Hi I'm currently having some issues with Google Chrome where a webpage or a video on Youtube would stop loading randomly. Every other computer on my internet works fine with Google Chrome. My current OS is Windows 7 64 bit.
I've tried these methods with no luck:
1. Reinstalling Google Chrome and updating.
2. Clearing all browsing data.
3. Restarting my computer.
4. Every other browser worked okay.
5. Disabling all extensions.
6. Scanning my entire computer with Webroot, Malwarebytes, and Adwcleaner.
7. Browsing in incognito mode.

Welcome to the forum!
I can suggest you some methods and follow these:
Install and run the Chrome Cleanup Tool
Try removing the extensions from chrome://extensions
Uninstall any unwanted programs from your computer: (Control Panel > Uninstall program)
Also try Resetting your browser settings.
Turn off hardware acceleration by going to Settings > Advanced Settings > Under 'System' uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
Does the same issue also occur when you create a new Chrome browser profile?
Also from plugins page (chrome://plugins) try disabling one by one and then enabling one by one. Does it shows anything?
If you're unlucky with that all, try the below:
Try uninstalling Chrome and also delete all the user files from C: drive (Backup your bookmarks).
C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome and
C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome or the entire Google folder.
Run a registry clean and a full clean using CCleaner.
Restart your PC. Download the alternate Chrome installer (Stable, 32bit) and install it. (As Admin)
Restart your PC again.
If you're unlucky with the alternate installer, then try Chrome Canary.

Before we begin, please make sure that your plugins on Chrome are up to date by using steps from this help article. Having done that, if the issue still persists, please give these steps a try:
Uncheck Use hardware acceleration (Menu> Settings> Show Advanced Settings > System menu).
Try resetting the Chrome browser to see if that helps.
Also, creating a new user profile on your Chrome can be helpful.
If the issue persists, download and run Chrome Canary. It is the cutting edge developer version of Chrome that can be installed alongside Stable Chrome. It's possible the problem won't exist on a future version.

If you haven't already, please try to restart your device to see if that helps. If that doesn't, please check if the issue persists on a different device. If not, I'd suggest you run your device in safe mode to see if that makes a difference.

Yeah my PC is still encountering problems. Youtube videos stop loading randomly for a period of time and webpages as well. I tried Google Canary but the problem still persists on that too. I've tried running Google Chrome without any extensions with no luck and I restarted my PC multiple times and the problem still persists sadly. Any other suggestions would be appreciated, thank you for your help Johnny.

Do you have flash installed?
Is Flash enabled in chrome://plugins?
Please install Chrome 32-bit by following what I said earlier.
Delete all files connected to Chrome. Everything.
Do a cleanup and restart PC and again do cleanup using CCleaner.
Here's how to download 32-bit version:
- Go to this link: https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html?system=true&standalone=1
- Click on Download Chrome for another platform
- Then select Windows 10/8.1/8/7 32-bit

No worries Akash! Yes I have Adobe Flash installed and enabled on Google Chrome. I tried a fresh install and used CCleaner and installed the 32 bit version of Chrome without any luck. Any other suggestions would be appreciated and thank you for your efforts! :)
I'll try to record when it happens because it's very random. For example if I'm googling something the website would infinitely load for 30 seconds and sometimes even longer. I could be checking my email, reading the news, but it'll still happen. Also for videos it just infinitely loads mainly on Youtube.

Can you please navigate in the address bar to: chrome://flags#automatic-tab-discarding then disable the flag to see if that helps? Also, can you please share results from trying Chrome Canary?

As requested I've made a video recording of the issue, you'll notice in the video that metacafe is working fine on chrome while youtube isn't, also I've tried everything that was mentioned on this post and other posts in the forum, the only step I didn't do which is installing canary which I am not comfortable with.

Same issue happened with canary although I have no idea what's the difference between the normal chrome and canary, still I tried and didn't work, below you can find the video for the test.
Also please note that sometimes the video doesn't even show a start image, it starts with the circling thingy.

I'm using Google Chrome more often to see if I can encounter the problem again for I believe it's been a day since it has happened after disabling the flag in the chrome://flags#automatic-tab-discarding
Okay I spoke too soon, the problem came back while watching youtube. It just keeps loading and eventually plays, no one else is using my internet at the moment, I'm on the internet via ethernet, all wireless devices are disable. I'm not sure what to do.
Nothing changed for me, I tried to keep all the quality settings at 144 while I am used to setting it to 1080 60fps with no problem but still nothing works.

If you're able to repro, please try grabbing chrome://media-internals for the YouTube player that crashed. Also try reporting feedback to YouTube through reporting UI. It's possible this is player issue. Does this happen on all sites or just YT?

This looks like a player issue, though could be an MSE bug; from the log it's not appending the correct data to trigger the next step of initialization.You should report feedback on the YouTube video page itself so that YouTube gets the correct logs.
please also reference this bug (crbug.com/625440) in the feedback you report on the YouTube video page itself - it'll help the YT team link that feedback appropriately for faster investigation in case this isn't a YT issue, but rather a Chromium MSE implementation issue.
This is a problem with Google Global Cache. The best support channel for this problem is a particular Reddit thread. We feel a little bit bad about that, but you'll honestly get better support there than any official channel.

Hello, Thanks to everyone for their support to try and fix this issue, but I've decided to move on and ditch chrome and just use other browsers, It's a loss for me since I was so comfortable with chrome but this has taken so much time and a massive amount of frustration.
I hope someday the chrome/youtube teams will be able to find a solution for this issue.

The solution was: disabling QUIC? chrome://flags/#enable-quic
Indeed, this fixed it for me as well. First time in more than a month I can view Youtube on Chrome.
