Synchronizing My "Home" Calendar on Google with Apple's iCal (v5.x) Takes a Long Time Tinkering_Tony 4/6/12 7:13 PM
Recently (within the last couple of months), when I am in Apple's iCal and tell it to "Refresh All", four of my five Google calendars sync up in very little time.  However, one (called my "Home" calendar) is taking an inordinate amount of time to sync up.  The Apple busy icon spins and spins for several minutes (10-15 minutes) but eventually it does finally end and my Home calendar on Google and iCal appear to sync ok.

My Home calendar is one of 4 "delegate" calendars (per iCal preferences setup).  The other 3 delegate calendars synch up very quickly.  My main (non-delegate) calendar also synchs up very quickly.  My Home (delegate) calendar is the only one taking a huge amount of time to synch up.  This Home calendar contains the most entries (largest amount of data) but only recently has it begun to take so long to synch up.  It doesn't seem to matter how many changes I've made to my corresponding Google Home calendar.  The sync with the corresponding iCal Home calendar takes an inordinately long time whether I've made only a few changes to the Google Home calendar or many changes.

Anybody else experiencing this puzzling long time to sync one of their "delegate" calendars in iCal with Goggle?

This is a big problem for me.  I accidentally set my default calendar in the settings to "Home" calendar, and now when I try to go to google calendar in a browser and print my monthly schedule my meetings are not showing up!  This is highly frustrating!  I've tried to go to settings in both google settings and my phone settings but can't seem to get them to sync at all....It sounds like you are able to get them to sync at least, I can't even get that!  I wish there was a way to export my calendar off my phone then I could import it into google cal.
