Hello Page Managers,

I've been hearing scattered reports of errors accepting emailed page manager invitations and users not receiving those emails at all! If this is happening to you, please post here, describe your question, and include the URL to the page.

I was invited to be a manger on a page today and when I try to accept the invitation I get an error message: Oops the system encountered a problem (#500). The page URL is  https://plus.google.com/106698972936565921289/posts.

Was invited to admin this page https://plus.google.com/106949277319131070628/. Every time I go through the process I get a #500 error after accepting.

Hi Jess, Michelle, and Scott,

Can you please test something for me? Please make sure that the person being invited to manage the page has that page in their circles. Then make sure that the page has added that person back. In other words, that the page and future manager are in each other's circles. Then remove the manager invitation using the "x" button on the Manager page. Resend the manager invitation to the same email address, and let me know if that solves the problem with the 500 error!

Tried your solution, made sure that I have the page in my circles and they have me in their circles, had the invitation resent and still received the 500 error.

Hi. I'm the owner of following page: https://plus.google.com/117962078939172720801
and I'm also having trouble inviting managers. When I try adding an e-mail for a manager, it appears in the pages manager list as "invited" but the manager never receives an e-mail.
I've also tried the invite to circles solution but nothing changes.

That solved the error for me. I was able to be successfully added as manager.

I have a similar issue but with a twist.   Was a page manager (+Canada) but then was accidentally removed. I got the email inviting me to be a manager and accept the terms but when accepting the invite it tells me that I'm already a manager of the page but it doesn't show up in my list, nor can I manage it from the actual page. Any ideas?

Previously this fix hadn't worked for me. We tried again today and when I accepted the terms & conditions this time, instead of a 500 error, I received a message that I was already a manager of the page, but the page doesn't show up on my list of managed pages.

Please ask the owner to remove you from manager group and send the request again.

Try clearing browser cache and cookies.

I am a Page Owner of Match Rider and would like to change to the ownership to another Page Manager.  Whenever I am managing my page and go to Settings>Managers> I receive this error message 500 and don't see any of the page managers.  I have logged into the account with a Manager login and can see all the the owners/managers without a problem.  I have cleared my cache, restarted my computer, tried with both Safari and Mozilla browsers.

Created a business page this morning 7AM (EST). Logged back on to send out a manager inviation but can't even access the page now. I wen through all the discussion forum posts and nothing is viable. At this point will need to create a new page and then will send out invite hopefully the next time. How do I get rid of this page so we don't look like complete idiots with two business pages. her'e the url https://plus.google.com/s/Books%20Again#103163804131793919165/posts.

I should mention I have tried this in Chrome, Firefox as well as IE all present the same 500 error

This is happening to us.. manager invitations not being recieved even though they show as sent.

If you're seeing 500 Errors, rest assured that it's an issue we're looking into on our end, trying to get to the bottom of it.

If you're not getting invitations at all, can you try a few things? First, ensure that the page has the invited manager in its circles. Second, ensure that these invitations are not being sent to spam folders. Then rescind the invitation and send it again. In the meantime, I'll look behind the scenes on our end to see what could be going on.

I created a business page under my personal gmail account. Now I invite my work email to be a manager, however I never receive the invite. I have tried several times.

I went under settings, and deleted my previous invitation and re-invited. seems like all is working for me now

Hi Toby,

I'm not having a 500 error, but still have a pending invitation for a manager that she's not receiving in her email. She is in a page's circle and we check that the email is not going to spam or affected by any sort of filter in GMail. I rescinded and invited her again two or three times while testing, but she still can't receive it. Another manager was invited and he was able to complete the process and become an active manager. I would appreciate your help on this issue. Thanks!

Whenever I attempt to transfer ownership to a different manager, I get the  Oops, (#500) error..retrying in 1s notification bar across the top of the Page

I just attempted doing this in IE and it worked.. I was using chrome previously.

Interesting, gothlips. I wonder whether clearing cache and cookies and then restarting the browser would solve the problem on Chrome. If you end up trying this again, would be curious to hear.

I did attempt doing that first. Believe me, I did NOT want to resort to IE.... Good-luck figuring out the bug :)

I've invited a colleague/client to become a manager of the G+ page I created for her company. She tells me that she got an invitation, but when she tried to accept it, her browser locked up, and then she got a "Virus Detected" message from her computer's antivirus program. 

I sent a new invitation to a different email address (the one she uses for Google Analytics) and she says she hasn't received it, even though the G+ page shows the invitation as having been sent.

Does my client need to have a Gmail address to become a manager of the G+ page? 
Or should the email address (not a Gmail one) associated with her existing Google account work?

 - Your client doesn't need to have a Gmail address, but she needs to create a Google+ profile with her email address. If she clicks on "Become a manager" link, she will be redirected to Google+ sign-up page.

 - She should try a good antivirus software. Please go through Gmail's security checklist.

That's what I thought; thanks for confirming.

Ah! I should have thought of that! This may solve our problems right here. Thanks. I'll let you know how it shakes out.

She has one, which is what alerted her to the virus trying to get into her computer. The concern was this: Why would accepting an invitation to manage a G+ page set off her anti-virus software, regardless of which address the invitation went to?

I have done. I'll check if the invite may have gone into a spam folder.

A friend has been trying to send an invite to me to be a manager on a g+ page he owns. He's sent the invite a handful of times and I've not received a single one. They're not in my spam box either. Getting a bit frustrating now.

Make sure your friend has entered correct email address of yours. Are you using Gmail as your primary email address? Have you checked your "All Mail" section in Gmail? Have you tried with your other email address?

I've sent out four invites to the +2FatDads page https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/100996000044378574013/

Two of the people received and accepted the invites without any problems. One of the dads accepts the invite but still always shows as invited but not accepted. One of the dads never gets the invite!

The one who never gets the invite is the most frustrating, since I need to transfer ownership to him!

Make sure you are entering correct email address while sending invitation. Have the person checked his/her spam, all mail section on the email account?

One of the dads accepts the invite but still always shows as invited but not accepted.
 - Can you remove the person and re-send the invitation? Is the person using Gmail as a primary email address of his/her Google+ profile?
