|Cannot Install SketchUp on alternate (not "C") drive.||haydentown||4/29/12 7:55 AM|
SketchUp Version: 8
I had SketchUp running fine but had to do a Wndows XP restore. After that SketchUp would not run. I uninstalled. My "C" drive is full, so I have another drive (internal) for programs, etc. When I attempt to install it always defaults to the "C" drive, even though I direct it to the alternate drive and folder. I click "Next" and land at the "C is full select another" dialog. I am not able to select another in that box so I go back to the first box that allows me to select and start all over, landing back at the "C drive is full" dialog.. Its just a circle of aggravation and futility.

I can't say what exactly is happening here, but generally it is a bad idea to have your OS installed on a partition that is full.

I can't get Google Drive to sync with anything but my C: drive as well. I think the issues are related. I simply don't want storage cluttering up the partition I use for running my OS. I got a small, fast drive for that. Chaps my hide.
