Since the css style is controled by "google.loader.themes.V2_DEFAULT" i cannot control the height of that box. even though i inegrated that cs style into our own css.

the input text area where the word "map" is, and "google custom search" is in the upper bar, overhangs(overflows) out of the input-box area on to the gray surrounding area.

any suggestions how to fix this? Thank you!!

wow I feel kinda dumb.  I was too scared to delede the "google.loader.themes.V2_DEFAULT" from the code that you paste where you want the search bar to appear, but i thought what the heck, and that solved it!

So you take the css that google allows you to download separately, place that into you own css, then unlink the connection to google's default css.

So remove the red below:

<div id="cse-search-form" style="width:100%; height: 50px;">Loading</div>
<script src="http://www.google.com/jsapi" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
  google.load('search', '1', {language : 'en', style : google.loader.themes.V2_DEFAULT});
  google.setOnLoadCallback(function() {
    var customSearchOptions = {};
    var orderByOptions = {};
    orderByOptions['keys'] = [{label: 'Relevance', key: ''},{label: 'Date', key: 'date'}];
    customSearchOptions['enableOrderBy'] = true;
    customSearchOptions['orderByOptions'] = orderByOptions;
    customSearchOptions['adoptions'] = {'layout': 'noTop'};
    var customSearchControl = new google.search.CustomSearchControl(
      '5784329764839206784392067843920', customSearchOptions);
    customSearchControl.setResultSetSize(google.search.Search.FILTERED_CSE_RESULTSET);
    var options = new google.search.DrawOptions();
    options.enableSearchboxOnly("http://website.com", "question");
    customSearchControl.draw('cse-search-form', options);
  }, true);
</script>

Hope that works for you too!

nevermind... That works but it defaults to the old theme. I would still like the new theme...v2. Boo :(
