We're excited to hear the interest and excitement for discussing Google's Music Beta. The Cloud Lounge is intended to be a place to discuss issues related to Google Apps and as Google Music is not a part of this product offering, this isn't a great place to channel your feedback.

That doesn't really look like a contact form. Further, such a form would not allow users to help one another. Sure seems like Google Music needs it's own area. Especially going live.

Agreed. I've submitted several feedbacks and a few that were questions just to see if anyone would get back to me and no one did, which makes me assume that it's just a generic feedback submitter...which is what I EXCPECTED, it's just not very useful for TWO-way communication, and I imagine there a going to be a LOT of people in the coming days that want to ask questions about and discuss Google Music and I'm not sure "The Cloud Lounge" is going to cut it.

Not only is there a contact form as one would expect, but there is also the opportunity to speak to someone live over the phone, which is beyond my expectations.

I might be misunderstanding what you meant, but have you considered that they might not have responded because you weren't really asking anything you wanted answered and instead, in your words, were "[just seeing] if anyone would get back to [you]"?
Perhaps this isn't the way things always go, but here's what happened when I submitted a question that actually had meaning to me (unless the time-zone info is off message headers, I calculate the response time as 40 minute):

I don't see any difference between Music Beta and Music on the GUI front; not that Beta wasn't impressive. Anyway, I'm not on Android, and at the same time would like to be able to give feedback. As a sidenote, a premium, improved version of Music beta would be a more enticing 24.99 service than the icloud (or even a $29.99). While we're on the subject, how about an amazing Google visualizer...?

what if I don't want to talk on the phone? still no other way to give feedback
The particular issue I'd like somebody to listen about: "Editing album info" does not work for one of my albums. When I click on "Edit album info", nothing happens. It works fine for other albums. Really strange. I tried to post the question on some page I was lead to from google music's help page. it looks like nobody is reading

There used to be a way to submit a big or feature request when the service was in beta. it looks like that has disappeared.

I tried to download a "free" song to see how Google Music works. I think it downloaded, but have no idea where it went. Bad instructions. Not a good user experience.
