Your video settings could not be saved: Cannot edit claims made by third parties - Youtube Error? keepabreast 7/9/12 12:53 PM
Hello all! Has anyone else had this issue when a video has 3rd party content flagged? We have a few videos that have this so it displays where you can buy the song below in the copy etc. However, we just uploaded a video and it got flagged for having copyrighted music. Usually it's fine but now it won't let us update the title, description, call-to-action, etc. Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks so much!

Yeah many people have been complaining. I emailed Youtube and they said they can only help me with editing video settings or info etc if my video has no copyright claim from a third party. It seems this is a new policy from Youtube. They said I can't edit or share videos that have a copyright claims from a third party. I said that is silly and illogical because how does editing video infos or settings affect copyrighted materials? It seems they are trying to avoid people changing the monetization settings under the edit function for videos that have a copyright claim. Some people think this is a bug but my email from Youtube suggests otherwise. All I want is for me to be able to enable or disable ratings or comments etc. That should not matter if my video uses copyrighted materials or not.

Ye same here I'm trying to put up a thumbnail and edit the title etc and I get the same thing, I hope they fix this and put it back to normal or lot's of videos aren't going to be fix and will remain with mistakes and issues which doesn't help anybody not even the artist who noticed a 10 sec track of his/her music being played and who gets to place ad's on your videos anyway
