|Change Google News weather to centigrade?||metroben||1/11/13 12:04 AM|
I don't really use the US imperial system for measurement and prefer my temps in centigrade. How do I change this on my Google News page - it is not very apparent.
It lists the weather in fahrenheit. Mahalo!

Thanks for reporting. We are looking into it.

Looking into it?? How about looking into such (fundamental) issues next time, before implementation?! Seems like the only way to get rid of Fahrenheit is to log out and/or not use Google News...

Thanks! Look forward to it being implemented hopefully. ;)

Personally, I'd rather not see the weather app if it's not in Celsius. Thanks anyway.

Has this ever been resolved? I still want to know how to change to celsius.

srquixote: Apparently it has not been resolved (though you might be able to find a userscript that makes the conversion, if you dare).
I suspect the reason is that you and I are edge cases in that, even though our IP or browser reports to Google that we are in a location in which Fahrenheit is predominant, and in general it is helpful to improve most users' user experience by aggressively minimizing the number of things they can click and things they can customize.
Might I suggest programming either a Chrome extension or a userscript to achieve this? :)
