|Hangout On Air stopped after only 1.5 hours, couldn't restart||knightopia||7/24/12 7:51 AM|
I was testing a Google Plus hangout on air last night, streaming live to my YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/sogomediatv). It was a back-to-back interview with two best-selling authors, each for an hour. The first hour went great, there was a short break, and then when the second author interview started, the hangout stopped after about 10 minutes and wouldn't restart.
Everything I've read stated that the max length for a hangout on air is 4 hours, so why did this one stop after only ~1.5 hours? And why were we unable to get it restarted??

4 hours is the max length for Hangouts On Air, so it shouldn't have stopped unless there was some kind of break in your Internet connection, perhaps?
When you took the short break between interviews, did you keep the HOA running?
I checked out your YouTube channel and I can't see any Hangout On Air recordings. Can you provide the link to the Google+ post about your Hangout On Air from your Google+ Profile?

thanks, Dori, yes, I kept the HOA going non-stop (until it stopped itself). I'm kind of suspecting it was an Internet connection issue also. Is it possible that the ISP has a maximum upload/bandwidth limit or something?
The slightly edited HOA (trimmed the beginning and the end off) is "unlisted" currently here:
