This would be so sick.  I use Sessions Manager to save and reload many windows of tabs, and all the time I am selecting tabs to move one by one...  I wish I didn't have to save my sessions individually I wish it would auto save the last state.  One day I will join the mozilla development team and the world we be a better place.

Chrome already allows to open last open tabs/session on startup!

But I agree: selecting multiple tabs with "shift" or "ctrl" and then dragging them to an other window would be an important feature.

This would make life easier. It's only intuitive that one should be able to do this with the CTRL button. That's what CTRL-select does: it CTRL-selects - accept, apparently, when it comes to tabs.

If I've got 50 tabs open (god help me), it stands to reason I'll want to treat different numbers of them as groups.

Tabs of tabs would be pretty helpful too.

you can seelct multiple tabs right now in 13.0.782.107 m (stable)
click a tab
hold Ctrl and click a couple more, then try dragging them off to a new window.

The bad thing is that there is not much (if any) feedback that you have selected multiple tabs.

there is also a flag (option) available if you go to about:flags called Add grouping to tab context menu "Adds items to the tab context menu for grouping tabs."

Doesn't appear to work yet in my version - 13.0.782.112 linux. It really would be very useful. CTRL is right on the button.

cave_troll - I had a closer look at your suggestion.

I went to about:flags as you suggested. But "Add grouping to tab context menu" is not there.

Have a missed the window? Or can I find the option elsewhere?

on mine its about 10 sections up from the bottom.

The grouping should still work, but its not very obvious to see. The options from the flag just give you more things in the context menu
