|Flash keyboard input is garbled in Chrome||JimLS||4/27/12 6:34 AM|
Running Chrome 18.0.1025.162 m on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202 Version 11,2,202,229.
With the Uclick Sudoku player and crossword player, the first character typed is correct. After that all characters are garbled.
It works fine in Internet Explorer.

Found the problem. It was with a component of Comcast's Constant Guard that is supposed to prevent keystroke logging. Apparently this problem is known to Comcast, but they don't bother to tell you about it when they are encouraging you to install Constant Guard.
In addition to Chrome, it also affects some other browsers (not Firefox or IE) and some games.
There is no fix except to uninstall all of Constant Guard or the component that prevents keystroke logging.
After uninstalling Constant Guard, Chrome is working fine. It also seems to be working a lot faster.
