Recently, I've been working on a few websites that are simply collections of embedded YouTube videos. These sites are each focused on a on a different "topic" or "niche". I do my own research on YouTube for these topics and post the best videos I can find in sub-categories within the topic. I also add supplementary information related to each video. Essentially, I am editorializing YouTube and attempting to create a more efficient way for SOME internet users to navigate the valuable content that is already on YouTube.
Obviously, YouTube and its users like the current, raw search-based experience. But I think more people would use YouTube, or watch its videos, if they more more user-friendly options for finding valuable content.
YouTube seems pretty lenient about embedding videos, but, I wonder how they feel about this style of "blogging" that I have been experimenting with.
