What the limit for header tags in one page ? Azharuddin 7/27/09 11:32 AM
Hello Group,

I got a doubt about the following thing. How many h1...h6 can be added in single page? when does google consider h1 tag optimization as spam ?

Thanks

You should only have 1 H1 tag on your page, otherwise Google gets confused as to which title is most important.  Other than that, as long as your page makes sense to the reader and is aimed at the reader, not just at search engines, you should be fine.

Each title tag should not have a length of  more then 85 characters (including spaces) and never to exceed 120 characters .

Why??  W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) guidelines states that the length of the title tag should, ideally, be 66 characters (including spaces) or less. Google truncates after 66 characters or the last complete full word. On the other hand Yahoo truncates after 120 characters
