|changimg the name of Persian gulf to satisfy some delusional claims||maximazi||5/5/12 4:25 PM|
There is no place on earth which doesnot have any name on it, but recently we saw Google map and Google earth have used either no name on this part of the world or a false name as Ara-bian Gulf. historic facts say there is absolutely no historical justification for calling it anything but the "Persian Gulf" . A google representative told the BBC it did not name every place in the world. he said the company(Google) also did not want to take any political stance in responce to the iranian reaction.
I should remind these gentlemen that this case is not a ( political stance). According to the maps from more than 2000 years ago, even the maps which was drawn by Arabs, ( more than 1200 years ago ) this part of the world was named PERSIAN GULF and it is nothing but fact! Although that google's representative was not even able to provide any other example of a similar case of a missing landmark.
I called this decision and the supporter's of Ara-bian Gulf decision, delusional, because " a delusion is a belief held with strong conviction despite superior evidence to the contrary" .

Yes, this one keeps coming back, but for the record (not that it will change anybody's opinion):
