I'm getting spots when I try to watch videos in full screen on Youtube--and it only happens on Youtube.  I've checked out other video websites like Wimp, Vimeo, Dailymotion, and Liveleak, and the issue doesn't happen on any of them.

I'm currently using Ubuntu 12.04 with Chrome version 20.0.1132.47.  I disabled hardware acceleration since I know that's been the cause in the past (I have an Intel GM965 on this), and even added "OverrideGPUValidation = 1" to /etc/adobe/mms.cfg as recommended on one site ( http://www.spotht.com/2010/06/fix-fullscreen-bug-for-flash-videos-in.html ), even though that seemed pointless to me since I disabled hardware acceleration anyway.

I've got a screenshot of what I'm talking about here: http://i.imgur.com/WmJxll.png

Does anyone have any idea of what's going on here, or how to fix it?

I should also note that this does not happen with HTML5/Webm videos.

Ok, I just figured out the problem is due to PPAPI.  I just disabled it, and the spots went away.

How do you disable it?

Type chrome://plugins in the address bar. Hit enter. Click on the + sign to show details. Then disable the Pepper one and ensure that any other Flash plugin listed is enabled.
