| Re: Can I merge two individual Google Calendars? How? | mrdeadhead | 10/03/10 07:38 | I want to merge the public US Holidays Calendar (from the suggested calendars list) with my calendar of birthdays and other important anniversaries and such so I have one universal list, is there any way I can do that without giving the editor of the public list access to my calendars? also, if I'm sharing calendars between accounts, can I make just one universal calendar as the primary one, so they both show up on the same calendar regardless of which account I edited it under?i know i can share individual calendars, but i can't delete or change the primary one for either account. |

| Re: Can I merge two individual Google Calendars? How? | elorimor | 06/05/10 11:36 | The last post helped a bit, but I found it to be outdated. Here's what I did: Lets call the two calendars you want to merge "Calendar1" and "Calendar2": 1) Go to calendar Settings. 2) Click on "Export Calendars" 3) Save the ".zip" file on your desktop 4) Extract all the files 5) Go to calendar Settings 6) Click on "Import Calendars" 7) In the pop-up window under "Browse:" select the file from the extracted files of Calendar1 8) In the pop-up window, under "Calendar:" select Calendar2 9) In the pop-up window, click "Import" 10) You are done! the calendar I was importing had ~220 events, and took ~30 seconds to import. Once the calendar successfully imports, you can delete Calendar1, since you merged the events into Calendar2. Hope this helps. |

| Re: Can I merge two individual Google Calendars? How? | durecu | 21/10/10 02:06 | Elorimor posting is great but a Google Lab making this easily would be better |
| Re: Can I merge two individual Google Calendars? How? | xdurecu | 21/10/10 03:20 | In fact Elimor's way didn't work for me: In a few seconds the import went from 0 to 100%, then the screen froze, became gray, with a small pop-up 'import calendar' with an 'x'. The import didn't succeed. |
| Re: Can I merge two individual Google Calendars? How? | icerunner_origin | 28/01/11 06:58 | If you own all the calendars you want to merge then I've found that this works. From the drop-down on the right of each calendar you want to share do the following: * Go to calendar settings * Scroll down to 'Private address:' and click on the 'HTML' button. * Copy the part of the web address between src= and the next & e.g. If the address is https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=ovmffl1nhfjnbj3898vhsdivngl60@group.calendar.google.com&ctz=Europe/London&pvttk=f34b99668yvf6g3bjh489h,ef066d5414&gsessionid=OK then the bit you want to copy is ovmffl1nhfjnbj3898vhsdivngl60@group.calendar.google.com * Also make a note of the timezone (bit after &ctz= ) * Repeat for all calendars you want to merge Now, type into the address bar of your browser: http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?title=[TITLEOFCALENDAR]&src=[ADDRESS OF FIRST CALENDAR]&src=[ADDRESS OF SECOND CALENDAR]&ctz=[TIMEZONE] Repeat the src=[CALENDAR ADDRESS]& for any additional calendars and you should have a link you can now email that will display merged events from all the calendars. |
| Re: Can I merge two individual Google Calendars? How? | S3rvant | 27/04/11 13:57 | @elorimor You can skip the export step. Simply copy the ICAL link from the calendar that has the events and when you click the browse button in the popup you can paste the address in instead of using a file. Just tested this with a couple calendars and worked great. |
| Re: Can I merge two individual Google Calendars? How? | jeroenwilms | 21/05/12 09:25 | There is still no Google solution for this problem as far as I can find. Does anybody here know a solution to this problem by now? Please respond. I am keen on thinking along in developing a solution for this problem. |
| Re: Can I merge two individual Google Calendars? How? | CDRMarcus | 21/01/15 20:32 | Wow this thread's been here since 2009. I'm still hoping for a built-in solution for this. Preferably one that will even preserve the events' colors when I merge them. That's the reason I have so many calendars anyway -- because I wanted everything color-coded back when each calendar could only support 1 color. |
