On March 14, we let you know about a new set of data requirements for Product Search merchants. As part of these changes, we communicated that shipping and tax information would be required in your data feeds as of June 6.

However, based on feedback we’ve received from merchants, we are extending the deadline until September 1, allowing you more time to modify your data feeds. We are also permitting estimates for tax/shipping information. However, we recommend reviewing the submission options and submitting the most accurate information that you can, as this ensures the best experience for shoppers.

Here is a summary of what’s changing:

For Feeds Targeting the United States, United Kingdom, France and Germany: The June 6 deadline for providing shipping information has been extended to September 1.

For Feeds Targeting the United States: The June 6 deadline for providing tax information has been extended to September 1.

June 6th bump to top

An update email to the merchants who got the first email with the June 6th deadline would have been nice.  I worked my tail off getting my products ready by the end of May.  An email stating the new deadline and the reasons for it would have been appropriate IMO.

I do however appreciate the change to the heading for tax and shipping (the added "estimated" is appreciated) since the variables allowed in figuring the shipping rates on Google are limited compared to the shipping on my website.

I just hope that those of us who prepared appropriately for the June 6th deadline won't have our work wasted, and that non-complying feeds will no longer show up after the new deadline.

Cussing is hardly necessary.  And email is also free.

You are right TAT........
I lowered myself to the level of the button pushers and policy makers.......
I humbly apologize
I'm just an angry old man

Ronald,

I followed the linked information you provided in your message above but can not locate any instructions or information regarding how to create an "estimated" cost for shipping for my data feeds.

Could you point me toward some additional instruction for this process?

TIA,

GP

Has to be asked.... Why is it that 2 months after the September date a lot of the listings in Google shopping are still not displaying Shipping and still allowed to get away with it.....

Been wondering the same thing myself, Sligoman.

My items were disapproved for shipping information. If the deadline is extended to September why are my items being disapproved for shipping data

If the deadline is extended to September

this is a rather old thread.

the shipping and tax deadline was expanded
to september, of 2011; some eight-months ago.

My feeds were doing fine and they just dropped off all of a sudden on May 19th and it's telling me it's because my shipping information wasn't correct in the settings. I started handling the Google Base a few months ago. If the shipping data deadline was last year, how come my shopping feeds have been working fine and just dropped off about 2 weeks ago?

unfortunately, forum members cannot look into feed or account history.

while waiting for google a separate question might be posted with more details:

Celebird, I saw your posts about Etsy! I am very upset with the situation over there! Why are they allowed to be a respected partner, if they are unable to deliver us a product that automatically feeds?

I meet all of the requirements, yet, I have to ask them TO PUSH ME IN A FORUM?

Do you know how this can be brought to the attention of Google Administration so maybe they can work with their "respected" partner. Since, they do not answer my questions, or get my items onto Shopping in the Etsy Forums.

hi' all

i have had a google account setup for quite a while now - stoc...@googlemail.com

ive recently intergrated google checkout into my website but am having issues

1.i believe as its a .com account and not a .uk one, the tax settings within the merchant centre
Domestic Taxes: Using Tax Data Systems data (based on ZIP Code)

are all relating to us states and not uk so i cant set this up correctly...

can anyone help me sort this out?

2.Also i've set the Shipping methods within my google checkout account to £0.00 but when i checkout with google checkout, its appears with £1.00

can anyone help me sort this out?

i look forward to your comments!

regards

Richi

the google-checkout help forum should be here:
http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/checkout-merchant

this post related to tax and shipping for google-shopping feeds --
google-checkout and google-shopping tax and shipping are unconnected.
