|Transferred a blog to another email, now it's gone||Ithacaradio||5/15/12 12:12 PM|
I have a kind of strange situation. I had a conflict with google accounts because I had the same email subscribed independently to different services. (It's a long story, but the problem happened when our organization switched to Gmail and the new Gmail account was created independently with the same name). In any case, I changed the email address for the blog owner so it wouldn't conflict anymore, and I added the additional email as an administrator. Since they should have been one account in the first place, I deleted the original account.
I had assumed that since there was another account administrator, deleting one of the poster's account would not delete the whole blog. Am I mistaken in that? Is there just one "primary" account holder that controls the blog?
I do have a backup of all the posts, so I'm not super worried. But, It would be a shame to lose the account name (ithacaradio.blogspot.com) since it won't let me start a blog with the same name and re-import my backup.
Any suggestions? I have filed an account recovery request with google to see if that will help recover the blog. Any other ideas?
Thanks a bunch,

Hokay, well now it looks like the blog was accidentally removed for "TOS violations," and now it's popping back up in the dashboard. So at least I know that deleting that email was not the culprit. Hopefully I can clear the blog and get it restored. I'll follow the instructions other people have posted.
