Hi, what platform are you using for your website?
Is it wordpress or blogger.. or a google site or are you editing pages via an interface provided by your hosting company?

I am using wordpress, I don't have a <head>. tag. Only <p> and </p>for beginning and end of text.

Ok.. to keep this as painless as possible for you I'd suggest going to wordpress.org and downloading one of the free plugins for installing google analytics
My personal fav is this one:
It offers some great options for configuring GA including blocking your own visits from being tracked when on your site.
Having said that, if you have problems with it you will have to follow up on wordpress.org of via the plugin creator for support if you have problems with it.
We dont offer support for 3rd party plugins etc.
The other option is to edit your themes header.php file and manually insert the tracking code before the closing </head> tag
You will need to do this any time you change your theme, if you use a plugin then you wont have to do it each time you change your theme.
If your using a wordpress.com blog then without quite a bit of extra work you wont be able to use google analytics more info here:
