|"Index status" for https:// site returns: " Data for https://mydomain.com/ is not available ..." ?||kn79754||8/12/12 12:10 PM|
I've set up my site @ Google Webmaster Tools.
My server listens at both:
http://mydomain.com => permanent redirect to https://mydomain.com
It says it's indexing with no errors, fetching sitemap.xml, rss.xml are OK, etc.
My linked Google Analytics account is also tracking hits correctly.
Everything seems to be working, except when I try to check "Index Status" for my domain @ https://mydomain.com. It returns:
Data for https://mydomain.com/ is not available. Please try a site with http:// protocol: http://mydomain.com/.
If I visit the "Index status" for the http:// protocol link, it shows me stats.
How do I get "Index Stats" to report correctly for my main site URL, https://mydomain.com?

The Index Status data is shared for the https:// and http:// versions of your site, so it's not possible to get just the data for the https:// part. To some extent, you may be able to get information about indexed URLs through your Sitemap files though.
