the search is performed in the same tab; a new tab (or a browser restart) will present the issue again.
Many thanks for the help
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Albert C.||1/9/14 6:58 PM|
Hi Fab - thanks for the info. We just put out a potential solution. Could you try again?
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Balthazar Starnazza||1/9/14 7:23 PM|
Unfortunately I have the same results as before, I tested with Chrome (with and without incognito), Firefox and IE.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Jo Scott||1/10/14 12:28 AM|
Speed currently around 3.5 / 3.8mps
it is the same whether we have "Private Browsing" or not
if I go to Firefox and use the Google input box top right hand corner, I get the correct screen and not the corrupted one
the problem does not appear on my Mac
Only the 2 windows 7; I/E laptops

|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Robert Gellin||1/10/14 2:25 AM|
Fixed it by disabling Instant Predictions. Thanks to all who proposed to do so.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Bryan Stevens||1/10/14 2:40 AM|
I have the same problem on Chrome and IE11. Using Bing works. Using Incognito works for one search. I've now reset to original settings to remove add-ins, etc which seems to work.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Henrietta Bruun||1/10/14 4:21 AM|
Same problem still in Sweden - if I enabled Google Instant Predictions.
1 - Google rearch works in IE and Firefox only when Google Instant Predictions is disabled. Chrome seems to work now! Both normal and incognito.
2 - Internet connection is fast = 6.9 Mbit/sec both yesterday and today. Connection thru wired router. Google search on the laptop over wireless conection, to same router, has been working all the long!
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Teresa Rose||1/10/14 4:33 AM|
I posted a similar question earlier. I'm using IE8 (i think) If I go to InPrivate browsing and type a search in the top of the screen address bar then it works as normal. I think I have a medium or fast speed but don't really know.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||John McIlhargey||1/10/14 9:15 AM|
This also happened to me and I had to use Yahoo to get here.This seems to have fixed the problem just now,
As a temporary workaround, try opening Search Settings, select • Never show Instant results, and click Save at the bottom of the page.And the answer to Nealeigh
Yes it is the same in "Private Browsing and my connection is fast, 62Mbps
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||sam||1/10/14 9:45 AM|
I never expected to get so much replies.
this problem persists in firefox private browsing, but at the moment i am not experiencing it on google chrome, in both incognito and normal mode, although im not sure if the problem will return as i was having the problem in chrome when i started this discussion. like i said earlier disabling instant prdiction seems to fix it.
my internet speed is 24Mbps.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||sam||1/10/14 9:47 AM|
oh, and im using google.co.uk
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Balthazar Starnazza||1/10/14 9:58 AM|
It seems to affect all the domains I try, .co.uk, .de and .it have the same issue.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||bosworthgeordie||1/10/14 11:41 AM|
I have the same problem from google.co.uk so have to use Bing.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Teresa Rose||1/10/14 3:38 PM|
In answer to your questions
1) Desktop PC. Newish computer but with XP on it.
2) I have no idea what these numbers mean, ran your test, 28.82 download and 1.95 upload.
3) Yes anything I type into the Google search box gets no actual results shown.
4) When I go to "inprivate browsing" there isn't a Google box just the Address bar and it works fine from there.
For the rest of the message I don't have a Chrome browser.
Hope this helps.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Marianne Wiil||1/10/14 5:01 PM|
Thanks - It worked :-)
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Henrik Laustsen||1/11/14 3:54 AM|
From Norway, same problem!
1. uses IE11 and Chrome, same problem on both.
2. 30Mbps internet speed, no speed issues.
3. Google.no, also tryed com and dk same there.
Please fix this!
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||JDPembridge||1/11/14 5:16 AM|
Same issue here for me. (Win7 64) When I search in Chrome address bar, or flipping between image results and web results, Google returns first page of results, however cannot progress to second page.
1)Problem exists in Chrome, IE and Firefox, in both incognito/private and normal
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Henrietta Bruun||1/11/14 7:55 AM|
IT IS WORKING IN SWEDEN AGAIN!!
THANK YOU ALL!!!
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Teresa Rose||1/11/14 8:34 AM|
It seems to be working again now.
Thank you everyone who worked and helped to resolve this.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||leofrog8||1/12/14 3:07 AM|
Via the "cog" symbol (top right of google screen)toggle safe searching on and off that displays results for me.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Alexander Rohlfs||1/13/14 1:11 AM|
unfortunately it is NOT resolved everywhere as i still have the Problem.
My connection is Fast, and the Domain is .de
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Albert C.||1/13/14 11:29 AM|
Hey folks -
Are any of you guys using the antivirus software, BullGuard?
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||sam||1/13/14 11:44 AM|
yes, I am using BullGuard, may I ask why?
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Henrietta Bruun||1/13/14 11:48 AM|
I am too using BullGuard - in Sweden - had problem antill day before yesterday.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||jot erbe||1/13/14 1:24 PM|
I have the same problem: google.de doesn´t display search results with FF, it displays correctly with .it .es and with Chrome and IE.
The problem persists even when disabled instant perdictions. In my case, it seems not to be the problem of white color font (nothing appears using Ctrl +a)
Win7 32, Firefox 26.0, Router on Cable
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Albert C.||1/13/14 2:17 PM|
Hey sam / Henrietta,
Could you try disabling BullGuard and see if the problem persists?
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||zZphilZz||1/13/14 5:59 PM|
I have got this problem too.
Seems as though your hunch is right Albert. Bullguard seems to be the culprit.
In Bullguard I made the following changes to the settings.
under "Settings->Real Time Antivirus->Browsing" untick "Google" where it says
This made Google searches work for me again.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Matthew Kucinskas||1/13/14 10:18 PM|
Update Bullguard and it fixed it for me.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Alexander Rohlfs||1/14/14 4:38 AM|
Yes Bullguard seems to be it, unchecked Google in the Options, and it works again
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Jaymzu||1/14/14 10:57 AM|
We'd appreciate it if the users experiencing this issue would contact BullGuard support as soon as humanly possible in order for us to get to the bottom of this.
Thanks a lot
Alex Balan / BullGuard
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Jaymzu||1/14/14 11:36 AM|
The issue has been fixed and delivered via update to all BullGuard users. Do note that some installations may require a reboot after the update is performed.
We apologise for any possible inconvenience and assure you that we're eager to fix any potential issues that may be discovered in the future just as promptly.
Note that this particular module, at its release date (admittedly quite a while ago) did undergo thorough QA but at that particular moment in time, this issue did not occur.
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Henrietta Bruun||1/14/14 12:02 PM|
How does it come that some of us BullGuard users got this problem fixed already days ago? For example my computer in southern Sweden hade no more problems for days, when somebody in Denmark had still problems yesterday, two days after mine was fixed??
|Re: I can't see any of my search results.||Jaymzu||1/14/14 12:12 PM|

The fix for all BullGuard v14 users was published Thursday (last week) with the rest (v12 and v13) following early morning Friday. As of then, everyone who updated and rebooted had their problem fixed.
It may very well be the case that some people (including myself) love their machine's uptime and while the update was most likely automatically applied, it didn't kick in because the system was not rebooted just yet.

Ok internet connection (20/1)
Same problem in IE/ Crome

The problem seems to be resolved.
I´m not a BullyGuard user.
Since yesterday and after updating Java Control Panel (version 7 update 51) everything seems to work correctly.
Before the update, FireFox crashed very often and the gooogle.de site didn´t display search reults.
