Account transitioned and gtempaccount account deleted; now can't remove old profile m_onethousand 11/29/11 6:16 PM
My account was transitioned some time in July, and I have since deleted the gtempaccount.com account that was created from the transition.

I had assumed that deleting the gtempaccount account would also delete my Google Profile and other information associated with it, but I was wrong. Now I have a Google+ profile that I'm unable to delete because it is somehow still associated with my deleted gtempaccount.com address. Normally I'd just let it be, but this profile has my name and photo attached to it and it's causing substantial confusion for people who are searching for me. I am no longer able to login and delete the profile because my @gtempaccount.com login no longer exists.

Worse still, I am unable to use Google's account recovery form to re-activate the gtempaccount account, because I apparently don't have enough details to "prove" that the account was mine in the first place.  (A claim I find particularly absurd, since I know the original password, and the date I last accessed the account. Plus, and the gtempaccount.com account I'm trying to recover is derived from the same email address that I'm providing. What more do I need to provide?)

How do I request the deletion of this old profile that I can no longer access? I've been sent in circles trying to get in touch with anyone that can help. I just want my old account *completely* deleted, including the Google+ profile associated with it.

I'm having the same issue.  Does anyone have a solution?

If you have delete the account  with  gtempaccount.com  then that account is now lost and all the data in that account is gone.can not be recover you should had rename that personal account to a gmail.com account then all your data would been safe

from the help page

after you create new Google Apps users with conflicting accounts, they will be prompted to rename their Google Accounts upon next sign-in. We strongly recommend that you do not delete any conflicting accounts. All data within the Google Account will remain in the account when it is renamed. Please note that users have full control over the rename process; administrators do not participate in this process.

Google Apps email addresses which were added as alternate email addresses of personal accounts will simply be removed from the personal accounts and users will see notification of this change the next time they sign-in.

I'm having a similar issue with Google Code, which I use to report Android issues -- though less critical than the OP's issue, it's still annoying.

I keep getting emails addressed to gtempaccount.com account from issues that I "starred" before the conversion. Back whenever the changeover occurred, I deleted the temp account, thinking that it would unsubscribe me from "starred" threads, but nope. Emails keep coming, and there's no way to stop them.

This is the first place I've seen that will allow me to even report the issue (the help topics lead to dead ends).

This doesn't seem to be true -- while the account may be gone, a lot of data is still there; only access to it is removed. I would very much like all the data in my old temp account to be deleted.

BTW, in my case, I already have all the "personal" gmail.com accounts I need. It didn't let me use any of those, so next best thing for me is to just delete all the account info. No sense in keeping an email address (with an extraneous character after it) that I'll never use ever again.

I think maybe an admin or something may have to manually do things, but I can't find where to get any non-automated help on this issue.

see this link  http://support.google.com/a/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=185186 on how to resolve the conflict accounts

Thanks for the link, but that's the standard help page for temporary accounts and it contains exactly what you said -- how to resolve conflict accounts. It doesn't address how to manage leftover data under deleted accounts -- that's the problem.

once accounts been deleted then all data in the deleted accounts are also deleted.

While I appreciate the response, I don't believe you're helping much by reiterating what is SUPPOSED to happen. In my case, and OP's, that is obviously not the case, hence why we're looking for answers.

I have a similar problem - a deleted account that is clearly not actually deleted. I have a new gmail account, but apps on my phone want me to sign in via the old account. I can't though - I have the password, but of course, the account is deleted! So I can't update apps. How do I fix this?
