embedded flash video in fullscreen mode google chrome linux on dual monitors ryjguy7 6/21/12 3:51 PM
Playback on youtube and vimeo in full screen mode, only sizes half the picture of the video on one screen.

1.  using Fedora 14 linux x86_64
2.  using google-chrome-stable-19.0.1084.56-140965.x86_64 linux or google chrome 20.0.1132.34 x86_64 beta linux
3.  using  flash-plugin-11.2.202.236-release.x86_64
4.  using NVIDIA driver version 295.53 x86_64 linux in twin view mode

Seems video sizing is broken in google chrome.
Anyone have this issue, or know how to fix it?

Is it a bug in current versions of google chrome for linux?

same problem here.  ubuntu 10.04, problem started with  20.0.1132.47, and is not a problem in firefox.  The problem is both with flash and with html5 videos.

I'm having exactly the same issue.
I've had to disable my second monitor in order to continue browsing.

Linux Ubuntu 12.04
Chrome Version 20.0.1132.47
AMD Catalyst version 11.11

That is exactly what I have as well. It does work in Firefox, so I'll just have to use 2 browsers for a while.

same here... Ubuntu 11.04
Re: embedded flash video in fullscreen mode google chrome linux on dual monitors MalTOmeal3 7/9/12 4:16 PM
Same issue for Chrome 20.0.1132.47
Ubuntu 12.04 x64

And with Firefox 13.0.1 it does a small "full screen" with a huge black boarder.

Previously I had the same issue with Chrome when I was using Ubuntu 11.10 that I am having now with Firefox on Ubuntu 12.04

Yes, I am experiencing this also, along with an error when accessing 'Display' in Gnome 2.x 'randr extension is not present'. Don't know if it's related.

Firefox works fine. I am using proprietary Nvidia drivers and xinerama.

Here's the solution: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=282146

Second post - works great. Just turn of flash plugin in "about:plugins".

Re: embedded flash video in fullscreen mode google chrome linux on dual monitors ryjguy7 7/12/12 3:35 PM
Cheers! It's usually something simple . . .

I verify that this did fixed my issue on Fedora 14.
When I disabled the pepper flash, flash crashed a couple of times, but now it works great.

Note:  click on the detail button on the upper right hand side of the browser
in chrome://plugins window to see the disable/enable of the flash pepper plugin

Thanks, again

Thank you. Worked here as well, and posted instructions to others on Ubuntu Forums.

Same issue here in Chrome on Ubuntu. Firefox works nice.

Disabling the embedded flash plugin isn't a solution! Maybe a workaround, but not a solution to that bug.
