|My copy of Google Maps for iOS gives bad directions.||akshaun||9/8/13 12:43 PM|
My wife and I both have an iPhone5, we have the same version of iOS (6.1.4), and are both using a fully updated Google Maps app. Mine gives bad bus directions and hers doesn't.
If I do the exact same search at the exact same time with the phones sitting right next to each other her phone gives reasonable suggestions (the 72 bus) and mine tells me to take the "all nighter bus" even though it is noon and the bus is literally not running (the 800). I've attached screenshots of both phones performing the same search at the same time. We get these results every time -- even when we adjust the time of travel (using both arrive-by and depart-at).
I've tried restarting, reinstalling, logging out of my google account, and clearing the app cache. Nothing seems convince the app that it is not midnight. Without a way to fix this I'm in big trouble navigating around the Bay Area (I just moved here and have no car).
What can I try to fix this?
Thanks for reading!

This is exactly the same issue, Shaun!
I've also tried reinstalling, using Google Maps while not signed into my Google account - I'm at a loss and it's also proving really difficult to get around...

Thanks both! I'm duplicating the other thread Natalie started to this one. I'll also send this along to the team!

Thanks a bunch Daniel!
Just in case it helps, I'm an iOS developer so I can help if you would like me to gather any data / logs / etc.
