|Can you print Calendar so it is color-coded? When I print, it consolidates my appointments and doesn't color code.||gmgreen18||8/29/11 7:48 AM|
Explain your issue in full detail here:
When I organize my calendar, I color code it to distinguish appointments from deadlines. I also like that the calendar separates each event into its own bubble. But it does not print the calendar in the same format. It prints everything in one block of times without color coding. It's driving me crazy - why spend all this time formatting my calendar if it won't print the same? Can I get it to print so that it looks exactly how it does on my screen?

Apparently the answer remains no. I also find this terribly frustrating. How hard could it be to just program it to print as we see it on the screen???

Unfortunately, this is still not available. I know I had a link come up the other day asking what I thought of their calendar. I would encourage anyone who gets this to make mention of this issue. Maybe if we scream about it enough, they will fix it. In the meantime, you can use a trial version of wincalendar (http://www.wincalendar.com/). It will sync with your Google calendar. However, it's only good for a few uses without actually buying the program and it won't import exactly unless you purchase a license, so you still have to do some editing which is annoying. And, in my opinion, it is waaaaaay overpriced. I hope Google comes through for us soon. . .

I'm having the same problem. The color coding is not getting reflected in the hard copy print. So frustrating as my family calendar is color coded according to child. This is a huge design oversight on Google's part. Where can we complain so it gets some attention?

It's time to fix this. I would like to see the calendar printable in color. Even the "save as" option is only black and white. Adobe can pick up colors on every other thing I try to print from the web - what the hell did Google do to make this imposible. I have gotten by with print screen when absolutely necessary. How hard can this be?

Very frustrating when you've spent hours color coding! Although, I was able to print a calendar with the events in different colors by saving it as a pdf first, but it still didn't print background colors. :( Hope Google fixes this!

If you are on MAC use Safari to print tour Safari > File > Print. The colors print that way.
