There are number users with not having this option. Google introduced this option on 4th June only, and will take some time to trickle down to all the users.
Wait for time.

Do you perhaps have any idea when this is trickled down to all users?
We can't use google website optimizer anymore and we dont have the functionality that they have introduced?

Not sure, Ideally as per Google you can access GWO till 1st August.

My GWO stats are screwed up since this update, I now have false conversions showing on
all my existing GWO experiments.
Something has been really messed up somewhere.

This also appears to be an issue for new users. Just signed up for a Google Analytics account for work and I'm unable to see the Experiments menu item as well.

Verified that this is indeed an issue for new users added to an existing Analytics account. Just created another brand new Google account and added as an Administrator on an existing Analytics site profile. I am able to login and manage every faced of the Analytics profile except Experiments.

Hi GA users.
Its not with new GA users, I am having GA account since 2 years still the option is not available for me. How ever if I try log in into GA account with firm account I can see this option.
So no need to panic, the new option will trickle down to all the GA users soon. Lets cross our fingers.

Testing and experimentation of websites may sound complicated, but we've worked hard to provide a testing tool that makes it as easy as possible: http://grinepk.blogspot.com/

I actually managed to get a hold of a Google rep on the phone regarding this issue. They are rolling out to select users over the month of July and should have it for everyone by end of the month. However, there is no way to request early access. I agree with your annoyance of the situation; I'm wanting to start a 3 month experiment, and if I start in Website Optimizer that product will be shut down halfway through. Also I'm seeing Experiments in one Analytics account but unfortunately not for the account I'm wanting to test. All in all, Google customer support sucks horrendously and they don't care about leaving people in the dust with no option for long term testing until they get Experiments at Google's discretion.

Also when I spoke with the rep she had no idea that Website Optimizer was being shuttered. I read her words from a blog post right off an official Google blog to tell her. She had to check with other people to get the info I needed. Way to have customer service reps who know what's going on :p

I had the same issue originally. I found a work around.
I couldn't see the experiments option when I was loged in with an none analytics account for example te...@yahoo.com. However I do have gmail address (quite old) where I can see the experiments options when I log into analytics. What i did was to add this gmail address to the account I need to create the experiment:
To activate I followed
Not sure this will work for all gmail accounts. Maybe mine is an old gmail account, this is why it worked! no idea!
Good luck :)

I tried with several different logins and no luck. Others?
Here's another vote to have this rolled out quickly.

well now mine is in my analytics account finally - but the conversion tracking isn't working! everything is showing 0 and nothing is tracking - it now supposed to know a conversion by the goal it is converting, but its not working :(
