Problem with chrome uninstall questions. jvanroekel 4/26/12 5:12 AM
I install chrome every six months or so to see if they have fixed the problems that make it un-usable for me.  After uninstalling it brings up a questionnaire about why you have uninstalled.

The click-boxes do not function correctly on that page (in either Firefox or IE, under Vista or XP pro, and, I assume, under anything else) If you click in the box, nothing happens, you can only check a box if you click on the single-pixel-wide lower edge.

This is a great way to avoid negative feedback from people trying to help you improve a flawed product.  Well done folks.

Nope, once uninstall is complete, it will open a browser window in the default browser with the questionnaire.  Since the window only opens after chrome is uninstalled, by definition it pretty much only opens in other browsers.

I don't mean to disregard your statement here...but when I had to uninstall Chrome (like, 4 or something) to re-update manually all the checkboxes worked fine (Internet Explorer: Windows XP SP3).

Since this isn't issue/troubleshoot type commentary, however, perhaps you can move it to another Google Chrome forum that is here, or one in general. I might try uninstalling Chrome too and see what happens to see if things have changed.

This should tell you everything you need.
It is a pity that screenshot doesn't show the cursor, or you could actually see me hovering over a box.
The round dots work fine, but when you roll over one of the square ones, your cursor turns into the "text editing" icon rather than the "Finger" icon.  When you roll over the frame, it turns into the "Finger" icon, and then you can press.

Interesting update.
I just pasted:
http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/request.py?hl=en&os=5.1.2600&contact_type=uninstall2&rd=1&crversion=18.0.1025.162
into Firefox on the same machine and the boxes worked correctly on that (oddly they didn't do that at home last time I tried, so perhaps someone is paying attention and fixing things.)
Anyhow, Looks like the problem is just in IE now.  Not surprising, IE sucks, but there you go.  Doesn't mean it shouldn't be supported.
