|Content Experiments do not track visits even though Google Analytics sees visits to the variants||Shaun Y.||7/31/12 10:33 AM|
I have attempted to run several content experiments that result in no 'visits' being tracked to the pages. I have confirmed via a custom report that the variants actually do receive visits as I configured each experiment to maintain the actual URL of each variant in my reports.
The pages in question:
I can provide screenshots that show no visits on the experiment but showing traffic in my custom report. I have not posted them here as they contain sensitive information. Alternatively, a support rep could just take a look at the numbers we're seeing in the two reports.
Using the Google Analytics Debugger Chrome add-on, it appears as if no event is being sent related to the Content Experiment when I visit the URL being tested. I only see the event for tracking the pageview.
However, traffic is being split between the two variants, which suggests that the logic is executing properly. In addition, I see no JS errors on the console related to this (just deprecated usages of _trackPageLoadTime which we are removing.

I don't suppose anyone has had a chance to look at this bug?
