Searching for explicit words or phrases without Google trying to be "clever" about their interpretation

I have repeatedly tried to search for specific words, as an example "Child", and found that Google has polluted my search results with its own interpretation of what it thinks I want to search for. In my example case (search: Richard Child Wiltshire) it would also search for the term "son". In my specific case I want to search for the word "Child" because my name is Child and therefore I only really want results which are "Child". Obviously I can put this search term in quotes but Google still re-interprets my search in its attempt to be helpful. I know that I could type "-son" but I don't actually want to exclude "son" I just don't want to bias my results to those which feature "son". How do I force Google to search for specific strings?
Another example: searching for "Anna Child" (in quotes) gives me results including "Anna's Child" (on page 2 of the search results) which is not the text string within the quotes.

Thanks!
