|Every event generates an invitation||geohei_170||11/17/12 8:37 AM|
Since 4-5 days ... from whereever I create an event, all caledars of my account (except the main calendar) gets an invistation instead of an event. I didn't touch anything within my settings (neither Google Calendar, nor at any device).
Devices used: 2x iPhone, 1x iPod touch, Goolge Calendar web interface, Lightning addon within Thunderbird.
The invitation appears on every device except the one which created the event.
Is this a known issue?

I contacted Apple and they said they have no idea what is occurring with this. They have not gotten back to me, and they were to have their tech team fix this problem.

So you confirm that this also occurs to you?
Are you sure it's Apple related?
I was going for Google Calendar initially.

I have the same problem since updating to the recent iOS update. Others have reported the same problem in other posts but nothing seems to be going on to address our issues.

Same problem, and this is a big problem!
Apple needs to adress this asap.

Yes, it is currently happening to me and is a major pain in the butt!
I do not know if it is Apple related, but the rep told me they are looking into it.
After reading a number of these posts I can see why it might be a Google problem. I wish they would fix it!

The same thing is happening to me but only on my iphone. I can still edit on my iPad but it doesn't have the new iOS 6.0.1 like my iphone. I think it's an Apple problem. I am so frustrated. I can't edit any of my calendars on my iphone that were entered on my computer.

Thanks a lot for the confirmations!
It looks to me as it was introduced with iOS 6.0.1.

Fixed it!! I hope this helps all of you frustrated iphone Google calendar users. I worked this out today with a friend who shares a Google calendar with me on her iphone. You may not need all the steps but it worked for me.
Go to settings (of course!), mail/contacts/calendars, add account, other, calendars Add CalDAV account, in server type in www.google.com, then your gmail user name and password, and description is www.google.com. Save this. Go back to accounts in settings and make sure www.google.com is ON. I left Exchange calendars ON and didn't change anything else.
Then open up your iphone calendar. Click the calendar button in the upper left corner. You should see the www.google.com account now. Click All www.google.com to turn it on. Unclick All Exchange. I kept the specialty holiday calendars in exchange but turned off everything else. Then hit done.
I now have beautiful pastel colored events instead of the primary colors but I am SO THRILLED to not get invitations anymore and to be able to edit, delete, change or whatever directly from my iphone. All my calendars work perfectly on my iphone - just like before!

This did not work for me. When I followed your steps it said nothing could be verified because of SSL.
Does anyone have any contact with Google?
|Re: Every event generates an invitation||geohei_170||11/21/12 2:08 AM|
Same here. Didn't work.
SSL faiöed. Without SSL ... also failed.
Tried www.google.com as server, google.com, m.google.com ... no joy!
What did you use as "Port" and "Account URL"?
Also ... several users report that CalDAV should indeed work. Starnge ...
Also2 ... push should not work like that. But it's better than than getting invitations i.s.o. events.

Same problem too.
Glad to find this forum to confirm that it is not one of my settings.
Has been frustrating as I have a whole new year of calendar to upload to a secondary work calendar and the web interface is the easiest. Yet everything appears as invitations.

This worked for me. Thanks!!!

When making changes in username put your whole email address (username and domain) not just the username.
