Problem Description: A client has recently subscribed to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, hosted which has an Outlook connector. Since doing this, they are having intermittent issues with Outlook disconnecting. It doesn't show offline but when an email is sent, it never arrive at its destination. Additionally, emails cannot be received. So it's offline but it doesn't realize it's offline, therefore sends the mail anyways. We had absolutely no problem until we installed the Outlook Connector for Dynamics.
Steps to Reproduce: Install both Dynamics CRM connector and Google Apps Sync.

Having exactly the same problem myself. Emails disappearing, no errors. Looks like the two things are incompatible! Nightmare as I need both.

We are seeing the same issue. Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4 Outlook connector and Google Apps Sync. From time to time messages that are sent appear in the outlook sent items folder (as if they went out) but they are never delivered and never show up in Gmail's sent items. The only workaround we have found so far is to set up Outlook to connect to Gmail using POP or IMAP rather than apps sync but these are both terrible solutions. IMAP doesn't allow CRM to track e-mail, and POP doesn't get along well with Gmail labels. Some versions of Apps Sync seem to be more problematic than others. Has anyone found a better fix or workaround?

We asked Google about this and they said that the Google Apps Sync tool is not designed to work in offline mode. Apparently they disabled this ages ago due to other issues and have no intention of turning it back on.
In the end we went with Exchange Online via Office 365 - same price but native integration with Outlook of course.

That is an interesting option and valuable information. Thank you for posting back.

Same thing here. Dynamics 2011 & Google Apps Sync. I did take support routes to both Microsoft & Google and pretty much was told they are not compatible. We have around 45 CRM users all using Google Apps Sync. The strange thing is we have a mix of XP / 7 Users but the problem only plagues a small group of our users. Very strange and equally frustrating as when we purchased the CRM service we were told it would be 100% compatible with our email platform and were currently using Google Apps Sync for Outlook. Has there been any headway on this? Just curious.
