Hello guys,

I have Nexus 7 2013 3G (deb) version and running 4.4.2 (KOT49H)..and i still haven't received any 4.4.3 update yet..is there any problem? Because even 2012 LTE/3G have got 4.4.3 update..are you aware about this? Please help if there is any problem? Thank you..

I am wondering the same thing. If this has anything to do with Verizon, they need to drop Verizon support ASAP. This is a GSM/LTE device, so it is using open standards. None of that carrier certification garbage.

I agree that is a carrier is the issue forget them and release it. I live in Canada  a US carrier should not be delaying my update when it does to affect operation of my device.

This is answered in https://productforums.google.com/d/msg/nexus/B-tfSsWXN-c/ZDOkTBpcCSYJ by a Google Employee.

Google is still working on it. Don't worry, it is coming along :)
Re: No 4.4.3 for Nexus 7 2013 3G/LTE? rmkilc 6/9/14 10:46 AM
The "why" was not answered. If it has to do with Verizon certification, that is a huge problem that needs addressed.

Wow. It's been 10 days and still nothing. Not even a word as to what's going on.

The reason is very clear: At Google there are only some overpayed geeks. Instead of doing nothing which would be best for all, they do pretty shitty stuff. Just look at all other Google products nowadays how they ruin them. YouTube and Google+, now it's Chrome and soon they will crash Android. Never Google again, looking forward to leave them when I have the money...
And of course 4.4.3 won't fix the shitty touchscreen...

"Google is working on it" is NOT an answer.

Plus, if it is due to Verizon then the can **** off, I'm a T-Mobile customer.

I'm not from the USA so Version isn't even an option for me. What's wrong with giving the rest of the world it?

Hello, it seems you are not alone... I am for sure in the same club... As far as I have read in the Google forums we should keep on waiting and it will come. In a way it is better this way, I guess the last receivers of the OTA have better chances receiving a cleaner (bug free) OTA. Frankly the 4.4.2 has been quite stable with my device and I am not in ahurry at all, especially as 4.4.3 seems not resolving the highly annoying issue of not having the option to empty the trash emails folder with one command in the exchange emails app. (As one can do withe gmail app). Regards.

Turns out that the EMail app has been released as an update on the Play Store.

Too bad it requires 4.4.3!!!!

Re: No 4.4.3 for Nexus 7 2013 3G/LTE? aelfwyne 6/23/14 3:39 PM
Don't expect it anytime soon. Apparently Google baldfaced LIED to us about updates on this device.

This is, of course, not a completely new scandal. Jean-Baptiste Queru, aka JBQ, quit as head of the AOSP project last year over the exact same type of issue. Proprietary bickering was holding up the release of the binaries for the current "flagship" devices.

Google don't care. To Google, a few hundred thousand or a few million (however many LTE N7's have been sold) customers don't matter one bit. The principle that they'd promised updates on a timely basis and then are refusing to deliver don't matter one bit. The fact that they're outright ignoring any questions about why they've breached their promise doesn't bother them one bit.

Even I am waiting for the updates. And there has been a latest update too 4.4.4
Re: No 4.4.3 for Nexus 7 2013 3G/LTE? IOANNIS ANDROULAKIS 6/25/14 12:28 PM
You are right of course... I have the same opinion on  Google's strategy for customer support and relations. Invisible is a good word?

On the other hand my 4.4.2 run n7 2013, lte is a trouble free machine.... I was expecting some new features and improvements in the stock email app for example, but as I am reading on 4.4.3  or 4.4.4, there is nothing spectacular to be anxious receiving. So let them work, develop amd come back when ready to give us improvements and new features. Of course if one has functional issues of some sort this is another story...

Got this morning the 4.4.3-update for my N7 2013 LTE; now it WON'T connect to Vodafone NL anymore...

More people have the same problem, that it won't connect to the provider anymore?

He(Sebin) has the smallband version we need according to your earlier statement
Re: No 4.4.3 for Nexus 7 2013 3G/LTE? pborges 7/4/14 4:09 AM
No connection to Vodafone NL
Re: No 4.4.3 for Nexus 7 2013 3G/LTE? Cyrill Van De Water 7/4/14 4:13 AM
Check my Vodafone sim in another device and it functions.
Google should adress this issue by sending out a new update containing the right smallband version
Re: No 4.4.3 for Nexus 7 2013 3G/LTE? Sebin Varghese 7/4/14 6:10 AM
Can somebody explain why my baseband ver.is not changed and others does..??is it because of the country..?
Re: No 4.4.3 for Nexus 7 2013 3G/LTE? pborges 7/4/14 9:01 AM
The baseband version of Sebin and Henk seems to be the same from the snapshots... so that is not the difference.
The problem could be Vodafone Netherlands. Cyrril, the device you tested your simcard with, was it a 4G device?
Re: No 4.4.3 for Nexus 7 2013 3G/LTE? Henk van Loosbroek 7/4/14 9:07 AM
No: the baseband version of Sebin and mine are different:

Sebin has DEB-G,I' ve DEB-H

Re: No 4.4.3 for Nexus 7 2013 3G/LTE? Jack Löbker 7/5/14 3:14 PM
I've got the same problem Henk. Telephone assistance With Vodafone in NL does not end in a solution. The SIM-card does properly connect to the Vodafone network when placed in a Samsung Galaxy S4 (4G as well). The shop where I bought my N7-2013LTE (Conrad), suggested to go back to 4.4.2 and/or reset to factory-settings. But I don't Like both of them.
Do you have a beter solution yet?
Jack
Re: No 4.4.3 for Nexus 7 2013 3G/LTE? Johan Hijlkema 7/7/14 4:36 AM
Hi,

I have the same problem. Also with Vodafone. Already did a factory reset but it didn't fix the problem.
Does anyone know how to get to the previous version of 4.4.3 and does that solve the problem?
After factory reset I got the newest (4.4.3) version again.
How can we inform Google to solve this issue? Are they reading these articles?

Regards.
Johan

Same problem here, the device can't even scan for networks when the sim is inserted (error while scanning for networks) only when you take out the vodafone sim is it possible to scan for networks
Re: No 4.4.3 for Nexus 7 2013 3G/LTE? John Blom 7/7/14 10:04 AM
I have the same problem.
when i  insert my vodafone sim he can not scan for a network.
When I insert my lebara-sim I have a network from lebara and when  I  scan then there is a network from vodafone but  not when insert my vodafone-sim.
my baseband is DEB-H00_2.42.0_1204
Re: No 4.4.3 for Nexus 7 2013 3G/LTE? pborges 7/7/14 10:25 AM
Lebara uses the KPN network. This could mean that we really have a Vodafone related problem!

There is a post asking this issue. Posting in this thread would not give much notice to Google. I suggest going to this post and clicking on the Me too! button. Link: https://productforums.google.com/d/msg/nexus/0xoHvuHPFu0/PeVXGa0CFZUJ
No 4.4.3 for Nexus 7 2013 3G/LTE? IOANNIS ANDROULAKIS 7/7/14 2:43 PM
Good evening to all. Please obtain from Vodafone the settings for internet for NL and type them manually to the relative menu ACCESS POINT NAMES positions. This should fix the problem. There is an occasional issue from time to time in various countries I travel for business, but the manual insertion of settings works. I strongly doubt that a factory reset is the only way. If your house needs painting you do not demolish it....

I gave up on Vodafone and downgraded to 4.4.2 and hope to hear that things are corrected before upgrading when 4.4.4 OTA. is released.
