....instead of relying on us suckers to share messages with each other about everything that goes wrong with their products.

Of course they can. We pay for Google's products too, in all the advertising we get targetted at us. You think Google doesn't need us? I'm no fan of Microsoft, but the info they provide on their website is much more comprehensive. We're "Only a pawn in their game."

you don't pay very much for google's products.
someone one worked out how much it would cost if something like 0.01% of users wanted help each requiring 20 mins of help .. something like that... its a lot of man hours required.

I'm  a customer. I'm entitled to proper, immediate and effective customer service.

what problem are you actually having?
Re: It'd be helpful, decent and proper if Google provided full support to its users RudyMentz 8/12/12 10:29 PM
My problem is in fact now resolved, no thanks to any advice from Google or from this website. I'm not a computer geek; I don't have time to be and I shouldn't have to be. Google are, supposedly, entreprenuers. They've found it in themselves to make their products financially viable. They should be able to find it in themselves to make their customer service viable. I can't imagine it would be very difficult at all. It ain't rocket science. I am a customer, not a patsy: I do not accept that corporations have the right to dump on their customers.

"I'm  a customer. I'm entitled to proper, immediate and effective customer service."

In the case of google, you are simply another user. Not a consumer, nor a customer. You in fact are not paying ANYTHING for chrome, or the google search engine. Targetted advertising is how google gets paid for its service as a reliable search engine, none of which comes from you. Indeed you are needed, being the user of the product and all. But, no time is taken from you, no form of payment is made by you at all. So there is no reason why you should have a false sense of entitlement for an additional service when the product given is 100% free to you unless you choose to buy anything from the advertisements.

If you believe any of that, you are passive, supine and gullible: a willing "pawn in their game." More fool you.
