AMAZING COMMENT by  artbykarenehaley:

I was surprised from the very first video I posted that there currently IS no visual arts section on youtube to begin with, seeing as the site has become a popular place for artists to meet, share, and learn. We are not always making "how to draw" videos but rather are hosting our own sort of "here is my process" gallery; as well as visiting and networking with others. It seems we feel disregarded as a non-important group as of yet; and it's a little disheartening.
The arts are as enduring as time itself; people will never stop trying to make sense of the world through visual media. Be it digital, marker, paint, sculpture, whatever, there's a video on youtube showcasing it Our community is only going to grow, and it's only going to get louder and louder when it comes to this topic.
Merrill is right, this is important. It would help TREMENDOUSLY with the promotion and exposure of everyone here that wants to make a mark with their creations, that want to learn from other artists, that are searching for inspiration. The artists of the world deserve a place on Youtube that we can call our own.

You CANNOT state it any better than that!
