Blog wrongly pulled for spam, please help restore Xiaxue 1/17/13 12:11 AM
My blog http://xiaxue.blogspot.com has suddenly disappeared. There is no deleted blog tab and I received no email from blogger. The blog is not available on my dashboard.

Since others have experienced similar problems and it appears to have been caused by blogger thinking their blog is spam, I think the same thing happened to mine.

My blog does not contain spam and does not fit into any of the examples given of spam nor violated any terms and conditions.

Would really appreciate it if this is forwarded to blogger for a swift review which will clear up the misunderstanding.

Spam Appeal Guidelines - January 2013

If your blog has been falsely classified as a spam (hacking, porn) host, we apologise.  Nobody gains, with genuine, non spam Blogger blogs being deleted or locked falsely.  Given the fact that automated spam detection is not yet a perfect science, Blogger Support is always willing to investigate any reports of false positive spam reviews, politely posted here in the forum.

That being said, before you request an appeal, it's worth describing a few examples of what Blogger regularly removes, as part of its zero tolerance policy to abusive / inappropriate content: Read the FAQ, for a list of examples.

[FAQ] What Blog Content Is Considered Abusive, By Google Spam Mitigation Policy?

If you are the owner of the blog(s) in question, just reply here, saying that you've read the Guidelines, and objectively tell us whether any of the examples provided might be relevant to your blog - and we'll forward your appeal to Blogger Support.

Please note that the Blogger Team may look at other blogs in your account, as part of their review. If you request an appeal, and Blogger discovers other abusive / inappropriate content during the investigation, you risk having all of your content permanently removed. Please consider this when requesting an appeal.

Wendy,

There is an infinite number of "similar problems", which you may read about, in my various articles.  One cause of similar problems includes post floods, in the forums here.

You might do well to spend some time removing your other posts, so that you can be helped in this topic.

Hi Nitecruzr,

Thank you for your help. So the blog is under review them and if no spam is detected will be restored right? Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to speed up the process.

I am the owner of the blog. I have read the guidelines and none of the examples provided are relevant to my blog. Please forward my appeal to blogger support.

Wendy,

There are indeed several things that you can do, to speed up the process.
  • Stop multi-posting.
  • Don't encourage cross-posting, hijacking, multi-posting, and post floods.
  • Remove your other posts.
  • Wait patiently, until your blog can be reviewed.

Earlier this evening, we endured a substantial post flood by the owner and readers of one popular blog.  We try very hard to discourage post floods, so each individual problem can be seen - and can be dealt with - without acrimony.
