|Nexus S JellyBean: SMS activity presses back button!||Smiles192||8/19/12 9:52 AM|
Nexus S Jelly Bean 4.1.1 Automatic update:
Since the update sending or receiving SMS presses back button. Weird and intermittent behaviour but repeatable enough to demonstrate. Major pain in the butt!
If I send/receive SMS messages the "back" key presses it self in time with the RF activity. I tested this with a radio. in time with the beeps on the radio the button flashes. At the end of the transmission the button remains depressed for a second or so then returns to normal.
Any applications open during this close so it is a major pain because I can be in the middle of something and get a text, everything closes.
Uninstalled GO SMS and used the factory SMS tool. turned off LED notifications. Deleted all the SMS texts. All to no avail.
Is there any way to rewind JellyBean because at the moment, for me, the phone is unusable. New high maintenance girlfriend who texts me 100 times a day. can not use my phone for anything!

Yours is the first mention I've encountered of such a problem, Smiles192. If the issue is caused by what you expect it's caused by, I think it's likely something unique to your phone. I'd recommend checking in with Samsung about a repair or replacement.

I agree with you Smiles192. I'm facing the same issue. Back button auto presses itself very often after upgrading it to Jellybean. I was not experiencing this before with Gingerbread and ICS. Its very frustrating now as you are moved out to home screen in the middle of something just because of this auto press issue of back button.
Paul, have your say on this.

I'd still say check with Samsung about sending it in. If there is something going on with the hardware they'd probably have to physically examine it.
